How dare he smile at his presser! The nerve of that guy...

I miss Ballard. I'll never forget that great game he had against Houston.

Am I the one not thinking were THAT good on D? We're way better than before, but we still get gashed by the run and leave receivers/TEs wide open at times. We're very inconsistent. Even when its bad it tends to be real bad. I'm not going to call us one of the best defenses in the league until we become consistent. Im loving the potential though. However, 3 games is a very small sample size.

Wait, I thought he was a bust?
I know you're joking, but I can't see how a 4th (5th?) rounder can be considered a bust. What are people expecting from this kid? Any contribution is a plus

I see Wilkins getting 100 instead of Hines

You just decided to make a post with no facts whatsoever?

Not true. The defense was actually very good in the early Luck years. Redding and Mathis, as well as probably the best secondary in the NFL at the time. Davis and a pre injury Toler were excellent man corners, and an enthused Landry and Bethea made a great S team. Butler was a great slot corner.
But Luck competed in the AFC South and Detroit always had GB to contend with. I think the Bears may have had decent teams back then.
What team were you watching? Because it certainly wasn't the Colts

God Basham over others was such a waste. I see no reason why Ballard kept him other than he was one of his picks..

No different than Michael!
He's bounced around the league long enough for people to realize he probably isn't gonna reach his potential.

Picks 1,4,6, 33,35,36 and 37 in the 1st 2 rounds and still have the 1st overall pick for your franchise QB.
I dunno.
You're taking into account picks are we already have. If we're dealing with the Browns, we're not gonna settle for just 4 of their picks just because we have a couple of nice high picks ourselves. They'd need to cough up a lot more for Luck.

Picks #1,4,33 and 35 hmmmm. I may have jumped on that deal.
Seeing how Luck seems to be back to his normal self, that deal would have been gunpoint robbery for the Browns. I'm glad we declined.

I hardly noticed him. I guess that's good no?

I'm gonna call Leonard the Janitor because he's been cleaning up everything

No there's not. Moore is not very good and Franklin is a good run a hit guy but he's still thinking too much and plays a bit slow because of it.
I agree. Moore has nice coverage skills but was brutal in tacking and angles from what I saw.

Lol he's getting scooped up faster than a puppy making vomit sounds on the carpet

Agree but Basham is bigger and playing his natural position now. Simon is to small to play end. Sad but true. he will be picked up luckily if healthy.
Basham was straight garbage though. "Natural position" nonsense has to stop. Simon played the same position and excelled.

Square peg round hole
Please elaborate more. Because all I saw was a player tearing it up on the field at his new position of DE.

I'm actually angry. Hankins I can live with. But this? Simon was easily a starter.

Okay... now I'm starting to question Ballard a bit. Simon was arguably our best DE. What is he thinking?

Like some have said, right player yet wrong time. He alone won't put us over the hump. Can't afford to give away valuable picks when we're still building.

He has been invisible. At least to me.
