Well, with that logic, let's consider Peyton's 6 INTs against the Chargers, and never vote him into the HF.

Loved that game, of course i was cheering for the other side then.

Yeah the Chargers have had a history of terrible FO management as you know. They had a borderline great team from 2006-2009 and had the Colts number for some reason. That was one team Peyton rarely beat. I was so glad we got the Patriots at home in 2006 instead of having to play at SD for the Title Game. That sounds funny but we were unbeatable at home and I felt like that was the one year we had more talent the Pats. The 2006 Chargers were a machine, they gave that game away vs the Pats.

Nightmares...i can still name so many things that went wrong in that game. the one time i almost was reduced to tears from the outcome of a game because I knew how good they were and had that game won.

    Damn You Marlon McCree!!!!

I have to admit I thought Leaf would be Good at worse and I was 50/50 on who the Colts should've took going back to 1998 almost up until Draft day because of how Peyton played against Florida every year and Nebraska too. Once things started to come out about Leaf's attitude just days before Draft day I was leaning more toward Peyton, glad Irsay was too. I also remember listening to Archie speak days before the Draft and I was like Peyton comes from a great family and background.

I hated Archie Manning for the way he dealt with the Eli situation and refusing to play for SD..and now in hindsight...he was probably completely right about everything and didnt want to deal with the Spanos family

Coming out of college, all of the Draft experts from Mel to many thought you couldn't go wrong with Leaf or Peyton. Most even said Leaf had the stronger arm and was a more vocal leader. When it came to RG3 and Luck, many ESPN analysts liked RG3 better believe it or not. Not just Skip Bayless either but Jamele Hill laughed and said RG3 would be a better a Pro than Luck as well. She has her show now, I laugh at that actually. When I Post from now on and say media - I will name names to please people so they don't think I am spewing garbage.

Jemele Hill has always been garbage IMO, I remember her from her time on Page 2 on the ESPN website. Her takes have always been terrible

We have been a Top 5 franchise really since the 1995 Season when Harbaugh almost got us to the SB, even before Peyton. I think we will get it together now that Ballard is in charge. Jim Irsay has been a great owner in reality. A couple of SB appearances and a SB win on his resume. + We were just in the AFC Championship Game 2 years ago with Luck leading the way, moving past the great Peyton era. We have had a couple of head scratching seasons in a row but Irsay crapcanning Grigson and hiring Ballard was just one of his many fantastic moves over the years as owner. I don't rank it with Drafting Peyton and then Luck but it may be 3rd. Drafting Peyton and Luck was Irsay's final call, make no mistake about that. No way in hell was he going to allow our GM's to Draft Leaf or RG3. Some people may say it was no brainers not taking Leaf or RG3 but almost everyone in the media had both those players rank just as great as Peyton and Luck.

It's funny to see how the other side thought of this, because I was on the end that drafted Leaf. We were so hyped because like you said the media thought Leaf was gonna be huge as well, and he was amazing in the Preseason. Then the regular season started and we started seeing just what a hot head he was, almost fighting fans, chasing cheerleaders, and getting into altercations with our local media...even through all that, I think he could have been a decent QB if he didn't have Kevin Gilbride as a coach those first few seasons.

Well... who knows what will happen in training camp, but I would say you should watch out for these names:

    - Donte Moncrief (big contact year for him coming up, needs to stay healthy though)

    - Chester Rogers (not a constant playmaker, but made some seriously clutch plays for us last year when we damned well needed them)
    - Eric Swoope (TE who came into the NFL from College basketball having never played a down of football in his life, emerged last year as a pass catching threat - averaged 19.8 yards per catch)

    - Edwin Jackson (aka poundcake) - tough downhill linebacker, likes a big tackle... it'll be hard not to notice him.

    - Henry Anderson (if healthy). - Had an outstanding rookie season until an ACL derailed it. Was on track to compete for DROY.

    What position does Anderson play?

  7. Welp Congrats to the Preds, they are a lot better than their regular season record showed...

Solid season overall for my Blues, especially as bad as it looked around mid season.

Hoping the Capitals can finish off their great comeback so I can watch more of Oshie and Shatty, still love those 2.

Out of curiosity, if the Chargers and Colts both make the playoffs and face each other this season, who would you honestly be rooting for? Have the owners completely ruined the franchise for you, or does a little bit of Bolt loyalty still remain?

Not trying to out you or anything, just genuinely curious as to how badly their owners have damaged your perception of the team.

I would be interested to see what ColtCola thinks of the Colts draft, or if he is in a position as of yet to draw any conclusions.  I would guess he's still trying to learn names on the current roster?  Not guys like Luck and Hilton and Gore of course, but some of the lesser-known guys, which are many to non-Colts fans.

I will always have love for Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates and I won't deny that it is going to be tough not to root for them. but the owner destroyed all chances of me pulling for the organization to flourish. Growing up in San Diego, I have a general hatred towards the city of Los Angeles that was bred into me. Outside of California, most people don't realize the difference between LA and SD, but think of it like Yankees fans having their team move to Boston and still cheering for them.

It is tough trying to learn the players on the Colts outside of the obvious ones, although I do like Doyle from what little I did see of him last year. My dad is actually a huge Ohio State fan, so I saw a lot of Malik Hooker last year, and I am really excited to watch him in the NFL. But if a Colts Chargers playoff game happens you can bet 100% i will be Colts all the way.

  9. Hey Guys,

I'm a newbie Colts Fan and was just wondering what kinds of Promotional giveaways, if any, the Colts organization  give to the fans at games. In all my years as a Chargers fan, I think the biggest thing I ever got at a game was a Magnetic team schedule or a rally towel. Even when they wanted to have us wear all white, they would just tell us to make it a white Hot Sunday, but the owner was too cheap to give away a white T Shirt to fans going to games? I know Baseball teams are constantly giving away promotional items at games and I was curious if NFL teams do, or if it is similar to what I have experienced already.

  10. Must win Game 4 for my Blues tonight. Don't wanna go down 3-1, and we have to take at least one in Nashville if we want to win this Series. Hopefully the Blues show up and actually win some puck battles or we are toast. Nashville has been living inside the Blue Line this series and Allen hasn't had much of a chance on a lot of the goals he's given up.

Heres to hoping Jake Allen can play like this tonight:headspin:

For sure.  It is an art and not an exact science.  And this GM could very well be wrong regarding McCaffrey.  But his saying that the McCaffrey workout he saw was the best that he ever witnessed is a pretty strong statement.  And I only mentioned because it directly refuted Majin's attempt to minimize his workout.

Everyone Lies This time of year. Everyone.

That said, I have an odd suspicion we get McCaffrey at 15.

That was a pretty cool idea. Seems to me a natural Colts fan, he didn't want no part of Patriots fandom

Patriots did some serious damage to some great Chargers teams. AFCCG in 2008 when Rivers played on a torn ACL, and the year before when Marlon McCree picked off Brady to all but seal a victory only to fumble it away 3 seconds later... Still get Nightmares.

Hopefully I can witness Our Colts raising that Lombardi in the near future

I have been a Colt's fan for 20 years.  They never gave me anything free...

My son's birthday is the day we play the Cardinals at home.  He will be 9 and has never been to a game.  I have never been to a game where I didn't sit way up top.   I looked up tickets and I cannot afford decent seats.  I want to sit as close to the field as possible to give my boys the best Colt's football experience possible.

Can I have free lower section tickets for my 2 sons, wife, and I?

Can't blame a guy for trying... lol

Write them a letter, they spent $12 on shipping and i got a drawstring backpack and last years Team Yearbook with my letter back. Not sure how much the Colts normally charge, but the Chargers Yearbooks normally went for around $10. Worst thing that could happen is you lose 37 cents for the stamp.

That is pretty awesome, actually. Poor guy doesn't realize Bob Irsay did the same thing back in the day. But I'll take it! lol

I do know the history...but I didn't exactly choose the Colts, the idea was for them to choose me...and the Colts were the only responding team that showed they actually took the time to read my letter, and the being appreciated part is what made the Colts my team.

    Predictions for round 2?

Nashville-St. Louis: This is a toss up to me.  Jake Allen has been an absolute wall in net whereas Nashville swept the top ranked team in the West.  I have no idea who to pick here, but I'll say Blues in 7

Edmonton-Anaheim: This will be another good series.  I'm taking Edmonton in 6

Washington-Pittsburgh: Kinda scared here as a Caps fan, but I'm still believing.  Caps in 7

Ottawa-New York: Another tough one.  I really like Ottawa, but I think New York is just too well-rounded and Ludqvist was very good in the first round.  New York in 6

    Nashville/St. Louis   Blues in 6

    Edmonton/Anaheim  Edmonton in 7

    Washington/Pittsburgh Pittsburgh in 5

    Ottawa/New York  Rangers Sweep

I'm a Blues fan because you have a couple of former Oilers that I like in Yakupov and Paajarvi (try spelling his name without Google).  I didn't think the Blues had much of a chance because of how well Minny did during the regular season.  I think they had a 12 game winning streak at one point.  For the Blues to be up 3-0 is unreal.  As a Blues fan, do you regret giving up Shatty now that the team is doing so well in the playoffs?

I loved Shatty...22 is my lucky number, but our team started clicking right after hitchcock was canned and we are playing great through these 3 games...I would probably regret it more if we were down 0-3...

beginning of the year, i was * we gave Elliott away to the flames, In hindsight it has turned out quite nice.

  17. Blues up 3-0.

Allen has been great this series, and Dubnyk isn't playing bad for the Wild. Wild pretty much controlled the first 2 games but my Blues snuck those 2 games from under them. 3rd game the Defense pretty much controlled the wild and led to a lot of odd man breaks for the Blues. Hoping to finish them off in 4 and then sit back and watch the rest of the western conference beat each other up.
