  1. Reuland on the PS could do what Doyle does better than Havili based on what I've seen (though Havili would no doubt get the nod ahead of Reuland due to knowledge and experience). I don't think Havili has a role anymore and he has no PS eligibility. He's really relying on injuries at this point. Personally, I think Nixon has a better chance of coming back on the roster than Havili.

  2. Good game colts looked sharp. Heck we made T-rich look good. Our offense sucked. Gl guys on deep play off run

I think we all know your team is world's better when healthy. But don't worry, we're coming to knock the Steelers down next!

Hope your season turns out better than today.

  3. Personally, I feel that a healthy McNary can very much be a starter in this league. In the (admittedly limited) play I've seen from him, he looks like he's explosive, can blitz and can cover a bit. Getting that time in and more experience (and more durability) could pay big dividends for him.

Hopefully he earns a bigger role going forward. I think there is a ton of room for his particular skill set, especially with Mathis out.

  4. I wouldn't think we would we aren't in need there so once you put in a request you go to the bottom of the line that is what I figured.

Can you see what teams have put in request anywhere

As stated elsewhere, there is no way of finding out who put in claims.

Also, the waiver system doesn't recycle the order. It is what it is. The worst team in the league will always have priority on players who are released on waivers (still players with 4 or less years accrued, I believe). If I recall, waivers will change a few weeks into the season, so that the current team with the worst record will have priority and the team with the best team will have the least.

  5. how do you know who put in claims for the players?

Waivers work by giving priority to teams who finished worse. Since the Colts and Pats both made it to the playoffs, priority is given to the team eliminated first. The Colts were eliminated prior the to Pats, so the Colts have priority on the waiver wire. Since the Colts had higher priority on waivers than the Pats, and the Pats got Quarles, there is no possible scenario in which the Colts put in a claim for him.

  6. His quote makes it sound like he's holding himself accountable completely.

It's subjective. The "That's on me part" does, but he craps on it, in my opinion, with his horrible "didn't know the rules" pitch sounds like the biggest dodge of responsibility you could give in a faux apology.

  7. I'm not that worried about having a capable QB3 this season, as Hasselbeck is clearly the back-up. I do hope the team looks into a QB with some backup potential for the practice squad. Hasselbeck is not going to be around forever and it's probably a good time to find his replacement. You're not necessarily going to find him, and indeed might draft his replacement or sign a vet in his place eventually, but I think it's wise to check out younger talent who might have a chance on the practice squad.

Personally, and not that it's worth anything, though guys like Chase Rettig, Brock Jensen, and Jeff Mathews had the makings of being long term backups if developed. They are all free agents now. Not that they are necessarily better than Chandler, but I think we know what he is now.

  8. I haven't noticed him have many drops or trouble with his hands.  With that said, he hasn't had much playing time, so perhaps he has dropped a pass or two and I don't remember it.

Go back and watch the Patriots game last year.

    As for his intelligence:

Having a WR-QB combo with great physical talents and very high football IQ gets me really excited.  If Rogers can continue to develop, I think he has the potential to be one of the best WRs in the league.  He reminds me a lot of a poor man's Dez Bryant in a lot of ways.

I just don't buy this. The guy talks about all of the negative off the field issues, I just don't think it'd be professional to not try and boost him up somewhat. And he was no doubt a fine college player. But he's shown little to none of that since being in the NFL, not the least of all tonight. Yeah, he dominated that Bengals game (with, if I recall, a depleted secondary) and made a great catch against the Chiefs, but he failed to match that Bengals game production in his next 3 games as a starter and made only one catch in the Chief's game. For a guy with Cris Carter level or high football IQ, he certainly doesn't show it.

  9. I would trade him for a 2nd for sure.  I would listen to a 3rd as well.  But yeah, think of the future.  A lot of the WRs we have are young, so we could have a really strong WR corps to develop some mean chemistry with Luck for the next few years

True, but he's been good so far.  He hasn't done anything to give the idea that he isn't progressing.  There have been no reports of him being late for practice or meetings, he has stayed out of trouble off the field, he's made some big plays on the field.  It's hard to say from my perspective because I'm not in practices and meetings, but it appears as though he's working hard to develop.  Guys who are 6'3" with good hands, great IQ, and a lot of explosive ability aren't easy to find.

I completely agree on the bolded. Too bad we don't have anyone like that.

Roger has potential for sure, but I think it's asinine to say he has good hands and great IQ. His hands aren't bad, but I'd describe them as slightly over average, but not by much.

And IQ? I entirely disagree. He seems to have little masking in his body language, seems to give half effort at times when he's not the target, and, to me, doesn't seem to show much nuance in his game. Nothing I've seen says he has a football IQ that says 'great' to me, perhaps not even 'good'.

  10. That's not on Rogers, that's on Pep's play calling. He can only run what he's told to run. I would like to see some more inside crossing routes like Pep had him doing in the Cincy game myself, but if he keeps beating his man over the top you have to keep exploiting it until the other teams stop it.

Having seen him in camp, I'm not convinced it is on Pep. Rogers is wildly more effective running the go route than any other route by a wide margin. His route running is bad. Not sub-par - bad. He's not appeared to have advanced as a route runner at all, and he quite honestly looks lazy in his attempts to run routes at all.
