I guess the "great" defense is getting "gassed" EARLY by allowing TD"s to an avg at best offense. People do realize that this same defense is RANKED near dead last in the red zone.

Should be one of those LOW scoring games because the Giants offense doesn't scare ANYONE and the Colts offense is just plain awful but the defense SHOULD look good in this game given the opponent UNLESS they get "gassed" late...

I was just giving him the benefit of the doubt because Ryan has been god awful. Foles can still give you that one or two good game here or there but NOTHING long term.

I expect the Colts to win this one with Foles at qb. The Chargers are inconsistent and with Ballard coming back I'm quit sure they have a 2023 qb plan in place. The BIGGER picture is to get a couple of wins to sell Saturday as hc next season.

Colts lack EXPLOSIVE players on offense PERIOD!!!!! Too many fgs. Hard to consistently stop an offense with big play abilities. The Colts methodical run first offense is just too hard in today's nfl. Time in the off season to revamp this offense.

Our PASSING game reminds me of pop warner football.

We NEVER take a shot downfield immediately after a turnover!!! That was a Manning and a early Luck staple.

Don't get me wrong Sam's a good kid by ALL accounts and will give his all but unfortunately it's just not good enough at this level to get this team to SB contention. That's the WHOLE point EVERYTHING around Sam has to be perfect in order for him to succeed. The special ones like a Manning or Luck can come into dumpster fires and give you a shot. I just used those two because they were Colts but I can name many more. Until we go out and get one of those young DYNAMIC qbs this team will be stuck in mud. That is the league now and Ballard has done this team a grave disservice by building the offense the way he has. The qb position is not plug and play. Sam can helm a limited offense but is that good enough? If mediocrity is the goal then yes.

No one EXPECTS him to be great after two games but Sam's ceiling is low! Just because Ballard picked him (when most passed) doesn't mean all of a sudden that he's going to turn into a franchise qb. Sam has limitations that will keep him from being a special type. That Patriot game ALONE sent Sam back to the bench. If you believe in Saturday respect his choice. I said if they wanted a higher pick then stick with Sam.

I guess you forgot about the Pats game in which he looked like he didn't belong in the league as noted by many in the national media! I watched Sam in college and he was nothing special ESPECIALLY against the better schools. Too many limitations. Many thought he would go UNDRAFTED but Ballard saw the "sauce" in him! Not his fault put that and the MANY other offensive flaws on Ballard.

So Sam was the answer?! I remember his two starts NOTHING special and that Pats game, YIKES!!! Jeff made the right call because Sam wouldn't have even won that Raider game. ALL the qbs on this roster are subpar ESPECIALLY Sam who doesn't look the same against STARTING nfl defenses! He can't make a career against 4th string pre-season defenses!!! My point was to mix it up on offense. Once Philly started shutting down the run the Colts continued to force the run on early downs! I think Matt is washed (believed that BEFORE we aquired him) BUT he is the lesser of the evils in our qb room. I'm still baffled that Ballard is getting a pass for this mess. This team is a LONG way from being a contender. Just good enough to give flashes here and there after SIX YEARS of building.

Colts wasted nice field position throughout trying to run and play tight. Frazier was ok last week against a bad team but this looked like Frank all over again. Qb number wise and points scored. (low again)

Hope the Colts win but our LIMITED offense is hard to watch. Too methodical, non explosive and NO room for error!! Long fgs can't be missed it's PREMIUM for our scoring.

Colts are getting WAY too conservative on offense!!! Playing the game HOPING the defense can stop them the ENTIRE game! Too much forcing the run now.

We have a BASIC offense period! No matter the coach or playcaller. Not enough EXPLOSIVE receivers nor do they have a top tier type of qb either and you need BOTH in today's nfl. Everything is too methodical with NO room for error. Their offense is HOPING that JT can break one. (Which he just did!!!)Bad throw by Ryan on the 2pt conversion.

Repeat after me.... He has the sauce! Sam HAS the sauce! Ballard is a TOP gm and Frank is a good coach! Say it enough times and it MIGHT come true!!!!!

I have always said that Frank doesn't understand that you can RUN off tackle, call misdirection plays and utilize sweeps. He doesn't try to make ANYTHING easy for his backs. More of a hope that they can bust one loose up the middle.

Which is why I said earlier this falls at Ballard's feet!!! The o-line is a mess!!! Once Nelson started having back issues he hasn't been the same and neither will Leonard but BOTH are two of the highest paid in the LEAGUE at their position. In Ballard and Reich we trust!

Frank told me two things last week... That Marcus Brady was the problem as oc and that Sam had the "sauce!!!" Both Brady and Matt Ryan quietly snicker.....

I'm talking how he looked in preseason against 4th stringers that had some talking like he was the next coming of a "special" type of qb. What was Matt supposed to do either? The o-line stinks. This is a Ballard and Reich issue!!! This Pat team ain't fielding the 85 Bears defense. As a matter of fact this version of the Pats isn't even good!

Sam doesn't LOOK the same against STARTING DEFENSES!!!! His limitations show. Yes he has heart but is nothing special. Everything has to nearly perfect for him which is why he is NOT a franchise qb.
