The management are trying to show the NFL not to sign a QB to a big contract........

The contract just happened and is not responsible for the sad condition of the current roster. A series of mistakes by Grigs is!!!

Going forward it will be a liability but it doesn't explain the current pathetic roster and lack of talent.

I'm simply asking because in the last couple of drives the Chiefs were applying HEAVY pressure and getting sacks with just THREE down lineman against our FIVE offensive lineman. It seemed like since they were getting WHIPPED all game long that they simply quit in the end. Thoughts?

To me, it looked like they were still fighting at the end. Even with the new additions they aren't that talented. Castonzo and Reitz were overpowered all day long. I don't know who had responsibility for Poe but on a couple of snaps he wasn't touched on his rush. Miscommunication???

  3. The Chiefs offense may not be great but one of their best weapons is Kelce, their Pro Bowl TE. With our no pass cover ILBs, it is a very bad match up for us. I expect that Andy Reid is game planning to take advantage of the mismatch. He may be salivating at the prospect.

2 but only 1 will come from the draft. The other will come from in house. I'm expecting Rush Linebacker in the draft. I'd love to get Cunningham but I think Pagano and company see Morrison as the starter next year in place of Jackson and who knows at the other ILB spot but likely from in house. I don't think they have the slightest interest in fast ILB's that can cover.

I think we hold onto Walden or Ayers takes his place

I'm not sold on Morrison yet. He may be good against the run but to my eyes he hasn't shown he can pass cover across the middle. We are sorely lacking in that area. I am concerned that the Chiefs' Kelce will eat us up on Sunday.

If we look at the defense from a paper point of view, it's pretty easy for us to see that we have talent.

A young secondary who has Vontae as a leader... Geathers who makes me want to believe he can do more than just tackle (Like Bob Sanders did).... Green who has so much potential... Adams who has been the security blanket, but will be gone soon, Butler who can really make plays but is plagued with injuries and coaching? Robinson, IDEK

Okay... i'll admit the LBer's corp is really mehhh. Walden has been average, McNary is mehhh, Morrison has potential (hopefully in coverage soon), Jackson strives anywhere he goes, Mathis I still have faith, I forgot everyone else because we got rid of Irving and Moore???

And the D-Line! What happened, They have the potential to be so stout! Anderson, McGill!!!! Jones, Kerr, Parry

All these guys and their potential sound so awesome, but what's the deal? Do they need more time to gel just like the O-line? Are they all not as good as we make them out to be individually? Can they not perform in unison? Do we just have terrible coaching?

I just don't see how we can have the 30th ranked defense in the NFL....

Linebacking is bad. Walden is OK. Passes to tight ends or running backs are going to kill us every game.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000722812/article/frank-gore-i-didnt-come-here-for-this

When Frank Gore signed up with the Indianapolis Colts in 2015, the franchise was coming off back-to-back division titles and three straight playoff appearances.

It was supposed to be a team primed to take a step forward. Instead, Chuck Pagano's squad has crashed, going 8-8 last season and starting this year 2-4.

Following Sunday night's disparaging collapse to the Houston Texans, Gore lamented the situation while talking to Indy Star columnist Gregg Doyle.

According to Doyle, while the rest of the players talked in platitudes about getting back to work and putting the loss behind them, Gore seemed frustrated almost to tears."I didn't come here for this," the former 49ers running back said. "I came here to get into the tournament."

With the loss, the Colts fell to last place in the AFC South. In the cellar of the worst division in the NFL isn't a place that a team with playoff aspirations should find itself six games into the season.

"We'll go back to work tomorrow," coach Chuck Pagano said Sunday. "What else are you gonna do?"

The Colts have come unhinged due to a defense that can't get stops when it matters, an inconsistent offense and a coaching staff that perpetually mismanages games.

Gore didn't join the Colts to miss the playoffs or go 21 straight games before breaking the 100-yard-rushing barrier. This wasn't how it was supposed to go for the 33-year-old veteran in search of aSuper Bowl ring to cement his Hall of Fame case.

Unfortunately for Gore, with a roster haphazardly put together by Ryan Grigson and mismanaged by Pagano, things appear more likely to get worse in Indy before they get better.

    Poor guy. He deserves better.

Too bad for Frank. He gets his millions regardless. This 100 yard thing is just vanity dressing. Win some damned games!!!

Funny how I haven't heard a peep tonight from the "defend Chuck at all costs" crowd.  You guys finally realizing that Chuck sucks?

I have been on this board a long long time. I have never defended nor wanted Chuck replaced.

Now, with the season essentially over six games in,  I want Chuck's head on a platter.

  8. You know. Grigson is responsible for the 53 who were on the field tonight. They should have closed out a 14 point lead. They didn't. Put that squarely on Chuck Pagano's shoulders. He is a wonderful motivator.  The players love him. But he can't win games.  Period. End of story.
