Nice tackle by TY!

OK. 4th quarter coming up. Let's win a 4th quarter!
-
The defense is sad

Are the flood gates open? I hope not!

I'm sure any decision wrt JB will be heavily influenced by the assessment of AL's health before the 2018 draft.
If Luck is good to go, I think JB would command a 2nd or high 3rd round pick.
If Luck would go down again, wins would be a struggle for JB or any other backup. We are weak at so many other positions that the extra picks are very valuable to us.
-
Here it goes
-
Steelers 48 Colts 17
-
I'd go with Simon or Hankins
-
Vegas has us as underdogs for every game remaining. I say Luck comes back for 2 or 3 games at the end of the season to show his arm health in an effort to make our HC position more attractive for prospective candidates.
With that in mind, I say we win 1 more game this season with AL back.

Philbin for interim. Irsay, throw the fans a bone.
-
Can we ask for a mercy end to this game? A white flag?
-
Pathetic!!!!!

I'm deriving no pleasure from this garbage. Nothing positive at all.
No D

this is disgusting.
This is a poor product and I'm ashamed I consume it.
It's a very poor product. A fan boycott might be in order.

Another cappy second half! Doyle stunk again. Yikes.

Am I the only one who's not severely disappointed by this game? I thought the guys played well for most of the game, but just the quality of Seahawks D finally punctured our resolve and confidence and when it happened it was like a dam broke. We just don't have the required talent and coaching to go against the best teams, yet. Seattle has its own problems but one thing they have that is absolutely elite is their defense. Without Luck we are not good enough at anything in order to stand against the elite units of the league. I'm kinda encouraged that we managed to stave off the flood for that long.
We are just starting to fill the roster with competent players. It will take some time but I like the direction and some of our young pieces. IMO next off-season Ballard needs to focus on O-line, RB, passrush, ILB with good coverage ability because none of ours are even average in coverage right now. If he manages to fix half of them in free agency and half of them through the draft, this will be a great start to his tenure.
p.s. oh yeah... he needs to fix the coaching position too...
A followup comment on our ILBs... It seems as though CB, Chuck, et. al. go for thumping run suffers over versatile ILBs who might not be quite as punishing against the run, but can cover better. Bostic, Morrison and DQJ are my prime examples.
Opposing teams with a good TE or a good pass catching RB have been able to march down the field relentlessly with crossing routes across the middle as a result. I am not nearly enamored with Bostic as CB and CP apparently are.

Powerball is $115 million. Everyone can win that and invest it into a fund to buy the Colts. We'll do what Jeter did with the Marlins. He only needed $25 million of his own money, so $115 million should be plenty as one of the leading investors.
Duh, the pot gets divided by the number of winning tickets. If 10 Colts fans have winning tickets their sum total together would be $115 million. I'm stupid for even commenting on this.

I don't have to look at past success. I know this team's record better than some fans here who have been Colts fans for more than 20 years.
Being a "new Colts fan" doesn't make me an uninformed fan. I know what the Colts have done under Pagano, apparently a lot better than you do.
The facts support Pagano. And there are ZERO FACTS that say he sucks at his job. You're entitled to your opinion, but you have no facts to back them up. But the way, I suspect your view is in the majority around here and mine is in the minority. And I'm fine with that. The majority around here is often wrong.
I take exception to your ZERO. Pagano is a poor game day tactician. Supporting evidence: New England fake punt, the hurry up to take away Mack's TD, poor clock management v Detroit, etc. The NE debacle is an all time blooper!!

It's obvious Chris Ballard watched the Week 4 preseason matchup: Giants @ Patriots.
The game that went onto be titled "Jacoby Brissett Had the Greatest Performance in Preseason History"
https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2017/9/1/16240450/jacoby-brissett-preseason
JACOBY BRISSETT MAKES THE START;
PLAYS THE ENTIRE GAME AND GOES OVER 300 YARDS
QB Jacoby Brissett started the game and finished 28-of-39 for 341 yards with four touchdowns and one rushing touchdown...Brissett led two scoring drives in the first half and completed all of his passes on those drives. He opened the game 4-for-4 for 60 yards, In the second quarter he led a touchdown drive by going 4-for-4 for 71 yards.
(a few days after the game Ballard traded Phillip Dorsett for Brissett)
I watched that entire game on NFL Replay and another player that really stood out against the Giants was:
CB
42 Moore II, Kenny (who Ballard also just recently picked up off waivers from N.E.)
And now we have acquired, WR Devin Lucien
Who also, if you watched this game, you couldn't help but notice...
Had a sensational performance against the Giants backups, and was practically uncoverable.
FIRST-YEAR WR DEVIN LUCIEN CAME UP BIG
WR Devin Lucien led the team with five receptions for 96 yards and one touchdown. He scored on a 12-yard touchdown pass from QB Jacoby Brissett in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter he caught a 45-yard pass from Brissett to help get in position for Brissett’s 4-yard touchdown run.So we have now acquired three Patriot players, all of which had outstanding performances in their final preseason game.
Just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The Mayflower truck "driving through the night" certainly didn't gain anyone''s respect. I'm surprised it was included. Probably at Irsay's insistence.
-
Rams 20-6.
-
My two biggest concerns on defense are getting overpowered by the OL, which happened even when Hankins and Wood were in in previous game, and our poor coverage of short, over-the-middle routes which opponents feast on to move the chains.
-
From reports, he has been working on improving his route running. If he succeeds, perhaps Chud will use him in a less predictable way. Let's hope.
-
Didn't we get Farley from Chuck U?
-
Sheard, ejax, Bostic, Simon. I hope other ILBs show enough to bump Morrison off the roster. Morrison can't cover and teams don't always run on 1st and 2nd downs.

It gets down to this. If you are looking for something in advance you're more likely to see it. Ala fake news.
