There is no way Jeffery Simmions lasts til our second 2nd round pick we will be lucky if hes available for our 1st round pick

You're right. He goes with our first 2nd round pick. DK goes with our second. If DK is gone we go with Harmon.

Swap the picks. Typing too fast

Cle Ferrell abused and man handled Jonah Williams(best OT prospect in the draft) at times in the natty. If he somehow slides down to the Colts pick, they better sprint that card to the podium! I have a feeling he'll be long gone by the time the Colts pick.

In the event he is...D. Lawrence or Jeffrey Simmons would be my pick.

He’s still a top 3 receiver in the league. He may be 30 but he hasn’t shown signs of slowing down yet. And not all GMs are looking to add good locker room guys like Ballard. Someone will pay up. If Amari Cooper can go for a 1st there’s no doubt in my mind AB will go for a 1st.

Cooper is a "YOUNG STUD". Dont mistake dumb decisions made by other GMs as wise moves. Dallas were desperate and needed to take a chance. Gruden is just dumb and wants everything his way (who trades away their #1 WR and DE???. Every situation is different.

The FA class at WR is weak. Golden Tate is nothing special at this point. Tyrell Williams is long and fast, but he is not a guy who consistently gets open.

Guys we need to be scouting for the draft:

DK Metcalf (think josh Gordon without of the field issues)

N’keal Harry (similar to dez Bryant)

Riley Ridley (reminds me of Reggie Wayne)

Kelvin Harmon (physical, great body control, shows upside as route runner )

    Next tier:

Hakeem Butler (huge, has occasional drops and route running issues)

Antoine Wesley (huge, better route runner than butler , really skinny)

Denzel Mims  (size speed freak who needs to work on route running)

Damarkus Lodge - good releases and body control

I really like Dk & Harmon. But we will only be able to draft one. I would go with DK in the 2nd and draft Deebo or Campbell in the 3rd. Wr spot would be solidified for a while.

    1st: DE C. Ferrell

    2nd: Wr DK Metcalf

    2nd: DT Jeffery Simmons

3rd:Wr Deebo Samuel (reminds me of Anquan Boldin) or Parris Campbell.

Trading Brissett to move up in the 1st round. With this draft being so deep on the dline moving up to snag a stud would be ideal. Let’s look at some of the teams in the teens that might be interested.

Cincy @ 11 (dalton wearing out his welcome)

miami @ 13 (hiring former pats coach)

washinton @ 15 (smith might not be ready for season)

So packaging our 26th and brissett to move up to pick 13-15 would be a smart move imo. It wouldn’t cost us picks. Jacoby is gone after this year anyway might as well get something for him. I would rather do this than trade him for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Although Brissett did an "ok" job for us when Luck was down, I just dont see a team willing to do that. He hasn't done enough (shown anything). He's a backup in this league. Period. Trading him for a 2nd rounder may be a stretch but a 3rd...definitely. IMO

I just looked at the wide receiver free agent list and I was wondering, who on this list would you give a contract to? Two names that really stand out to me are Kevin White  and Tyrell Williams. Williams is just 26 years old and is going to demand a big contract  Kevin White who is also 26, is the Bears 7th overall pick and has been lost in the shadows in Chicago.

I wouldn’t mind Ballard giving him a 1 year prove it deal just to him back on his feet to playing like he’s capable of playing. Then there’s the loaded WR draft class. What do you guys think? We need another WR to go along with Cain and TY. Chester Rodgers is a free agent and Ryan Grant is a free agent as well.

None of them. I would say trade for Brown but that means we give up a first. I like Ballards' approach...build through the draft. But I would definitely sign Leveon Bell. It would cause teams problems. Gameplan for Bell or Luck?? Either way, opposition loses. Just my two cents...

I know that in the past couple seasons we have drafted a few higher round running backs. They aren't terrible running backs by any means. Mack showed promise last year by breaking off a few long runs each game. Wilkins has pounded the rock in tough games this season and Hines has actually showed us that he's a unique gadget type player. We can use him as a receiver and it shows. However, I think the time has come to finally nail the running back pick. I'm not saying spend a 1st rounder on one but I'd prefer we pay up for one in the off season.

Next season's free agent class is loaded at running back and I hope Ballard takes into consideration that we need an great running back. This team doesn't need an Adrian Peterson or anything. But a good solid running back that can consistently keep the defenses on their toes and respect the run.  We can't keep throwing the football this many times per game and not run the ball. We're going to keep losing games against tougher opponents doing that.

Here's a list of some future free agent running backs:

David Johnson - Could be franchise tagged.

Tevin Coleman - Devonta Freeman got  a big contract which could mean Coleman is out.

Jay Ajayi - Has the knee history but was a pro bowler in 2016. Reich has some experience with him.

Le'Veon Bell - Looking for a large contract and Steelers may end up giving him one if nobody bites on a trade. OR Steelers may go the younger route.

Spencer Ware - Injury history and Kareem Hunt has overtaken his running back duties. Averages 4.6 yards per carry in career numbers.

Mark Ingram - Meh, not too excited about him.

Marshawn Lynch - Old and highly doubtful but could be a good signing for a year or two.

    What do you all think?

David Johnson signed a huge deal to stay in Arizona.

Coleman isn't going anywhere. They would get rid of Freeman due to his injuries.

Jay Ajayi is injury prone and so is Spencer Ware.

Marshawn is a beast but he is not the same player he once was. I'll pass on him.

Le'veon bell makes the most sense for us. He's all purpose and he's in his prime. Pair him with Luck and we could do damage. I'd give a 2nd rounder for him in a heartbeat.

Mark Ingram is between the tackle back but not the type we need.

    Just my opinion

  9. I really like what I see in Jordan Wilkins. I think we struck gold with him. He has excellent size and strength to be our lead back. He pounds the rock getting north and he catches well out the backfield. He showed a lot in the preseason. What do you guys think?

  10. We have always been dealt the worst hands ever when up against the Patriots. No sense really in fighting it. What always happens?? We lose. However you look at it. It sucks. And to make matters worse, i got a question for you....Who is Robert Kraft's best friend? I'm sure compensation/picks are not happening.
