Dakich is a Grigson mouth-peice, so I believe this as he likely wouldn't report it without the 'ok' from Grigson.

I tuned out of Dan's show a couple of years ago, Just cant take him, but from what I heard and like you mentioned he is in Grigsons corner.  I guess there is some riff between Stephen Holder and Dan from what has menionted on JMV's show the other day.

Meh... I know its been going on for years, far too many years...

That just adds to the total cliche & kitsch value of the TD dance...

Hoped the art of the TD dance would die off along with ocho cincos career, but alas...

I agree.  The ones that get me are when a player makes a routine tackle or a receiver makes a catch and gets a five yard  gain and the defender stops him and he acts like he just made the tackle of the century.  Its your job to do that. Get over your greatness.  Some of these players live in a different reality.

The NBA is just as bad.

Well as happy as I've been with the wins, I don't think the Colts D will hold the Steelers O under 500 yards. 40 points will most likely be needed to win it. It's going to be ugly, but anything could happen.

    Agree.

  4. Some good points made above.

I am still in the wait and see mode.

The  3 games that Matt was in , we did get some breaks to win.  A win is a win , and I wont apologize for that, but those all could have went different ways real easily. The Colts have played better, enough to keep them in games, so that is a plus. Indy is lucky to have a backup such as him, if it was anyone else...yikes!!!   As long as Matt can stay healthy and get some wins, keep Andrew out till he healthy and ready to play. Don't rush him.

It's nice to see the defense playing well. Very stout even with injuries. Making some plays, and somewhat of a rush in the 2nd half.

I agree with the interceptions those were communication errors.

The playing call is good, but like it was mentioned, you have to execute.

  5. playing CB imo is the hardest position in football and yes I include QB. youre basically on an island, every rule favors the wr more then the cb, cant hit late, cant grab late, cant touch the wr after 5 yards, and its the only position where if you got beat everyone knows you got beat

I agree , and plus he is a rookie.

  6. I think Jim is a good coach but I akin him to the Larry Brown effect.

Always can turn something around and has positive results, but I think after

awhile he can wear on people and he would started to get tuned out by the

players. Someone here mentioned that if he was given total control GM/HC......that's a big no. He seems to have the personality of an egomaniac, that would just fuel the fire.

He may seem to be the "sexy" pick. like others mentioned Gruden and

Josh McDaniels, but I say no to all three. The Colts already have a head coach

and I am fine with Chuck.

  7. Something needs to change, and if someone  goes it needs to be Pep. It would not make a difference if Chuck goes or not.

Who would step in for him(Chuck) if he did? The players love him and this is not like a situation in Miami.

Luck is not getting any better at this point , so a change in schematics might work before the season gets away.

We are almost 8 games in.

Luck also needs a come to Jesus talk ASAP.

  8.  The more realistic options is waiting till the season plays out and see what Irsay does. There is still 2 1/2 months of football to play. We can debate, argue, wish, cuss and anything else we care to do it makes no difference. This is just another bash Grigson and or Pagano thread.

    I agree to a point .

I think the Colts have started looking some what better.I know the teams they have played in the AFC South are subpar, and they barely escaped those with wins. NE game for the most part ,Indy  looked the best I have seen them all year.  I think they need to stick to the process, don't panic ,use Frank Gore and Bradshaw and go with the short mid level routes.  I know Luck has been hurt, but he was not playing well before that.  Are all the beating of his first three years catching up?  Please don't ruin this guy.

These next few games will be telling for sure. Season is almost half over.

  9. They said the same about Caldwell too which is why he got the job in the first place! Dungy raved about how the players loved Caldwell. Irsay agreed and talked about familiarity on going with the decision to hire him as hc. Nice guy; subpar coach who had the luxury of having Peyton. Yeah he won a SB as the Raven oc which led to the Lions job but I saw on a interview with Flacco asking why it clicked with Jim instead of Cam as oc and Flacco said they kept the SAME playbook, ran the SAME plays but Caldwell allowed him to call the plays based on what he saw on the field. Now the Lions are a passive underachieving team that loves its hc....

Yeah .. I think some coaches might be more suitable to be an OC or DC, instead of a head. Nothing wrong with that

  10. No question he has regressed but the play calling hasn't helped him out either.   Luck is still young and its not out of the realm of possibility that 3+ years of getting hit has taken a toll.  Shame on Pep for not adjusting the offense.

True...he has taken a beating. I think the o line and  Grigson all need to hand over their paychecks to him!

  11.   I am just wondering since  that botched play on Sunday and the way the season has been going if the players will start to lose faith in the coaching staff and start to tune them out and just be done.

I Know they like him as a coach(players coach) and I  like the guy too,  but what  happened the other night would baffle me as a player, as "what the heck are we doing" and maybe start to question the intelligence, direction and guidance of this team.

This  season has been a regression so far and does not make sense. That was probably the death knell for this coaching staff the other night.   I know its early , but we are almost at the half way point.

There have been improvements, but a lot of questions still remain.  Andrew really has not looked good all season(even before the injury) long except for that 4th quarter  a few weeks ago and the first half on Sunday were he was really on his game. Strange......
