What a disaster that was.

I don’t think so. Not when it matters. He’s cost us games. Hopefully not this one.
His play calling has its moments. His situational awareness and in game decision making are not good.
If they lose it, it's almost a carbon copy of how they lost the Browns game.

At 17-3, they were only going to win this game if you gave them field position and points.
-
At this point, anything other than a handoff or quick hitter from Minshew makes me nervous. If he has time to dance, he has time to turn it over.

Got lucky again.

The Browns game 2.0.

Attach the leash, Steichen, or lose the game.

It’s hindsight 20/20It's 11 games of evidence, and I predicted the INT a few minutes earlier.

It was a short and safe throw man!!! Minshew has the responsibility on ANY play to throw it away as starting QB. Can’t coach every play not to lose and afraid of mistakesThat's why he needs a leash, especially in certain situations.

That INT wasn't exactly hard to predict.

Steichen's gonna Steichen. Up 17-3, backed up. The only way Tampa wins this game is if you give them field position and points.
Keep gunning it backed up with Mayfield.

10 plays, 9 Minshew drop backs. The turnover is only a matter of time.

1st and goal from the half yard line. Got lucky there.

Best move the FO has made in four years. Now dump/trade Nelson and I am a believer again.
The whole thing with Nelson is weird. He was headed for the Hall of Fame, but has now sort of become a forgotten man. He's rarely even mentioned. People have just been hoping he will return to form, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
Luckily for Nelson, Leonard was so bad it kept the spotlight off of him. That's now over.

Leonard has kept the microscope off of Nelson. I guess people will move on to Quenton.

I'll always remember the Washington game his rookie year - the first time he flashed. He looked like something new and different.
Dude had 7 sacks his rookie year. Polian thought he could be a combination of Derrick Brooks and Mathis.

Colts got a LOT of help with Steelers, Chargers, Raiders all losing
Had the Texans lost, it would have been a great day.

It would be very bad for colts to have Texans beat jags next week.
Nice to see Stroud come back to earth. Unfortunately, they still won the game.

The Colts' roster in recent years has resembled a Whac-A-Mole board, where one glaring deficiency has been able to tank what is otherwise a team with talented trench units
Pretty much.
Every year at Ballard's postseason press conference: "I'm so dumb, I shouldn't have neglected this particular unit, position or area."
It's something different every year.

The league is pretty weak, currently. You don't have to go through the 2000's Patriots, Colts, Steeleers and Chargers to get somewhere. If you get in, who knows what might happen.

If Steichen wants to make the playoffs, he has to say, yes, this how we want to play eventually, but this is how we have to play in 2023. If they want any chance, he has to commit to Taylor, commit to the rum and play like they did in 2021.

Stroud moved just fine. I never understood that conversation at all. Somehow the conversation here and in Colts social media evolved to a point where a rushing QB is the only type of QB you can draft - not mobile, rushing. It was a little bizarre.
The main question for me was, given the fact he seemingly had receivers running with 10 yards of separation on every play, could he do the same thing at the pro level? Well, apparently he can. There's also this weird thing that happens on occasion where a player just looks better as a pro than he did in college. Stroud might be one of those players.
You certainly could have had Stroud. Carolina was open for business, and the price would have been less than they paid the Bears. Had he ended up in Seattle, it might not be as big of a regret. Unfortunately for us, he landed in the division. Honeslty, the guy might end up being the best QB in the league.

It's kind of hard to believe how bad the Patriots suck.
