Wish Scott Frost all the best. Nebraska needs a comeback feel good storyline.

My 2 cents...If we stay at #3 we will take Chubb. Last year our team's goal was to take either a top safety or DE/OLB. Since we already took a safety last year in the draft am under the impression we are switching defense base to a 4/3 and Chubb is now the logical choice.
Sony Michel would be heavily on our radar as the 2nd pick imo

new RT just seen to be projected as a FA is Dolphins Ja'Wuan James (Round 1 Pick 19th in 2014). Seen his 2017 PFF Grade of 80.0 was #17. Does well in both Run/Pass blocking.

Easy solution to Cousins is to sign him in FA ourselves. That way we force QB needy teams to deal directly with us. Obviously as it stands now teams really do not need to worry about us taking a QB with our pick so they can just let the draft play out to their favor.

What we could do with that is place ourselves in the bottom of the south for the next 10 years.
See the Browns and the 49ers...many high round draft picks without a true quality starting quarterback and still struggle in positional standings year to year. Build for the future and learn from own and other's draft mistakes.
Forward thinking to 2020 is a kid named Harrison Bailey a young talented quarterback in the making from Marietta, GA who should be on our future radar for 2023/2024 which should be near the end of Luck's career. Can always build a well rounded talented team on both sides of the football in the draft (fingers crossed) and in FA without that so called generational quarterback at the helm. We lost Peyton Manning to the Broncos and they survived for a few years as a stop-gap. This offseason the Redskins are looking to make do for a few more years with Alex Smith. So may we struggle a year without a top talented or generational quarterback at the helm so be it IMO if we can bring in the true talent we have been lacking for years. Look for that elder statesman of the game to make the playoffs+ with and find ways to wheel and deal in the draft to leverage our team to a position where your can look forward towards the future a few years and narrow down players who will continue to make the Colts a playoff/super bowl contender.

2018 Draft (minus add comp picks)
13) ILB Roquan Smith - sideline range and coverage skills
35) RB Sony Michel - imo Saquan Barkley clone
45) ILB Darius Leonard - best senior bowl weigh-in sideline range and coverage potential
67) Edge/DE Jalyn Holmes - Hybrid defender
77) WR Trey Quinn - size mismatch been overshadowed but kid can catch
99) CB Greg Stroman - PR+ top shutdown corner
131) 4-3 DE Justin Lawler (SMU) - 3 blocked kicks in college
163) CB Kameron Kelly - safety/corner
195) Edge Marquis Haynes - tweener (weak side) capable of sacks (5) and forcing fumbles (2) 10/16

"With a borderline 5,000-yard passer at the helm, Cleveland can then focus on the rest of the roster for the foreseeable future."

The Browns aren't going to sign a 34yr old QB instead of selecting a top prospect at the position.
Why would Cousins sign with Cleveland?
"During an appearance on 92.3 The Fan on Wednesday (Jan. 10), Albert Breer of the MMQB reported Cousins would "seriously consider" the Browns if he hit free agency (h/t Kyle Kelly of Browns Wire).
Cousins, 29, could be an unrestricted free agent in March if he's unable to reach a contract agreement with Washington."

What are your guys take on Edge Ogbonnia Okoronkwo in Round 2?
-
Round 1 give me LB Roquan Smith FTW
-
Potential we switch back to a 4-3 defense...Freeney is available as a FA
-
PASS...We have more pressing needs as a team (Roquan Smith/Bradly Chubb)...can not see the Colts taking Barkley in Round 1 when you can take his clone Sony Michel in Round 2.
-
Honestly do not seeing the Browns drafting a QB in Round 1. Fully expect the Browns to take a QB in FA with either Alex Smith or Cousins. With the first pick the Browns will take Edge Bradly Chubb as BPA.
Since Chubb is now off the board I am projecting the Colts to select LB Roquan Smith. Even if Chubb were still on the board I personally think that Roquan will be our biggest need value player. In Round 2 we can focus on another Edge Ogbonnia Okoronkwo who is projected as a borderline 1-2. Both of these players should immediately make Day 1 impacts. Round 3 would love to see either OT Brian O'Neill or OG Isiah Wynn be available.
The other draft option is to take Edge Chubb in Round 1 than follow up and select RB Sony Michel in Round 2. However this still leaves a major void in our LB core unless we can acquire top talent during FA along with offensive line help.

No guarantees or bonus added just straight yearly baselines.
Again not surprised if undervalued as was eluding too previously

Are the numbers beside them what you think they will go for in free agency?
I used Spotrac.com and looked up recent player salaries a while back and did a quick FA value on them. As in the past highly valued players will command and be over-paid thus values will obviously fluctuate. Given past year's analysis can assume a lot of these players will be paid a much higher yearly salary than what I project. This gives me a good baseline on what I think their projected values should be.

Read an article saying last year Ballard in the first round wanted to draft either a safety or a edge player...we got Hooker as a safety. This year Chubb would complete Ballard’s goal from last year.
Rumor has it Cousins is interested in the Browns so am not totally convinced they need a franchise QB win now mindset if they get Cousins. As for the Browns can see them taking BPA and taking Chubbs #1. Carl Nassib played well but Chubbs immediately upgrades their need for an Edge player. Next legitimately see the Browns offer to trade up with us to select RB Barkley to replace FA Crowell if they feared we were targeting Barkley. The Browns still have plenty of draft picks so they can still wheel and deal if they desired and acquire a QB later...Browns have the leverage this draft

A 222 pound running back who is also viewed as this draft class fastest RB along with Saquan Barkely. Has the hands to catch which we covet but heard he needs to work on his pass blocking skills a little.
Have been hoping he falls to Rounds 3-4 but after his strong bowl game showings would imagine he jumps to Round 2. If so imo would take a top OT like Orlando Brown in Round 1. Then target what I have long viewed as a Saquan Barkley clone in Sony in Round 2.
-
I would be happy to target him in round 3. Seen he had a 87.7% grade and loved what I read and the limited tape have seen on him.
-
3: R1P3OT ORLANDO BROWN - 88.1% grade. Finally coming to a conclusion that an OT HAS to be our first pick based on many simulations ran todate. May not be the ideal OT of choice but for the time being Orlando should continue in his late father’s career path of being our long term RT.OKLAHOMA36: R2P4DL HARRISON PHILLIPS - 90.3% gradeSTANFORD67: R3P3EDGE HERCULES MATA'AFA - 87.7% grade. Viewing as a 3/4 OLB hoping he can adjust with coaching but love his high motor non-stop playing until the whistle blows type.WASHINGTON STATE106: R4P4RB SONY MICHEL - steal this late imo. Always said he reminded me of a Saquan Barkley clone. If he makes it past Round 2 I would be surprised.GEORGIA142: R5P3WR TREY QUINN - 90.9% grade - The kid can catchSMU182: R6P4CB NICK NELSON - 89.4% grade - great at breaking up pass just wish he had the hands for INTs.WISCONSIN222: R7P3TE DALLAS GOEDERT - called a sleeper and a mismatchAs many times I continue to run the simulator it never fails to show me that we need to find ILB, OG, and Safety during free agency. Justin Pugh would be ideal but his “I want to win and I want to win now” remark may take him off the Colts list. One good thing about this draft class is its overloaded with quality RBs allowing other talented players to be displaced.
