  1. im sorry but thats all the media talks about. Its like they skipped the first overall to second pick.

There seems to be some "IGNORE COLTS" campaign going around. I passed so many newstands in New York on my way to the draft and RG3 was on EVERY cover. Anybody else feel the sameway?

I like RG3 but give Luck some love! lol.

didnt take colt fans long to do the whole poor us thing. "our qb doesnt get enough attention"

what is it with you guys? Luck has been plastered all over NFL coverage for 2 years

  2. its just a game people. you can still respect, miss, love manning AND root against him when he plays your team.

and people also need to understand the whole rivalry thing in sports, it's mostly a fan thing. the titans might be your divisial rival but to the players it's just another team. sure, the players acknowledge there is a rivalry there when playing for a team. but it's just a game. and if they need to find a job they will go to that rival. fanboys dont want to hear it but the players dont actually hate other teams because they are rivals.

  3. I cannot help but think it's a travesty when teams end up losing players simply because of cap issues. I am putting out there that surely there can be some sort of tweak to the system that would better enable teams to retain their own, without utterly handcuffing them from a cap perspective.

dont mean to put words in your mouth but assuming you are relating this to the colts current predicament cutting manning and some overall roster turnover this year..... none of these moves are done simply because of cap issues. the colts could have kept manning, keep freeney and reggie. its not just that they cant fit them under the cap. irsay made an orginational decision that it's tiem to rebuild. and here is where the cap is doing what it was meant to do, it stops teams from having their cake and eating it too. you dont get to spend money on the players you are trying to replace and also spend money on their replacements at the same time.

  4. no trouble's an exagerration.... Marshall Faulk..Jake Scott...right?

it wasnt necessarily the salary cap that stopped the colts from signing faulk, they knew they could get a younger back in james so they made the decision that Faulk was not worth xyz while james was worth the money. its a value system. if irsay thought manning's value was equal to the price tag he would have paid him. correct me if i'm wrong but there was not a big cap difference between cutting manning vs keeping him this year? 1 mil i think in savings?

  5. the salary cap is a mirage. if a team really wants a player they find ways to make it work. there are so many loopholes in the cap. every time we see team going after someone we all say.... oh man they are gonna be in cap jail..... then they move money around and restructure a guy here and there and presto. thr cap does its job and prevents teams from going all NY Yankees on the league but in general if a team wants to get or keep a guy the money is not an issue

  6. He no longer wants Peyton because he has Luck. Luck is the reason Peyton became expendable in Irsay's mind.

why does every colt fan gloss over the fact manning had 4 neck surgeries and health is the reason Irsay is moving on? I feel like people are under the assuption that Manning is 100% healthy and ready to throw 45 TD's this year

  7. yes this is 100% on Irsay.

it's Irsay's fault manning had 4+ neck surgeries and was going into what was basically a contract year with $28m hanging in the balance? It's so easy for fans to sit back and say a player should have been kept. Those same fans don't have to deal with the consequences if the decision they made was wrong 8 months later. If it goes bad those same fans probably jump over to the other side and say....... we never shoulda kept Manning. Irsay isn't cutting a QB who is coming off a 40 TD 14-2 season. He's parting ways with a QB that does not have a very certain future healthwise.

  8. My guess is the reports of bone spurs may be incorrect on a timeline basis, and they were caused by the bulging disc and addressed during the fusion surgery. Peyton has made it crystal clear that he intends to play again and that he has been progressing as scheduled, so what happened in December may be completely irrelevant.

i understand this must difficult for you. but you have to be realistic here

  9. Bill Polian confirmed tonight on PTI...on Dec.30, Peyton was throwing well to the right, to the left, across his body with a tight spiral, good accuracy and velocity. He said that Peyton was not yet throwing 50 yarders, maybe not 45, but everything he threw was showing marked improvement since September.

according to polian marvin harrison is just about ready to come back from his knee injury and bob sanders is good to go

  10. the part that bothers me about it is brady puts in a lot of effort to not separate himself from the team or put himself above the other players. her comments are basically knocking his teamates and saying it's not his fault. its the result of his wife not really understanding that aspect and just reacting in the moment but it reflects poorly on tom. she needs to know when to just walk away from a taunting opposing fan

  11. A little clarification on this: 1. This was a By Invite only Party thrown by Robert Kraft 2. Gronk was there with his Brothers who probably did all the could get him drunk 3. As a Pats fan I am not upset over this, as BB said best get away and forget about it for now and get back to work in a few weeks. I personally tired of the media making stories out of nothing, this with the Giselle yelling something off the cuff at Giant fans razzing her IMMEDIATLY after the game. (I bet insulting her husband) Wow like none of us done that to fans being jerks to us after they win lol.
to add a little more perspective..... the party involved the players getting up on stage with Kraft offering toasts to him and the family celebrating a great season and vowing to get back to this game again. matt light got up there and told the fans not to get down, they will be back. adding my own opinion but i'm sure they entered the party very down, once the toasts got going and people picked each other up it got festive. as it should. its easy for people to look at a still shot on TMZ and say the players are partying after a loss?????
  12. Yea but within a few hours of letting down your fans? How many Pats fans were partying late into the night? It's no big deal to me, however. I can see why they wanted to blow off steam, but to do so publicly seemed a bit of an affront to the fans whom were heartsick.

I took that as just good sportsmanship. I see how the fans might be bothered though.

they didnt let their fans down. had a great year, didnt finish it. season was over party all you want. if this was footage from the night before the game i'd be upset. they are humans, they are allowed to relax once in a while. i'm pretty sure the players on that team were all upset about the loss. it doesnt mean they all have to go back to their rooms and sulk for 48 hours.
