Crabtree initiated the contact and tried to push/swim off after 5 yards as well.I wouldn't call that an iffy call. It seemed like a pretty clear example of holding. However, I think it's more important for the refs to be consistent than it is for them to follow the rule to the letter and they were letting those plays go all night.

It's a little unfortunate and Harbaugh is technically right... but there are routinely much worse calls and non-calls made in the NFL. This one was at least understandable.
"No. ... If you look at the play closely, you see him kind of push off of my helmet immediately," he said. "So as a DB, what do you do? ... If he's pushing off you gotta make sure you got some type of grip so he doesn't push off of you." - Jimmy Smith
I share this opinion with Jimmy Smith and that's what I thought before I had even read it.

When's the first day of FA??
That's my bet

I was the biggest fan of Hughes coming out. I watched a lot of tape on him before we had even drafted him because he looked like such a good prospect. High motor, played low... He looked like the next Robert Mathis... Unfortunately he never panned out, the stats he's gathered are mostly just from situations, not because he disrupted the play. I barely saw any pressure/disruption that Hughes made himself.

There were several million reasons we weren't giving him to stay. Also, on top of the monetary issues, we didn't want him to stay as a player, so I don't know what you're talking about.Oh, I agree Dustin. But don't expect the red carpet treatment if you left of your own accord.

I'm glad management sees receiver as a big need and I agree. Hilton has a lot of potential, as do Fleener and Allen, but none of them are sure=-bets yet. Reggie has been great but I don't expect more than 2, maybe 3 more solid seasons out of him.

Where did you hear this scenario?I don't need the "this wouldn't happen" comments, I'm personally against this.
Would you accept this trade?
The Dallas Cowboys Trade- OLB DeMarcus Ware, FB Lawrence Vickers
The Indianapolis Colts Trade- 2013 1st round pick (24th overall), 2014 2nd round pick that becomes 1st with 10 sacks (basically guaranteed 1st), 2013 7th round pick, and LB Pat Angerer.
I personally think we can't afford to give up a first in the amazing draft class of 2014, and this leaves us with almost no picks this year.

No worries, JJ Watt is like the nemesis of my fandom so I don't want to see anything positive about him in the Colts section ;)Yeah I know. I messed up when I posted it.

This needs to goto NFL General

I'd bring him back, as a pass rusher he's still great. Teams still doubled him all season, and he still got lots of pressure on the QB. We do need something else for the run game, but if we could rotate Dwight in for long downs I would be extremely happy. But not for ~20million.

Oh, my apologies, misinterpretted the discussion. Having Lombardi trophies is used so colloquially for winning the superbowl I misunderstood.not sure what you mean... I am not trying to say that the Colts didn't win any of them... only that we only physically have 1 trophy... 1 of ours is in Baltimore, the other championships used a traveling trophy, unlike the Lombardi, which is made new every year and given to the winners to keep... It is possible that I missed 1 or added an extra, but I am not saying that the Colts didn't win them, just that the OP said that his fight was about "how many trophies we have" and we only have 1...
-
By that logic the Raiders didn't win superbowl 18. Do the Titans no longer get to claim the successes of the Houston Oilers and everything Moon did for them? There was a lot of uproar recently about Old Navy branding an Oiler AFL win as a Texans win.pretty sure they have 5... but technically only one Lombardi trophy because the city of Baltimore won a lawsuit that brought the Lombardi from SB 5 back to them... We have 2 (maybe 3) Ed Thorpe trophies (but technically there is only 1 thorpe trophy and I think it is housed in Canton) sooo. depending on the semantics of the argument.... the colts physically house 1 trophy: the Lombardi that Peyton brought home... they have won 5 championships... 2 Superbowls...
This whole discussion is silly, the Colts won 2 superbowls.

1) Manning looked better than ever this year and Brady looked like his age was catching up with him by the end of the season. If anything I think you would clump Brady/Manning in the past and the present would've been A-Rod if the Pack made it.
2) Kaepernick is probably the least impressive of the 3 'New Age,' Qbs. The others obviously being Wilson/RG3.

I know who I'll be keeping an extra close eye on tonight ;)

I would love to see a team in Toronto. The only sad thing is they use the Bills games at Toronto to test the market if an NFL team is feasible there. It's kind of a joke because the Bills don''t feel like they''re at home in Toronto, and Toronto fans don't see the Bills as their home team. On top of that it's usually in December when the Bills are playing for a draft spot anyways,

This was the best Pro Bowl since Sean Taylor popped Brian Moorman

I don't know what people are talking about... Looked like two colts down on that field to me.

Irsay's been doing this for years now. These are contests he has on twitter all the time, sometimes not even pertaining to football.
Anyone that construes this as gambling is obviously hurting for page views... Looking at you Rant Sports.

But Clark was basically Dwayne Allen. You could get anyone to do what the Utecht did.
That was the Peyton Manning offense, he ran single-back, single TE all the time. We don't run a Peyton Manning offense anymore.
-
I wouldn't ship draft picks for him, and player for player deals are very rare. Odds of this happening are slim but he would provide elite play for at least 3 seasons barring injury.
Either way, I believe another team would give up a 1 for him, and I hope we have nothing to do with it.

I feel like I could have strapped on cleats and not screwed up that last Ravens TD.
-
I can definitely see Kruger getting swayed. He knows Pagano and he could probably be a starter here, but he's stucking switching it up behind Suggs with Upshaw.
-
It was the best ST unit I've seen in a while, but still really bad at coverage. I think we were all just impressed by our return game and ignored our ability to cover returns.

And I was happy putting up 1.5 sacks per game in C division football while maintaining a 70% avg LOL
How to use Jerry Hughes
