no but our return game isn't a problem either and he is probably our best option at the moment.
has he hurt the team with those opportunities? Whalen is a very safe player.
He's safe I agree but it would be nice to have a playmaker returning kicks.

Injuries and age..
Yes but he's only 26.

Pretty much came to the wrong team. We're loaded.
That's true and also a good problem to have.

That New York Game Will
I was hyped when we got Nicks this season. He was one of the best wide outs a couple of years ago. What happened to him?
-
He's 5th in return yards. The Colts have started around the 30 yard line many, many times this year.
That's stats are a mirage basically. That's our defense giving him all of those oppurtunities.
-
If this doesn't get Nicks going I'm not sure what will.
-
He is very average returning kicks and also can be replaced. We do have the number one offense in the league, but it would be nice to give the offense some good field position off a return once in a while.
-
We have so many weapons on offense that it's scary. As long as we keep scoring it shouldn't matter who it is.

34-17 colts count it

He's a loner in the locker room as well. Doesn't really associate with teammates. Heard both Phil Wilson and Mike Chappell mention that in the last week. He's never came across as much of a team guy to me. I wont be surprised at all if he isn't starting when he comes back.
This is true he seems to have a Percy Harvin vibe to him. The defense has been on fire since he's been out. Like I said in another thread when he comes back he's gonna mess up the chemistry. All it takes is one player to mess things up. Keep him on the bench.

I'm not sure why you think this?
Pagano has been consistent from Day One. The two most important things to do are to A) run the ball on offense, and B) stop the run on defense.
What are the Colts doing this year? We're running the ball really well, and we're stopping the run.
Running the ball makes your passing game that much more effective.
Stopping the run makes opposing defenses one dimensional and easier to defend.
Nothing has changed. We're just doing everything better.... and it's because of A & B....
I didn't say anything about the defense whatsoever I was just talking about Pep and Chuck. I'm all for running the ball because that's been our weakness for years, and I'm a huge Bradshaw fan. It just seemed like last year and the first two games they was trying to make Luck a game manager. That's all I was trying to say.

Just as a point of clarification, Chuck Pagano was the DB coach for the Miami Hurricanes when the Ravens had Jamal Lewis and Trent Dilfer. He went to the Browns, Raiders, and then back to college as the defensive coordinator for the Tar Heels before joining the Ravens in 2008 as their secondary coach. By then, Lewis and Dilfer were long gone, and Brian Billick had been fired the year before. Point being, Pagano has no ties to that era of the Baltimore Ravens, and it's unlikely that he would be trying to emulate their specific formula from over a decade ago.
I know he wasn't with the Ravens when all of that stuff took place I was just making stating an opinion.

Walden shouldn't had been thrown out period.

Let me guess the Cowboys are number 1? ESPN has been waiting for this moment for the past 20 years almost.

Pep is thr only person ive called out. If theres crow to be eatin for me I wont eat it until next season. Still dont have alot of faith in his play calling
I think Pagano's philosophy of trying to turn our offense into the Baltimore Ravens when they had Jamal Lewis has something to do with it. Thankfully the coaching staff is recognizing that it's not gonna work. Luck is not Trent Dilfer.

Love Castonzo. I remember arguing with another Colt fan who wanted Carimi over him in the draft. Glad to see that Castonzo is even being considered for the Pro Bowl by Colt fans.
Yup he's been doing his this season.

The guy is a monster. I'm glad he's back and healthy.

With the way our defense has been playing as of late, I don't see us losing another game. We just gotta stop turning the ball over and letting teams back into games. That Dallas game shouldn't be a problem. Besides beating Seattle, who we beat last year btw have not played anybody.

Vontae Davis got the nfl play of the week on ESPN Sportsnation

He's gonna mess up the chemistry on defense when he comes back, I can see it coming.

Luck
Hilton
Davis
Adams

Our whole defense IMO. They're allowing 15ppg the past 5 games. If they can keep that up Superbowl.

He is if not at least top 5.
I just don't predict any surprises

I'm not at all concerned about SD. We had that game in a bag last year, but we made some mistakes and pretty much laet them beat us. The AFC is ours for the taking and the only team in our way are the Broncos. Our defense wasn't playing the way they are now in that week 1 loss. If we can get some pressure on Manning, especially in the playoffs that game is ours.
