You're just making excuses for TR. The fault isn't all his but it largely is. You keep using the line excuse so I'll say it again, it's a bad line, but every running back we stick back there does better than TR. It's really as easy as that.
I'd expect if our o line improved that the backs who currently run better behind our poor line would also run better behind an improved line. Doesn't that make sense?
One could argue that when a defense sees t-rich in the game. Theyre more expecting the run. Making it a bigger point to stop him. But when we put a no name back boom herron in or tipton or grandfather bradshaw teams seem to sit back.. boom hasnt had a great game since what people call his break out game in week 13 against the redskins. All in theory of course.. but fact of the matter is.. trying to repeatedly run any of our backs up the middle isnt helping anyone.. very rarely do we run to the outside

Both teams are nearly identical.. one has a running game .. one doesnt(colts).. luck will be asked to throw 40+ times and the turnovers will be inevitable.. despite the turnovers luck will have a chance to put together a game winning drive.. in which we may or may not get.. fingers crossed

Definitely could be worse.. eric dickerson.. 3 first rounds and 3 second rounds and two players.. the trent trade is definitely not the colts worst trade.

yeah I know...not long ago he referred to Newsome as a 300 lb defensive lineman. I just like to make sure other people reading the threads don't believe any of his crap.
Newsome is nothing but a defensive lineman.. as you just said he doesnt drop in coverage.. he only comes in on passing downs.. and always has his hand in the dirt.. hes a defensive lineman... newsome is 260+ and that was nfl combine weight.. i dont make stuff up.. you people are in denial about werner and thats ok.. im still in denial about trich.. so its understandable

Already thinking Bjoern is a bust the man is only in his second season before we start judging give him at least a 3rd year then everyone can start grading him on his performance also Bjoern was not a OLB when he came to the colts if correct he played in a 4/3, How long did it take Mathis to become a elite pass rusher it was not overnight and by the way he had freeney on the other side. I like Mathis all I am saying is we do not know what condation he will be in when he starts training camp, I hope he gets back to his old self but who knows and as for Newsome I think another training camp will be beneficial for him in his development and a good pick for the 5th round
Newsome was a 4-3 defensive end.. he made the switch as well.. fact of the matter is newsome has out played werner in 1/4 the time

I apologize.. johnathan newsome was a 5th rounder, was projected to go undrafted.. but yeah he out played werner in one game.. newsome lead the team in sacks this year.. and for barely seeing the field is impressive. I hope we continue to give newsome more snaps in the playoffs. He's the only one doing his job consistently

We do.. what other WR on our team has put up respectable numbers this year besides t.y.. no one.. besides coby fleener.. and hes a TE.. no one is afraid of this offense

I never knew a tricep injury could keep someone from getting open/seperation. If he comes back next year, maybe we can get him a power scooter that is at no cost to him.

Yea, I mean that Dwayne Allen guy, he wouldn't make most teams, and neither would that Moncrief guy, what a bust, and let's not forget Bjoern Warner and Jack Mewhort just to name a couple, they should all be on the practice squad!
Bjoern werner is a second string player on most teams.. and that moncreif guy isnt anything to right home about.. nonexistent most games.. would be a 2nd 3rd string on most teams.. dwayne allen is a blocking TE that cant stay healthy for any stretch of time. And well jack mewhort besides playing on the nfls worst line is pretty solid.. i gotta give you that

Im all for roughing up a player and keeping him on his toes.. but i swear i have never seen someone get called for roughing the passer on andrew. Hes literally on his back almost every play.. if it were any other qb gettin nailed every play they would be getting flags. Why is it officials allow luck to be punished like that?.. maybe im a biased homer.. does anyone else notice the same?

Grigsons gotta go.. pagano i can live with as long as he gets a new DC.. grigson is largely overrated.. 7 out his 20 draft picks are out of the league already.. and the others beside luck, hilton, and fleener wouldnt make most teams.. instead of finding proven players he picks people no ones heard of and trys to make them out to be diamonds in the rough.

What I can't stand is why doesn't our coaching staff (in their infinite wisdom) have Vontae follow the #1 receiver around?? Our coaching staff constantly (and incorrectly) think everyone is interchangeable. THEY AREN'T.
More examples: Our coaches think we have Interchangeable safeties, or that dropping DQ into coverage is a good idea, or dropping Werner, or even worse, Newsome into coverage. They also keep riding Trent in the run game, instead of throwing it to him in space. They also don't put the best combo of O-Linemen out there every Sunday either. None of this is rocket science, it's actually very disheartening.
This staff doesn't play to our player's strengths and it drives me bananas.

Everyone on here knows I think Toler is garbage. I don't need to reiterate that.
I'm actually most surprised he hasn't gotten hurt already this season.
He gets burnt constantly, and gets penalties all the time, but I will say he came up with a few good tackles on Sunday.
I'm trying to remain positive here.
Yeah.. but in tolers defense hes normally going against a number 1 receiver because vontae plays the left side.. most number one receivers line up on the right.. not all the time but most of the time.

Someone needs to be let go.. a loss like that in a afc championship game.. being completely embarrassed as an organization.. how do you not make a change?
Edit: if you don't make a change, your basically saying your ok with what happen and what you have.
