  1. The trade IMO boils down to Cleveland wanting a top level punter at around 6 mill over the next two years. Dallas probably decided to second guess the contract they gave him a couple years ago and just dump. 7th rounder is pretty much just giving him away and getting rid of the salary.

    Dallas?

  2. Unless Luck has changed his agent -- and I haven't read of that happening -- his agent is his uncle.   Who I don't think was an agent before Luck turned pro and I doubt has any other client.

My point is I don't think the agent is going to go for every last dollar, especially because of his bonus, or his cut of the deal.

I don't see Luck looking to get every last dollar possible.   I think he WILL get the biggest deal in the NFL,  but I still think he'll leave money on the table.    And I think that will come from Andrew and the uncle/agent will simply follow his wishes.

That's not a fans point of view.   That's the view of someone who has followed Luck since his senior year of high school.

And thats why I was making the joke about Andrew's mom telling his Uncle to not take all the money

  3. Probably somewhere around 25 million a year (in new money), when it's all said and done. Something like 5 year, 125 million or 6 year 150 million. It won't be any longer or any shorter then 5-6 (new) years.

Luck's deal will make him the highest paid player in the league, and in the history of the league. I don't see how his agent would allow him to accept anything less.

Who knows. If Luck doesn't believe in needing to sign for all that money he wont. His agent will listen or have to talk to his sister.(Luck's mom)
  4. There is a real argument that Vontae should be the highest rated CB in the league.... how many games has it been since he has allowed a TD throw against him now? I know it has been 1014 game snaps since he has.... That is incredible.

Also, when thrown at he allowed a passer rating of 36.7..... I mean come on.... How is he not already the first name to be called to the all pro team?

TY scored on him in the Pro Bowl
  5. Wow bro. I mean I'm only 25 but that made me feel old. LOL. I remember being a little kid and everyone watching the Super Bowl at our house every year. Up until I was about 6-7 years old it seemed like Dallas was in the Super Bowl every single year. I think they won at least 3 in the 90s. I don't know which years off the top of my head, but it just always seemed like they were there every year. That was back before I was old enough to understand football, but I still remember a lot from then.

you must be very young.  i remember watching dallas beat buffalo back to back in the super bowl.

I am. The first Super Bowl I was alive for was XXXIII Denver beating Green Bay.

  6. you must be very young. The Seahawks hadn't won the superbowl during your life or anyone elses until two years ago. So your argument doesn't have any merit

I am in relative sense. But i was making a joke about the Cowboys. I like to make joke at their expense because of all the Cowboy fans I know

  7. 1. We beat the Patriots

    2. Make the Super Bowl

    3. Win the Super Bowl

    4. Fleener a top 4 TE

    5. Hilton gets 1300 yards

    6. Newsome gets 9 sacks

    7. Vontae gets 7 INTs

    8. Dorsett and Moncrief get 600 yards each

    9. Our defense is top 10

    10. Offense is top 3

I just can't see him getting 7 INTs. That would mean he would have to be thrown at  7 times

  8. Report: “Everything” on the table regarding Tom Brady punishment

At the moment, the idea that the NFL is targeting poor Tom Brady in the DeflateGate investigation seems concentrated to a group of Patriots fans and/or Tom’s dad.

But it’s clear that the league is taking this one seriously.

As Florio pointed out this morning, a suspension of the Patriots quarterback seems unavoidable, as unlikely as that might seem on its face.

At the very least, it is being considered at the league level.

According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, a league source familiar with the disciplinary process said we shouldn’t dismiss the possibility that Brady might go away for a period of time.

Everything is being studied, everything is being considered,” the source said (emphasis Armando’s, not mine).

The league has gone hard on the crime-and-punishment from since being embarrassed by the Ray Rice debacle, as players such as Greg Hardy can attest.

But to suspend the starting quarterback of the defending Super Bowl champions (who kick off the season on national television) would be a huge move.

Of course, conspiring to break the rules of the game, and not cooperating with an investigation would be considered a huge lapse as well.

I really hope that they do. They need to be shown what does happen to cheat
