I have been hearing names like Kendricks, McKinney, and Perryman over and over again. If we were to take a different position during the 1st round, who are other ILB that we should take instead... say in rounds 3-5?How about Stephone Anthony, Clemson?

I think DLine should be a top priority as it is the anchor for the rest of the defense. If we dont have good blocking up front then of course our linebackers cant get through to make the tackles. I dont understand why everyone wants us to take ILB over a solid DLineman when this is a poor ILB class.

If we upgrade our O-Line our already existing RB will get better. Everyone on here seems to know this already. At the end of the season we had some success running the ball with Zurlon Tipton even with a wish-wash O-Line. I think if our line gets better he could potentially be a workhorse back. He has the size and moves to get it done.

Jordan Phillips is likely to fall to our pick and I would rather have him then Eddie Goldmann from FSU because of the unsuccessful pick we had in Werner. I still think Werner is progressing, but we need impact players straight out of the draft.

If we still have multiple players that are high on our draft board still available when we pick at 29, I hope that we trade our 1st round pick for more picks in the draft seeing as Grigson is good at finding talent later in the draft. Maybe a 2nd and 7th rounder

If we take ILB, NT.. When (if?) do we take a Safety or G/T?
-
What do we think of Danny Shelton at NT?

I would say that the Defensive Line has done somewhat of a decent job vs many of the top running teams this year. However, we need some more talented depth at either DE/DT. ILB is also a place where we need some more speed and athletecism. Also someone who isnt affraid to tackle bigger running backs like Blount.

If anyone remembers last season when we lost Reggie Wayne Whalen stepped up into the slot receiver role and was the consistent player we were missing, sure he isnt the fastest receiver on the roster but he gets the job done every time.

I think this will be fun to watch how both Howell and McDonald compete for this position. Hope to here more about what the backfield might look like come August!

I hope that Montori Hughes can grow into a starting DT, we need some more up front presence in Run Defense!
-
I could see us taking an additional DT instead of two DE though...

Whatever happened to Griff Whalen, he really stepped out as being a reliable receiver late in the season, he seemed to be our clutch 3rd downman

Since we were already in need of depth at DLine this should surely shore up the idea of taking a Dlineman early in the draft. Who are your guys picks? or do we end up finding Dline help in FA?
