So is it Luck holds onto the ball too long? Or is it the WR not getting separation, or is it the OC not designing quick throw plays?
All of the above??

I said it after the Pitt loss, and it applies now ... The Colts are soft.

I dislike the entire SEC, as well as Michigan and Miami. Fans of The U are still whining about the 2002 BCS Championship Game.

I originally said that the only way the colts were going to win last nights game was by a running game. Did gore have any positive yardage for the night?
And for the 15th straight year we can't get 1 damn yard within 4 tries. 8 tries, and 0 points to show for it. Andrew Luck being out just showed us what kind of team we have. Closer to the Peyton manning days than not. Horrid oline, horrid defense and horrid running game. You'd think the colts were included in the draft process every year.
The Colts are soft. Period.

No it wasn't, I was just messing, and I don't think any of the regular posters on here have a hot line to Pagano etc., so as the OP proved he/she can use the internet, it was a light hearted jab at them for not doing their own homework. I would be a good friend by the way.
We need more of this in the world.

Good grief. Moral victories??!! Some of you sound like IU football fans.

Philly fan got joy out of booing Santa Claus and pelting him with snowballs. They are damn lucky it wasn't a Billy Bob Thornton type of Santa otherwise that would've got interesting.
Me and a buddy went to see the Colts play at Philly in 2010 (the game in which Collie was knocked out). We had a lot of middle fingers directed at us, and we were called every euphemism for homosexual of which you could think. To be fair, we went there to see if the Philly fan legend lived up to the hype. They did not disappoint.
Conversely, we had some fans in Baltimore ask us to sit down because they couldn't see.

Been going to games since early 2000s. I was the kid who stands most the game lol. Colts fans aren't diehard like some stadiums. They honestly believe clapping is what your supposed to do while your team is on D. Personally it annoys me about people selling important game tickets due to the fact they can make a profit. They do this anytime it arises. Now some of you are trying to rationalize it, but either way colts fans we can do better with yelling at the stadium. People in Seattle and KC yell their faces off all game.... people in indy *golf clap* SMH!
I attended my first NFL game in 1993 as an adult. I've attended NFL games in at least 10 different cities and haven't noticed a marked difference in fan behavior.
Well, OK, Philly is unique, but I don't think we should be striving for that.

The Colts are soft. I blame coaching for that.

Wow, Colts fans are an embarrassment. Do not tell me they are big league at all. Once again, Pittsburgh fans take over the stadium. First it was Tenn. in 1999, then in 2005 playoffs I felt like I was in Heinz Field. Didn't think it could be worse until tonight. I'm glad Marvin, Tony and the players from 2006 complimented the fans....they were being polite. Hope those that sold their tickets did well. Disgrace.
Ever been to a Colts away game?
-
It's not so much Colts fans selling tickets as it is ticket brokers selling season tickets they own.
-
Just once they'll have to throw it to Luck to keep the D honest.
-
Being a jackhole is Dakich's shtick. It gets him ratings.
That said, Luck throws too many INTs like that .

Yeah I would definitely put that in my Top 10 Indianapolis Colts games of all-time. I generally put Playoff games above Regular Season games but that GB game set the tone for Luck's rookie season. That help propel us to end up going 11-5. Wayne had the game of his life and it was for Chuck! Because of game importance I would probably go:
#1 = The 2006 AFC Title Game - which is the main topic of this Thread. That win over the Patriots led by Peyton is legacy material!
#1b = Beating the Bears in the SB, 1 and 1b just go together IMO.
#3 = Winning at Baltimore in the 2006 Divisional Round has to be 3rd because it allowed us to go on and eventually win the SB. Baltimore was 13-3 that season led by Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and were favored to beat us.
#4 = Beating the Jets here in the 2009 AFC Title Game. The win put us in the SB and gave us the AFC Title.
#5 = Winning at KC in the 1995 Divisional Round. That was Indy's first huge Playoff win in franchise history (regarding Indianapolis Colts seasons)! The Harbaugh magic!
#6 = Winning at Denver in the 2014 Divisional Round, Andrew Luck's most important Playoff win to date.
#7 = Beating KC in the 2013 Playoffs here. Mainly because we were down 28 points and a win looked improbable.
#8 = Beating the Patriots here in 2009 - the 4th and 2 game. We were down 34-14 in the 4th Qtr and pulled off a miracle comeback to win it 35-34. The win pretty much sealed up HFA putting us at 9-0.
#9 = The GB here in 2012. This is where I would put that game.
#10 = The Monday Night game at Tampa Bay in 2003 when we were down 35-14 in the 4th Qtr and we came back and won it in OT 38-35.
Man, beating the #1 seed Chiefs at Arrowhead in the '95 playoffs doesn't get enough respect.

Why do folks think Peyton would make a good coach or GM?

The D is mostly a toxic mixture of inexperience and past-their-prime, overpaid vets.

we won. I can always expect the negative from some around here.
its getting old btw.
The win today wasn't an indictment of Allen's re-signing?

My understanding is that in Canada a non-contract employee can be fired without cause, but the employee must be provided notice or severance.
Canada does have a more reasonable unemployment insurance system in which the cost is shared between employees and employers.

And we don't know how involved they are in decision making. But I think they might be more involved then we're aware of.
One of them (I cannot remember which one) reportedly now attends all owner meetings.
I suspect that the daughters are currently in OJT mode. Financially, I'm sure Irsay has a plan to transition ownership to his daughters in a way that minimizes any tax obligation for them.

Things change. In 2008, he couldn't have known Andrew Luck would fall into his lab in 2012. That is a pretty exciting thing to occur for a team, and is something that could make him reconsider his idea of giving the team to his daughter after Peyton retires.
His three daughters are listed as owners in the staff directory.

I would tend to agree with this, I'd probably be a little more diplomatic about the phrasing though LOL. Whenever I watch a team like Bills or the Browns, regardless of how good they are, I always think "Wow, that's a FIRED UP crowd." Same with teams like the Jets, Bengals, Packers, Pats, Seahawks, etc. There's no one sitting down, everyone's up and they're LOUD. Indy fans, not so much. Actually, the last time I went to a Colts home game I had fans asking me to sit down. That's about as lame as it gets.
This dude always brings it though, so I give props to him.
I was asked to sit down once by fans in Baltimore. I've been to at least 10 other NFL stadiums. They all have a ton of fans sitting down and not yelling. Standing and yelling has almost nothing to do with the strength of the fan base.

Read the entire story and Irsay's entire statement. Irsay comes across as being of very sound mind and more open to change.
