  1. When the ABC network bought out the family channel way back in the day to become the ABC family channel there was one clause his 700 club could never be taken off the air or removed. that means no matter how outlandish his comments get and they get more out there everyyear I mean he could sit there with ho's on his lap with a crack pipe singing burn, baby, burn ABC can just put a disclaimer at the beginning of the program no matter how many people complain it doesn't matter he is untouchable. basically what Peyton could have had in Tennessee (life contract) lol.

  2. Since it's March everything is hypothetical, A year ago did anyone think the Colts would be on the bottom in 2011 and the Bengals & Texans would be playing the opening of the wildcard round? Things can change in a hurry A injury to Tom Brady next time I'm positive 11-5 won't happen not with the defense the Patriots have I'm not sure they are going to be that great next year even with Brady. I look around at some of the teams that should be better next year most are in the NFC (Bears,Panthers,Rams,Eagles,) you have to put the Broncos, Steelers,Ravens, Texans as the complete AFC teams, there are a lot of teams that seem to be mediocre that could go up or down Jets,Raiders,Chargers,Chiefs,Titans,Bengals...so many games can come down to a field goal and that is an area where we have a legend. We had a lot of bad luck last year maybe things will change. on a negative note losing a veteran center like Saturday will not help this offense at all.

  3. It's a long long way off but, let's not write off 2012 just yet,Dalton, Sanchez, Flacco, Ryan all rookie QB's between 2008-2011 got their team to the wildcard round or farther so it really is possible. the 4th place schedule will be the Colts first since they joined the AFC south in 2002. just imagine A Colts vs. Broncos wildcard game would be quite a story.

  4. I would like to say thanks to Gary Brackett, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai & 4 time MVP Peyton Manning for conquering the football world (u.s. rules lol) Superbowl 41 and getting there in Superbowl 44 along with Melvin Bullitt. It dawns on you once these guys are not part of the team that hey the championships is something they can't take away. All 5 guys had injury problems in 2011 that mainly led to release, like Bob Sanders in 2011. Football is surreal in a way, I never met any of these guys, I've never lived in Indiana and I don't play fantasy football but, I'm attached to the horseshoe helmet and when someone makes a big catch in the endzone, a big run from scrimmage, a timely interception,or a big TD pass in the superbowl you know that guy did it for your team!, so it is odd the connection people can have to teams and players. the more success a player has for the team the harder it is to let go (peyton). I'm still going to root for the Colts every week and if/when Manning plays against Colts well then he's the enemy for that one particular game.

  5. lmao you keep on believing that mate, i dont dislike Luck.. its called common sense and being objective

Everyone thought the texans were gonna take reggie bush and he was a sure bet yet they went and take mario williams... point is as hard as its possibly hard for you to swallow Luck is not the very first great college looking player.... he's just the only overly gassed and hyped one to ever come out of college.

I dont make stuff up, the writer said the quote while writing about Griffin, i did not say A team i said TEAMS

I remember that, the Texans took Mario Williams over Reggie Bush & local hero Vince Young. Sone of the experts went ballistic because Bush was a once in a lifetime player. Casserly then took a job with CBS. 6 years later Williams is still with the Texans.

  6. When people say "The house that Manning built", they are really referring to the success that he helped bring to the Colts, which in turn kept them here in Indy and allowed for the securing of the funds necessary to build the LOS. If we had not selected Manning and had continued to stink in the late '90s, we might not have an NFL team.

As bad as the Colts were for most of the 90's look at how pathetic the Bengals and Cardinals were in the 90's and early 00's, neither ended up in L.A. The Colts were decent between 94-96 but, I really don't think it matters L.A. was just a smoke screen. the only team that really was serious about moving there was the Seahawks in 95/96 (ken behring). Give Manning a statue in front LFO (very cool)he is Mr. Colt! but, I really don't think Manning was the reason that they stayed, he was the reason they gained national following and aired on CBS at 3:15 more plus primetime games . Did Bengal can't miss picks Ki-Jana Carter, Akili Smith, David Klingler,Big Daddy Dan Wilkinson,Peter Warwick, etc keep the team in Cincy? eventually L.A. will end up with a team but it wasn't going to happen during the 00's and it's not going to happen in 2012 either. I do remember a rumor before 2000,the Colts were going to Chicago, if the Bears went to northern Indiana still in the Chicagoland area(Gary) but that never materialized.

  7. I think Manning deserves every kudo, prop, praise, whoop, cheer, etc you could think of except when they go on about how he's the reason the Colts got a new stadium and the superbowl is in Indy um really? In 2006 Arizona got a new stadium after 20 years of basically nothing except one playoff win. And Cincinnati also got a new stadium the PBS what player led to that since the franchise hasn't won a post-season game in over 20 years. I think the main reason all these stadiums were built has to do with Georgia Frontiere & Al Davis moving teams out of LA and the NFL putting pressure on medium sized towns city councils to build new stadiums or else. just my take.

  8. a.If they keep Manning and trade luck and then Manning gets injured people will say "I told you so for 15 years"

b.If they keep Luck and trade Manning and Manning has previous level of success people will say "I told you so 3-4 years"

c.If they keep both, Luck will probably hold out most of camp. people will hold their breath every time Manning falls down.

I'll take option C but, this is so complicated . Jim Irsay is juggling porcupines on a high wire with a pool of sharks below him, of course he owns the Colts, advantage:Irsay

  9. I forgot about the blue alternate. I don't recall seeing the alt. in 2011. If we wore a blue helmet it should only be one game a year and probably against Tennessee since their is a whole lot of white going on when those two clash. but to tweak the Horseshoe or white helmet never! there is too much tradition from Unitas to Manning it's just too iconic. go on a Yankee message board and say pinstripes look out of date or go to the Crimson Tide board and tell them they need to replace the numbers with an Elephant logo.

  10. Well I'm still a fan. I was and still am a fan of the Pacers, which obviously becoming an easier thing to do with there success this season, but known the less. I'm a Colts fan, I'm a Pacers fan. If you don't like that its not as important to watch the team I care for get there * kicked week in and week out, then so be it.

This thread was not a thread to talk my personal affiliation, but to talk about fan morale and the possibility of jumping back to a complete basketball state. You guys are too conserned about accusing someone something then discusing things that may matter. To each his own I guess.

Let me rephrase it, I understand not following an NBA team when they're down, I mean that is one sport which is a lot of fun when you're team has a shot and just pointless if you're team is middle or on the bottom. I'm a Thunder fan and things are going good, I also like the Pacers, and want them to win the east, I don't think they can get past the Heat or Bulls in a 7 game series but, they are finally competitve with Granger and co. I just think people should remember the NFL is a not for long league next year is going to be a little rough but seriously you can get good in a hurry and if you follow the rough patches it can be so much sweeter when you're team turns it around like 1995,1999,2002.

  11. Before Peyton, I didn't miss a Pacer game. Reggie Miller was the main man and I had received so much enjoyment watching the Pacers when he was on board. After Reggie retired, the Pacers started loosing. (Not saying it was connected, but it didn't hurt lol) I lost interest, fell behind on roster moves so on so fourth.

During the time frame of which I was loosing interest in the Pacers, my interest in the Colts grew and grew. I watched the Colts before, but not like I have in the last 5 or 6 seasons. In these past seasons, Peyton, like Reggie, is the main man and really makes it fun to watch our boys in blue. But with him possibly departing, could this be another Pacer situation for me? Will the Colts start constantly loosing? Will the player that makes them funnest to watch, with his future with the colts in jeopardy, be the beginning of the end, start the decline in the fan base?

You know this is called "Chicagoism" or the east coast version "Bostonism" a theory of "I want to root for my area team so bad as long as they win." Back in the 80's Bears fans were everywhere Da Bears was the popular team for anyone who had any connection to Chicago where did the Bear fans go during the Wannestedt era? Da Bulls! Bulls jackets were everywhere because Michael Jordan always won this one became pretty much national, since people love athletes that have a lot of success, and of course in 2010 you couldn't go too far without seeing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey everywhere. You see Chicagoism is brag about your team as long as they win and strut around in their gear every day,and stick it in the closet when things go sour, and get excited about another sport as soon as they go for a championship. Me, I'm still going to wear my Colt hat even if they stay 2-14 next year.

  12. Wow, I didn't know he only had 6 winning seasons in 18 years, I do remember the mess the Oilers were in the season he took over they basically built everything around Warren Moon and when he left they dropped from 12-4 to 2-14 sounds familiar to the 2011 Colts.

  13. i just dont want to see the Patriots or Saints in Colts territory for the Super Bowl. If they do, it should be to lose...

I think the team I would want their the least is the Packers, every time the Colts play the Packers in Indy one of the Fox ^fool^s will have to point out that Green Bay has more fans in Indy than the Colts. so anyone but the Packers.

  14. I don't see this happening, I used to live in eastern Iowa, and when the Hawkeye season was over they would fill up the Cedar Rapids Gazette with stories about maybe Ferentz leaving for the NFL(Browns,Jaguars, etc.) and every time he wouldn't but, he would get a raise. He gets paid big money for basically 1 great season (2003).

  15. It really matters what the plan B is, if it's a choice between Jim Caldwell or former Lions coach Marty Morninweig I'll take Caldwell in fact I'll take Caldwell over any of the former Lion coaches Marriucci,Fontes, etc now if a proven, build from the ground up coach emerges like Gruden, Cowher, return of Dungy, etc then its time to part ways.

  16. Manning, of course Luck has never led the Colts to a victory, he has one less than Paul Justin! does anyone know if the Rams are going thru this? Bradford isn't exactly mister durable, If they think Luck is on the same level and would trade the pick, then how can Luck be a once in a generation QB? maybe, I don't know how severe Peyton Mannings injury is but,if it is an age issue 35/36 is ancient for a RB not a QB how old was Kurt Warner in 2008? or Elway in 1998? I would take Andrew Luck if available but, I wouldn't implode the franchise if there was a good chance Peyton is at least 95% of his old self.
