  1. well we had a great year, Everyone predicted us to regress this year and we got better. Luck played very well this year and only through playoff experience do you get better. Great learning year. We have some needs to address and we will. Now that our season is over and we have a bright future I want Peyton to get number two.

Really not upset just a little at the no calls which we didn't get but would not have made a difference in the final score. You just can't keep falling behind like we have been doing, got to fix that next year. Our future is bright colt fans. heck of a year

  2. That's dodging the question, though. It's easy to say 'I don't care who we play as long as we win'. I mean, of course...

The point is that rooting for one side gives your team a better chance to go to the Superbowl, while rooting for the other side gives many Colts fans an 'awe shucks at least we get to watch Manning win' backup plan.

I'm curious which mentality wins out in the fan base...wishing best for Peyton, or wishing best for the Colts.

its easy colts first  peyton second   what is so hard about that to understand   . I can stand losing to peyton rather than rivers so here is for  colts broncos afccg   and go colts

  3. Here's an interesting one for all the Colts (slash Broncos) fans out there!

If the Colts beat the Patriots on Saturday night, who do you root for on Sunday? Do you root for the Chargers so that you can have the AFC Championship game at home against the #6 seed? Or do you continue to root for the Broncos/Manning even though that means you travel to Denver against the #1 see which would seemingly be the 'more difficult' road to the Superbowl?

I would rather lose to the broncos if we can't win it and see Peyton win another ring

  4. We could easily have this matchup for the next four years. Brady never gets hit much, I think it's going to be up to him when he retires. Not due to diminishing skills (BB line).

We play them next season and it won't be surprising at all if we play them in the regular season as long as Brady plays.

You make a good point though, enjoy the game for the fact that two future HoF QBs in different stages of their careers are playing.

I am not sure he retires a Pat, you know Bill has been known to let his aging players go to better his team in the past....Don't be surprised it happened to a lot of great ones and Bill is all about making his team better, Did you ever envision Manning playing elsewhere? I sure didn't.

Brady will be one of those to overplay his career and Bill is not about that.Agree he doesn't get hit much but he is getting older as they all do. Just my thoughts and opinions

  5. We need to enjoy this matchup. It wont be long before Brady is done and so will the Pats be .We got lucky getting Luck after Manning and not so many teams follow one great with another one. This matchup we should really enjoy while its still here in the moment. Three years from now Luck will be in his prime and the pats will be looking. May be a long time before we have these matchup with this team in the playoffs. I know some will say they have BB but going to be hard to find another Brady.....thoughts???

  6. Good luck today, Colts fans. It should be a great game. I for one certainly am not anticipating a blow out one way or the other; it should be a close thrilling game!

Just as an FYI: most Patriot fans no longer dislike (or loathe) the Colts anymore. That ended with Peyton and Polian leaving. There's more of a respectful attitude towards the Colts held by Patriot fans. Luck's a good kid.

I of course hope for a Patriots win, but respect this Colts team.

and I will never understand why they disliked either ,

  7. Yeah, I'd rather have the pats win if they play the chargers, just because I live in SD and hate listening to all my friends say that the chargers are the best team ever.

I would never pull for the pats never  kinda like the Yankees in baseball   hate em  and I really think its because of their fans  both teams

  8. agree but almost doesn't count  they lost

I just think what we have done with with 2 different coaches and quarterbacks is just as amazing ,granted they have more superbowls but look at our colts , team completely gutted and win 11 games two years in a row and dn't forget we had a shot at a undefeated season also

  9. It maybe 10 years since they WON a Super Bowl....   but they've been in two other SB's and almost won both of those.

Plus,  when they're not in the SB,  they're still in the playoffs, and often reach the AFC Championship Game.

I think the point of the original post of this thread is incredibly misleading........

The Patriots are still a very, very well run franchise, and a very, very good team.

We'll need to be at our best to beat them.

agree but almost doesn't count  they lost

  10. Well yeah just like most Colts fans will be too.  They want the AFCCG at home rather than having to go on the road.

not me if we can't win it I hope Peyton gets number two.   home field imo doesn't mean that much   and most colt fans will know our fate before they play on sunday, I say they pull for the broncos if ne wins

  11. The point is people grow weary of the mystique associated with the Patriots which was conceived by the 03-04 Pats.

Some people act as if the Colts are about to play those teams when they are really playing the 2013 Pats which are very vulnerable and flawed.

The Pats are rightly favored but this isn't David vs Goliath. This is a flawed, consistent, team with moxie and home field advantage vs another flawed team with moxie but with a higher upside and inconsistent play.

The accomplishments of the past Patriots teams are irrelevant. Very very very irrelevant.

that was my point , and thanks

  12. Not usually this way, but the grammar in that title makes you loose all credibility with your argument..   .

sorry was in a chat room while doing this just saying they are not the team they were that is all   . never make a mistake while multitasking? good for you

  13. So I heard a Mike Golic twice say the Colts have a propensity to commit turnovers which is going to make it too hard to win in Foxborough. Uh, I though the story with KC was that both teams lead the conference in turnover margins. Anyway, the Patriots of today are not the Powerhouses of the past. Their big win last year against Colts (which comes up a lot) is even less relevant than our win over KC three weeks ago. The Pats needed an on side kick recover to beat the Browns for crying out loud! My point? This is a very winnable game - and let's hope the rhetoric continues!

it has been ten years since this team won it all , they are not unbeatable ,,,,,,,,,,,period   if we don't turn it over we have a legitimate shot to win
