    In Great Britain, there was a law that if you commit suicide, the punishment would be death by hanging.

      That reminds me of an old joke......the plane goes down....nobody lived....where did they bury the survivors???? Very strange law IMO.

      It was more to stop attempted suicide than punish the dead but it's still a pretty funny sounding law. That said, it's far from the most stupid law we've ever had - as a Law student I've heard of a few funny ones!
