  1. "Despite missing 12 games in two seasons, Hooker has still been able to improve drastically all around."

When healthy we will see what a great ball player he is. But being healthy is the key factor to the type of season that he will have. Missing 12 games in 2 seasons wont' allow for much hype if you can't stay on the field.

Can anyone tell me the parking situation?  Do I need to bring some cash or is it free parking?

We'll be going on Thursday 8/1, coming from the western Chicago suburbs.  First training camp ever and I get to bring my 18 month old son.  Pretty excited about making a tradition out of it!

First, I don't mind being the team that people do not expect to challenge for a title.

I have noticed that I am not hearing much hype on the Colts from national shows.   Perhaps I've missed it, because I only listen to NFL talk to and from work (15 minutes).   However the past 2 days I happen to catch nothing but NFL talk on who's going to do well, surprise or who is the teams to watch.  Lots of Chargers, Browns, Eagles, Chiefs, Saints and Cowboys.  Not one mention of the Colts.

The reason I find that odd is because they were extremely hot in the second half of last season.  They lost virtually no one.  Second season with this O-line.   Addition of Spencer Ware, Campbell and Funchess.  Doyle back.  Houston for added pass rush and I think most feel an improved defense.   I think it is a tough schedule, but the team is 10-12 wins strong IMO.

10-12 wins is very doable with the improvements that have been made.

Just don't bring him back too fast. I remember Castanzo trying to come back too fast and it hurt him more in the long run

I get the sense from the Colts that no one will be rushed back regardless if your the starting QB or 5th in the depth charts. They have learned from the past mistakes. Go Colts!

  6. Coach Reich will have the guys believing that it's a 1-0 approach no matter what the record is. I truly believe that those guys RESPECT and have complete faith in him. This quote is perfect "We did nothing. We've got to go prove it every day and that should be our mentality."

  7. So I'm a little confused now. Are you basing your views on the roster that the QB is playing with instead of the QB himself? I don't see how you can say the AFC championship game on only had "3 great players."

If you ask me has Luck done more with less then some other QB's then that answer is 100% yes. But your question is How do you view Andrew without a championship?

Not how Andrew Luck will be viewed because he doesn't have great teams around him.

For the next few years (maybe longer)  we're about to find out what it's like to be the Patriots.   What's it like when you the HUNTED and not just the HUNTER.

Life isn't easy at the top and staying at the top.....

We have been here with Peyton but have never been in the position to be hunted with the core we have now. In the next few years we will know a lot more about this core other than feeling or being like the Patriots.

  9. Are you talking about viewing him as a Colt or overall QB?

If you are talking about being an Indianapolis Colt then yes he is up there number 2 behind Peyton. However if you are asking about overall this will be one that will take some more time to figure out. His legacy will be determined on how he does in the playoffs and not by the team that is surrounding him.  I get a lot of shade thrown at me about Luck not being a QB that can handle the pressure of the big game. I hope that this isn't the case after he decides to hang it up.

    Go Colts!!

The only other legitimate option would be a Purdue game.  I've never been to a game there, but they seem to draw a lot of fans and support the team when I see them on TV or highlights.

I've been to some Indiana University games and have enjoyed them, but there's always lots of empty seats.  However, Coach Allen has done a very good job making them respectable in the Big Ten and they are fun to watch.  They are starting to draw more fans to games and the stadium upgrade helps, too.

If you can go to a Notre Dame game, then that's the one to choose.

    Thank you for the response.

  11. Beware

    QB-Jared Goff

This is more about Todd Gurley and rather the Rams are dailing back his workload. If that is the case, I don't think that will benefit Goff as the rams putting the team on Goff does not equal the same success as the offense going through Gurley.

I think that Goff will be just fine for this upcoming season. Gurley isn't going to be the full work horse but I honestly think Goff will take a step forward and lead the Rams to a good season regardless of Gurley's production.

  12. We have to improve from game to game. I am sure that the Colts will due just fine against the Browns this week. The offense will come a live and the defense should show up for the whole game. The run defense has to be better but when you are down 34-0 it is hard to have a great game against the rush.

  13. Regardless on what people thought this team has to go out and play to what their capable of. The defense to mean just went out and got smacked into the ground to be honest. I thought that the offense did a decent job but could have done a little better.

  14. With all the hype going into this game by the Colts players saying that they are a team of 53 and that they will come to play and win this game lied to themselves. The whole team didn't show up in the first half, not sure why this happened but it did. The defense looks like the defense of old (not being able to stop anybody).

  15. The Colts will be just fine this season. Game 1 is what it was but they got into a semi good offense and defense the 2nd half. I know there are a lot of haters out there saying Caldwell can't coach and all this but the truth is that he is a decent coach.
