One preseason game and we should've drafted him? It's good and all that you like the guy, but just because he had a good game (except for the very end), doesn't mean we should have drafted him
-
Unless he decides to gain weight and atleast be at the 240-250ish range I don't see him being an effective defensive end. Maybe he could play linebacker for us, but even then I don't think he'd be that great. If he really wants to make it in the NFL he can't rely on speed, because as soon as hes touched by an o-lineman it's over cause he can't overpower anyone.
-
This just seems to be like you're making something out nothing to be honest
-
Oh no it came from another team's coach, he must be taking shots at the Colts!!! . What he said isn't a jab at the Colts at all.
-
Here's one. You just enjoy being a colts fan and not have a silly guideline thread like this :foam:
-
How about you not type in all caps.....then I actually might care to give a real response to the topic.
-
I say 11-5 or 12-4 is most realistic.
-
He'll get in, but until Cris Carter gets in (should have been in) I think he'll have to wait a little bit and not be a first ballot.
-
1:18-1:22 shows Costanzo is gonna be learning alot about very good DE's. He might be getting torched now, but 2-3 years down the road and it will pay off big time. John Chick had some moments he put up some good pressure, but on some running plays he got abused and was taken out of making a play completely.
-
pass would never have gotten off because he would have been sacked for a loss of about 15 yards....
Agreed, Painter would've been decked for atleast a large loss if not a sack/fumble and D recovers.
-
Might be worth bringing him in and coaching him up..A huge might, but I can see this paying off if he actually gets coached up. He's got the athleticism to be a good safety, but mentally he isn't ready in my opinion. Coach him up in the cover 2 system and have him learn behind Bethea and Bullitt and then let him loose. He could be a valuable back up as well as a good special teams player. In a way he could be what Bullitt has been the last few years and you can't put a price on that.

Looks like the questions here have been answered. I hope Harris pans out for us. I like that we're taking a chance at making improvement at DT.
Antonio Johnson though is the only real 'NT' on the DL though. It would be nice to atleast have something to back him up (Pat Williams).
-
Nevermind on Aubrayo Franklin...1 year deal with the saints...
-
I still think it's worth looking at Aubrayo Franklin. He'd be very good in a rotation with AJ at the NT spot.
-
I would have liked to see the Colts sign Amobi Okoye, but bears snagged him. Hopefully they sign Aubrayo Franklin and or Tommie Harris.
-
We don't need Matt Light at all. Unless he comes in for cheap there is no reason spending money on a 33 year old tackle. We draft Costanzo to play left tackle for a reason. Johnson can play right tackle (He showed it in the superbowl against the bears) or he can kick in to guard. We have options and most of them are good. We don't have a dire need to sign anymore offensive lineman.
-
Lets not be too hard on Clint. He's just playing the game of buying into a new surrounding. The Jags made him a heckuva deal, and lets be honest, the Colts broke up with him. If you were Clint, you would feel a bit disgruntled, right?
I would, but then I'd look at the contract I recently signed and then go "Well the money will be there to console me". If he ends up like cato june he'll be an after thought in 2 years.
-
Well there are some options out there to replace him. Tommie Harris, Aubrayo Franklin, Pat Williams or even try to get Amobi Okoye.
-
One thing to consider is we resigned Bullitt. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't sign, but if he does it definitely shores up our safety depth.
-
A 3 year deal for Wayne and a 4 year deal for Mathis sounds fair.
-
ATTENTION: I'm calling it right now Kelvin Hayden ends up in Chicago.
Will it be Tim Jennings 2.0? He somehow ends up playing a bit better compared to when he played for the Colts and some people go "Now why didn't he do that for us?".
-
Wow, THANK YOU PEYTON. His deal is an 18M cap hit, which is perfect and ideal. We can resign almost all our free agents that we want to sign, and maybe even go out and get a free agent or two.
The 2nd best thing out of this

Good one. If I've seen one *ic thread recently, this is it.

In the future ya might wanna look at all of the first page of threads before posting the same thing...
