  1. Think its a good decision. I said a while back that McClendon just don't look to have the right stuff (of course thats my opinion). There is, afterall, a reason why most teams and scouts didn't think he was NFL material.

Did you watch the preseason game at all? Compare Pollak to McClendon and then tell me the exact same thing...

  2. Unless he decides to gain weight and atleast be at the 240-250ish range I don't see him being an effective defensive end. Maybe he could play linebacker for us, but even then I don't think he'd be that great. If he really wants to make it in the NFL he can't rely on speed, because as soon as hes touched by an o-lineman it's over cause he can't overpower anyone.

  3. Might be worth bringing him in and coaching him up..A huge might, but I can see this paying off if he actually gets coached up. He's got the athleticism to be a good safety, but mentally he isn't ready in my opinion. Coach him up in the cover 2 system and have him learn behind Bethea and Bullitt and then let him loose. He could be a valuable back up as well as a good special teams player. In a way he could be what Bullitt has been the last few years and you can't put a price on that.

  4. Looks like the questions here have been answered. I hope Harris pans out for us. I like that we're taking a chance at making improvement at DT.

Antonio Johnson though is the only real 'NT' on the DL though. It would be nice to atleast have something to back him up (Pat Williams).

  5. We don't need Matt Light at all. Unless he comes in for cheap there is no reason spending money on a 33 year old tackle. We draft Costanzo to play left tackle for a reason. Johnson can play right tackle (He showed it in the superbowl against the bears) or he can kick in to guard. We have options and most of them are good. We don't have a dire need to sign anymore offensive lineman.

  6. Lets not be too hard on Clint. He's just playing the game of buying into a new surrounding. The Jags made him a heckuva deal, and lets be honest, the Colts broke up with him. If you were Clint, you would feel a bit disgruntled, right?

I would, but then I'd look at the contract I recently signed and then go "Well the money will be there to console me". If he ends up like cato june he'll be an after thought in 2 years.

  7. ATTENTION: I'm calling it right now Kelvin Hayden ends up in Chicago.

Will it be Tim Jennings 2.0? He somehow ends up playing a bit better compared to when he played for the Colts and some people go "Now why didn't he do that for us?".
