Decent chance we take a QB in the 2nd round in my opinion but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't and roll with Brissett and a FA QB pickup.
-
Get Burrow and some solid o-line help, they can compete. Funny how one little rumor makes people hold onto that idea.

Why not? KC did it and look what they got
They got Patrick Mahomes. One of the best young QBs in the game. I don't think Herbert or Love are going to be anywhere close to his level. Seems like a huge risk but I suppose if we're drafting in the 20s every year consistently then it doesn't matter much if we give up our 1st rounder.

Bet a lot of top draft stock for a QB that may not be worth a damn? Yikes, not sure I'd be going that route.

This guy reports that Rivers may go to Colts.

Jeudy and Hilton together would be pretty special. No more holding the ball as if nobody is open.
Hilton, Jeudy and Campell would be a sweet WR group if they remain healthy.

If he's BPA, then do it. I'd also have my eye on Brown and Kinlaw if available.

I'd be interested.

I think it's simple. Draft best player available. If Ballard thinks that's Jerry Jeudy, then go for it. If Ballard's guy is Jordan Love or Justin Herbert and thinks he needs to move up to get one of them, then go for it. If we don't move up or down and there's a QB that Ballard likes at #13, easy call. I'm trying not to sweat it too much. Ballard knows what kind of team he has and he's not stupid. Frank Reich and the scouts were watching the QBs very closely the last couple days, I think that should say something at the very least.

Wow, that just seems unnecessary to have them boated in on the fountain. lol.
Vegas was pretty cool, lots to see and a crap ton of walking. Definitely the concrete jungle. Have fun!

Would rather have Chris Jones if he somehow becomes available....sign Jones and possibly draft Kinlaw/Brown....D line becomes potentially scary there.
That would be amazing.

If he somehow doesn't get re-signed or tagged by the Jags, Ballard must get this guy a contract. He is a damn good player.

I like CeeDee Lamb but the only way I would take him is if we move back a couple spots and pick up another 2nd Rounder. I don't think he will last that long but I think we could still grab the monster DT and grab a really good WR in the 2nd round still. Hoping Paris Campbell can stay on the field and actually be productive, we will be in a good shape.

We're in year 8 of the 3 year rebuild.

I doubt Rivers moving back to Florida means he will play for a Florida team. But the chances are higher I guess. lol. I could see Dolphins signing him and drafting Tua. That way Rivers will play and teach Tua as he's recovering from his surgery. I still see the Chargers drafting a young QB since they are high enough to draft one. I think they get Herbert.

So much better than Pagano era. It was all too soon that we could never hit 100 yards rushing. We had Vick Ballard hit 100 yards rushing then a huge drought until Frank Gore hit it. I'm so glad that we have a competent GM that can draft players to put us in good position. Just need to keep stacking up elite talent.

I wouldn't mind Winston if we can coach him up a bit. He can sling it for sure.

If we were to acquire the right personnel in FA would u want Ballard to trade up to get Simmons?
I think the only person I'd trade up for would be Chase Jones or Burrow. Both would be highly unlikely to do unfortunately.

At that point you have a litany of options. Fulton at corner, Delpit at SS, Epenesa possibly, and of course Kinlaw makes a lot of sense as well. Heck you could even trade back a little and take Tee Higgins.
I like Tee Higgins, would be cool to move back a couple spots for him and pick up another 2 Rounder.
I really like Brown, Kinlaw and Yetur Gross-Matos a lot. I would be stoked with any of those 3 at our pick. I do like Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, and Jerry Juedy but I think the only way I would be happy with one of them is if we move back a couple spots to pick up another 2nd round pick. Otherwise, I would eye Justin Jefferson with our #34.

Are any of these QBs outside of Burrow going to be worth a damn? I’m just not super sold on any of them. I don’t even know if Love is going to be 1st round talent. I’d draft the monster DT or DE with the first pick.

I like him, but I don’t think he will be available at #13. I think the Lions, Panthers or Jags take him early.

Why would Brady want out of New England?
The absolutely only reason I could think of would be if the Patriots don't re-sign him. Which to me, would be a head scratcher.

I wouldn't say this upcoming draft or even possibly the 2021 NFL draft will define Ballard as a GM, but this will be his toughest draft yet in my opinion. I realize that you have to draft best player available, but yet QB is always in the back of your mind. Whether he decides to pull the trigger on a QB, that could possibly define him. Hopefully the scouts and Ballard do the best possible job with the QB scenario because it's going to be super tough to pick in my opinion.

I think Kinlaw falls to us and he would be my pick in the draft. We need him badly.
