Ravens sign him, then void the deal based on an ankle injury and now we sign him. Either Ravens are playing games or we are getting desperate.

He received a cut on his foot that became infected. Apparently this is what scared the Ravens from signing him.

I suppose the Colts doctors don't see it as a big enough issue to keep him off the field.

Wasn't there a song by that name by The Bangles?

    "Just another Manning Monday

    I wish it was Sunday

    Because that's my fun day"

(Of course its your fun day, football is on. *).

Manic Monday was a big hit for the Bangles. Do you know who wrote that song? Prince.

Yeah, I am not a fan of Richardson. Hopefully he will stay out of trouble.

It is a one-year deal worth $11 million.

The Vikings are deviating from what made them a talented team which was drafting, developing, and retaining good players. They had mostly stayed away from signing high-priced free agents like Cousins and Richardson. I hope we don't sign any more unless it is to improve the OL.

Sounds just like another certain team is trying to follow the Vikings past pattern. I'm curious what your thoughts are regarding Cousins.

It was only a muscle problem, usually when back injuries are a lingering problem there has been a deformity in the structure of the spinal column and that will cause more problems like have bulging disks, that will eventually need fusion surgery. Since Pugh's injury was only muscle the chance of re-injurying or having lingering problems is significantly diminished because there wasn't any bone or cartilage damage.

Cartilage pretty much doesn't repair, that's why Mewhort will always have lingering problems with his knees, and for him I think he can only be signed as a backup because I don't think he can play a full season with how messed up his knee cartilage is.

Do you have a source for this information? I would feel much better about bringing him aboard if this can be verified.

I know full well about structural deformity & bulging discs. I am a 3 level fusion patient. Perhaps this is why I'm so gun shy when it comes to hearing about a potential player with back issues.

His back injury wasn't structural, (unlike Mewhort's knees which will never be completely healthy) so he won't be predisposed to re-injurying it.

Can you elaborate on his back injury? Was it only muscular? A back injury can be very debilitating for a lineman & it always frightens me away from signing a player with such issues. I'm very curious to know if his injury will perhaps not be a lingering issue. Because if that's true, I'm all in for signing him.
