Bluebambi asked me this same question once. Here is what I told him in response:One of my favorite TV programs, now in re-runs, starred Ted Danson as Dr. John Becker. And Becker, a sarcastic physician, always ate at Reggie's Diner. 1 of the regular customers at that establishment always addressed himself in the 3rd person "Bob does this...Bob hates that" kind of thing. It always struck me as genius & hilarious at the same time like a guy living his life through a near death experience. In other words, using 3rd person is a great comedic device because it allows you too comment on situations that happen to you almost from a distance like the circumstance is happening to someone else & you are just observing the fallout shielded from any collateral damage. Plus, it funny as hades IMO.So, SW1 is paying homage to "Becker" & Bob Whiley & using 3rd person as a comical anecdote to life's situations & commenting on them for primarily humor or to make a logical, serious point about a situation or circumstance.I hope that answers your question Snoknockind.

2 excellent points JlynRN! I just worry about how quickly we gel as units & work together as units...Pass rushers aid the secondary...O-line holes aid the running backs...punters pin your opposition deep & force your adversary to run the whole field in order to score...SW1 just doesn't know how fast each piece will solidify to dominate games down the stretch.
But, we are unselfish squad though. We don't care who gets credit for individual stats just win the game. Unselfishness across the 53 man roster usually spells a Lombardi trophy in the near future.

It's their property. They can put in place whatever rules they want. Your coming into their building where they are 100% liable for what goes on inside it.
No one is forcing you to go to the stadium. But if you want to. They make the rules. Just like if I wanted to check someone's bag if they wanted to come in my house. They aren't obligated to let me, but I can refuse to let them in if they don't.
Also the 4th amendment clearly states "Unreasonable search and seizure." It's not unreasonable to search people who might have dangerous things on them. Seeing as people have done it many times before.
Yeah it is totally reasonable to search 60,000 people. Where is the probable cause for the search. You can allow yourself to be punished and your rights stripped from you because of a couple of psychos.

Read this......understand it and stand up for yourself and fellow Americans. Where in their does it say that security at the stadium can search my bag and take whatever they feel is dangerous?

They absolutely have every right to search your stuff if your entering THEIR facility. If you don't want to go to the stadium. Don't. If someone is so offended by the security making sure a wacko isn't bringing a gun or a bomb into a place filled with innocent people, I don't know what to tell you.
What your trying to compare this to is completely different. Couldn't be more different if you tried. It's not like their giving cavity searches. You open the bag they do a quick look, and your good to go.
People are so dramatic about stuff like this. Dangerous people have a pretty rich history of doing stupid things at sporting events. This isn't like a new precedent or anything. -
I remember the Colts being called soft................how about soft fans. Quit being afraid of everything. The government, police, TSA....security can not protect you. Protect yourself and your family and quit putting that responsibility on someone else. (Wuss). Those dogs standing with the police right next to the explosion (Boston) did not protect the people and searching bags or violating your rights will not protect you either. You are the ones Benjamin franklin and our fore fathers warned us about. We need more men in this world not a bunch of over reacting, whiny spineless cowards. MAN UP.
Scaird? Stay away from the stadium. Stay away from schools, planes movie theaters etc. Where will you go where you feel safe and not need to be searched? Nowhere?

I personally do not like it. Granted I never carry a bag in, what happens if you have a family and you are taking your wife and young kid who's still in diapers to the game as some people do? You can't carry a diaper bag now. I think it's just another example of people being willing to agree to limits on their freedoms in the name of security.
I have been reading all these post and knowing what my response was going to be and then you types this.............BINGO!!!! We have a winner.
"Those who give up their liberty for security deserve neither". Many here seem willing to give up those freedoms (smh) buttercups!
I am amazed so many people do not see what is happening around them. No one has any business snooping thru your bags.
What is next? In order for our neighborhoods to be safe the government has ignored the 4th amendment and decided they need to go door to door in the neighborhood and search for bombs. Knock at the door................let us in we are going to search you and your house.

How about we not turn this into a "the cops are blank thread" we had that a couple weeks ago. I'm sorry, but you're in denial and wrong. Everyone has to play by the rules.
I am not sure what thread you are refering to but I guess you were on the cops side? What am I in denial about? Is it that cops are not always looking for a way to jail and ticket the public in order to generate revenue? What am I wrong about? Is it that gun laws in DC are unconstitutional?
Are you keeping up with current events? The government and police do not play by the rules and if you play by their rules I hope no one is counting on you to protect and support them.
I do not want to argue with you but if you believe everything that the government, cops and media claim............then you really need to take a look at what is happening right under your nose.

WISHTV (local Indy) just reported that officers smelled weed and found alcohol in the car as well. The colts need to send a clear message to the rest of their players and make an example out of Lefeged. Hate to lose a good special teamer, but surely one of the new additions can replace him.
Most cops say "we smelled weed and alcohol". They need an excuse to turn the car inside out to find something to arrest you. I would not be surprised if the only charges that will come out of this is are gun related. Cops hate guys with guns because they can not pull their bully crap. It is not against the law (constitutional) to carry a gun and ammo.
We need to send a message to our government.............get it right. Its us against them..........you are with us or against us.

I live near DC and travel that area quite a bit. Gun carrying folks are always risking arrest when traveling thru DC and Maryland due to their unconstitutional laws.
I carry and know that if i am caught I will be in deep % but the constitution is the law I live by. I may have even become paniced enough to run from the police.
I bet its all a bunch of nonsense unconstitutional charges. Unregistered gun, ammo? There is no reason to register a gun or ammo.
I bet the guy who ran was carrying and knew how Police would do him if caught.
They should of stopped when lit up and refused to give up any weapons.

The question is whether that would be what's best for our team. There's nothing wrong with Donald Brown. He's still better than Carter and Williams. His performance and production last season was very similar to Ballard's, yet everyone has decided that Ballard is significantly better. Whatever, let's call Brown our #3 back. What's wrong with that?
Why not let him compete through camp, and then settle on your best stable of three backs?
The actual factual of it is that Donald Brown is in the fans' doghouse. People have been talking about cutting Donald Brown for years now, despite the fact that there's a place for him on the roster and he's not making a whole ton of money. Just leave it be and see who rises to the top of the heap in training camp. But right now, there's no way Brown doesn't fit in the rotation.
Donald Brown has no business being part of the monster............buttercup

If our D-line is absolutely magnificent , perhaps. We don't have a D even approaching Ravens, 49ers, Steelers, Seattle, and on and on. so no, we are nobody with these individuals right now. I think Bethea will start his major decline this year, Toler --- ehhh??, Davis is good to good +, Landry's better days are behind him in the tinted rear-view mirror.
Let me guess............er an optimist. Seriously I have never seen anything positive you have posted. Sad.

Are the Colts (Pagano and Pep) wanting a power running game or just wanting to run the ball more often?
Either way I just do not see the personnel (Running backs) on the roster at this time.
Donald Brown is not a power runner or a guy who can carry the load. What if Vick goes down and DB has to be the #1 back and Carter, Williams or Havili have to be #2? I believe we have a couple of backs in Carter, Havilli and Williams who can handle some carries but I can not see us counting on Donald to handle the load if VB has to miss some games.
Obvously the Colts do not like the scenario I mentioned and gave AB a look. Who else is out there (Hillis)? Will we wait for cuts to get a bigger, better veteran RB.
Do we have enough talent as of now at RB if Vick is lost for the year?
I believe the Colts are seriously looking for another RB and AB is who they targeted. Now if AB does not sign with us I believe we will see another RB targeted.
Do you believe if AB does not sign we will go with the running backs on the roster now?

I can get behind that. A lot of the guys we have broguht in I've only seen highlgiht reels or limited viewing time if any at all. Had a couple coke n crowns last night viewing the forums and saw about 5-6 posts about who was good at this n who was good at that n it flagged in my noggin
.Kenny why would you ruin a great drink (Crown) with coke? May I suggest Ginger Ale if you must mix. Try the Crown Black.....very good and the reserve is even better but expensive. Enjoy
