  1. I really liked what I saw from Kellen Mond in the Texas A&M-Texas State game. Will definitely be watching him as the season goes on. Pinpoint accuracy both inside and outside of the pocket. Looked like Aaron Rodgers at times.

It was against Texas State though. Next week against Clemson should be fun to watch.

This basically his first opportunity. JoJo fumbled a couple in his first opportunity as well. He then had 3 more preseason games to recover. Hart will not have that opportunity.

He led the Colts that preseason in receiving yards, receptions, punt and kick return yardage. He had some muffs in the last preseason game, but also made a couple big plays in that game (51 yard catch) like he had the entire preseason. I'm honestly shocked he didn't make the roster.

While I agree that Hart only had one game to show what he could do and may have some potential, I'm not comparing him to Jojo Natson until I see similar explosiveness both as a receiver and returner.

Penny Hart = JoJo Natson. Talented but jittery.

Ironically JoJo is now pretty solid 2 years later for the Rams.

Jojo made multiple big plays in preseason and had some great punt returns with us which earned him the job on the Rams.

Penny Hart has done nothing but muff two punts.

I just wonder how much more rehabbing and pain he had to go through to be ready?  It must be much more than they are reporting. He definitely had a that's it I'm done with this vibe to him in that presser.  Almost like he got worse news about the injury than he was expecting and just said I can't do it anymore.

I think the idea is that no matter how much rehab he was doing, there was no progress being made. I just feel like he's sick of having to constantly stress about getting healthy in time to reach a deadline, and he's sick of getting dealing with the injury process in general.

  5. Brissett is a decent QB and may be able to lead the team to success, but he showed in 2017 that he cannot close games and he can't make the money throws that an Andrew or any other elite QB can make.

Our team is strong enough to keep us in games, it'll be interesting to see if Brissett can finish close games this year as he hasn't looked too good in training camp and preseason so far.

How is he out there, warming up pre-game and ish??? He obviously talked to Jim about it before now. Just a show to sell tickets?

No I think with how shocked the whole world is, this is something Andrew Luck told Jim Irsay before the game started today. It'll be interesting to hear what Irsay and Luck say themselves.

I vote for adding a QB of the waiver wire

I think people are being a little too hard on Walker. Kelly is obviously the better quarterback,  but Walker is out here throwing passes to Veasy and Marcus Johnson. He doesn't have Cain or Krishawn out there.

Not to mention he has two horrible tackles in the game giving him no time to do anything.

Good point.  Well put him on the practice squad.  But play him all 4 quarters next week to avoid injury to the other QBs.

It's going to depend on if Andrew is playing week one. Walker will make the roster if Luck doesn't play because Chad Kelly is suspended the first two weeks. If Luck does play, Walker probably will be on the practice squad until Kelly's suspension is finished.

Clark is bad. Isn’t Haeg really AC backup?

Clark started at left tackle a few weeks last season and was bad then too. Cost us the game against Phili. We can't take the chance that he gets in during the regular season. He's gotta go.

Chris Ballard needs to have his eyes on potential backup linemen that gets cut from other teams because we have very little depth. I'm only comfortable keeping Haeg and Andrews outside of the first 5.

  10. Don't know how shocking these moves would be to other people, but one guy I can see being cut that I thought was safe before training camp is Evan Boehm.

He seems to be playing with the 3rd stringers in camp behind Josh Andrews, and I thought he was one of our solidified backup linemen for this year. I think an offensive linemen can surprise people and make the roster like Glowinski did last year.

I could see George Odum making the roster over Matthias Farley as well, which was not something I saw happening unless there was an injury.
