Whatever happens, whenever it happens... This is how I can see it going down since all the owners are in Arizona.
Everyone is sitting around a GIANT circle table, kind of like King Arthurs round table. All of a sudden Jim gets a text, he looks down at his phone and it's from Grigs. The text message reads, "We brought him down alot, and he really wants to play for us, we need to lock down this offer NOW." Irsay stands up and excuses himself from the table from a minute to step out into the hallway. He keys in the appropriate speed dial number for his up and coming young General Manager. "Do It," he says in a barely audible voice, just loud enough for the person on the other end of the line to hear him. Irsay slips back into his chair, careful not to make alot of noise. He glances, ever so slightly at the owner who's receiver he just basically stole at such a cheap price. He lets out a heavy sigh and grins letting his mind wander from the boring rule talk, something about runningbacks and lowering the heads. It's a good day to be a Colts fan, It's a good day to be Jim.
this....is awesome

Hey, Irsay did say WR and others... did ya'll already talk about who the others could be? sorry I just got back from a 6 hour drive.
I doubt it but i hope we pick up Brandon Moore since he's gonna be cheap

what if the "boat" reference is reference to darrius heyward-BEY? just trying to figure something out
-
Atleast now that we know it's not Cruz we most likely will keep our 1st round pick! I don't know about you guys but I actually hope it doesn't go through.
-
Well if it's Cruz, and he doesn't want to play for the Colts, then frankly I don't want him here. There are other options,
I don't think that's the reason, he probably wants more money and he can't sign until tomorrow. If we could get him for the 7-10ish a year range it wouldn't be a bad deal. Mike and Percy got 12 a year and Cruz is a safer bet..
-
So he can't sign anything until tomorrow?!

Giants co-owner Steve Tisch is bracing himself for a team to go after RFA Victor Cruz. Says someone will probably make an offer.
Gasp!
that's us! :o

This thread is slowing down.. but it'll pick back up as we approach post #2000.

82.1
jk I'd say 65
i call 70 hahaha

I wouldn't mind D. Alexander especially cause we wouldn't give up any draft picks..
-
Victor Cruz for the 24th overall pick is a great deal! We get our next primary receiver and he will be able to continue our history of legendary receivers...Plus the Seahawks gave up the 25th and two other picks for P. Harvin along with a heavy contract.. Cruz would not only be cheaper but he would also only cost one pick and he would be worth it cause he is proven and young.

This is great news because now the chances of the Vikings drafting Keenan Allen at 23 just went down!
Hell yea! that's what i was hoping for...K. Allen is gonna be a beast once Reggie retires, im so excited!!
-
I think that in the first round we go BPA from WR,OG,NT,OLB,CB. and i defanetly dont think hunter will be picked in rnd. 1 i think Keenan Allen would be perfect in round 1 if avalible
i agree! I honestly hope he falls to us and that could happen if G.Jennings signs with the Vikings!

1st-WR Keenan Allen
3rd-OG/C Barrett Jones
4th-OLB Sean Porter
6th-DE Michael Buchanan

While your fear is warranted about Allen falling to us I've only seen one mock draft that has Allen being taken before us and it was by the vikings. However sketchy mock drafts are most of them only have i think two receivers going before our pick and thats Tavon Austin and Patterson. I don't want Austin (carbin copy of Hilton) i would love patterson though.. I think Reggie could develop him very nicely.
Exactly! I think I've only seen one where they take him at 23 overall but hopefully it doesn't happen. I agree about Austin being the copy of TY so there's no need for him but i definitely could see Patterson in a colts uniform..My top 3 choices would be Patterson, K.Allen, and Quinton Patton(but not in the first) as they all have the potential to become primary receivers once Reggie retires.

I agree! we could also try to go for Ramses Barden or Danario Alexander since with his RFA tender we would not lose any draft picks. Apart from them no one else really is worth it so we should definitely aim for a receiver in the first or 3rd round. I personally would not mind Keenan Allen if he felt to us but that would be hard since the Vikings might choose before us..If not in the later rounds we could aim for Hunter, Hopkins, Woods, Williams, or Rogers since one could possibly fall to us and Andrew Luck would definitely help develop whoever we take into a star. P.S. Lets hope that the Vikings sign Greg Jennings so that their WR need is not as urgent and we could get K. Allen who would definitely be worth it.

this is getting out of hand! maybe we should just wait for our next number 1 guy in the draft?
