Rambo or thomas from stanford

What I say is we don't have the big name picks but I trust our management to do their job. I trust them until they give me a reason not to
-
I think if we jump the Patriots at 21 it would be worth it. What do you guys think??\
-
Colts over 49ers/Seahawks. seriously though
-
-
HELL YEA!
-
I could see it too but i think we lose against the Seahawks as well and get a 13-3 record..
-
Would not mind this but I still would rather have K. Allen. He's more of a sure thing in my opinion but I doubt he passes the Vikings specially caue they know we want a receiver...
-
That's an awesome pic you have as your AV!
Thanks man! Only the best QB of all time with the best rookie QB as well ..
-
Imagine how different history would have been? :0
-
he said it wasn't a trade though..
-
I really hope Marquardt lasts til then but he's projected to go in the 4th. It's funny cause i live around Azusa Pacific and I actually saw him a few times . He's huge.

Good idea- RFA's:
Jordan ShipleyMarlon MooreVictor CruzEmmanuel SandersDanario AlexanderBrandon BanksFA's:Josh Cribbs – CLEBrandon Stokley – DEN
Kevin Walter – HOU
Laurent Robinson -JAC
Steve Breaston – KC
Julian Edelman – NE
Brandon Lloyd – NE
Devery Henderson – NO
Domenik Hixon – NYG
Braylon Edwards – NYJ
Darrius Heyward Bey – OAK
Randy Moss – SF
Titus Young – STL
I'll try to Edit with strike through when I find those signed. But I won't know if it was before or after the famous tweet...I think the trade went downt he drain and he just trying to save face.. i mean seriously what FA WR is a whoper?
im not mad btw i didnt want to use our only pick in the 1st 2 rounds
It's still going on but it takes some time. That whopper is Danario Alexander, he is a beast!! I hope it's him so we could adress other needs in the first round!
-
I didn't want Jones before but free agency has changed my mind. We need an OG and possibly a center and he can do both. So I wouldn't hate him as a pick but I do think first round may be too high.
I think he's a 2nd day pick and maybe we could trade into the 2nd to get him
-
looks impressive
Yea and he should be cheap as well. He has so much potential!
-
I must have missed it. Who is DX?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpQr6WLJr4I 8 games played for 658 yds, 8tds
-
The WR irsay is talking about has to be Danario Alexander. He's a target the Chargers would like to keep but they placed a low round tender on him and him being undrafted means they wouldn't receive any compensation.
I believe the Colts (Grigson) sees huge potential in dare i say (Randy Fitzgerald) DX.
Structuring a contract that's sound enough that's a good deal for both the Colts and Alexander as well as keeping the Chargers from matching would seem like a hard deal to structure.
So if I had 1 guess who the WR would be I'm going with DX who fits the "Grigson Model" (Young, Upside, Relatively Unknown)
I agree and hope it's him! he has so much potential and i think he will be great!

Taking into account the recent signings of Hasselbeck and Franklin I'd have to (astonishingly) list our team needs as:
1. OG
2. WR
3. C
4. OLB (depth)
5. RB (Depth)
Other than OG our starters are basically set... my guess is that we are done in FA and move to draft guys who can replace aging players, players with questionable contracts (Satele), and provide even more weapons for Luck in the WCO... We probably should get a corner for depth, but the F.O. seems to like Vaughn. why? I have no idea...
I think that the offensive scheme change might be the excuse that Grigs needs to have another offense-heavy draft... my general preference, without knowing who is available is that we go WR, OL, RB, LB... in that order... of course, there is no sense in getting hung up on positions when we are in a perfect spot to go BPA, now....
I completely agree with you. I was hoping we would get rid of Satele and maybe draft someone like Barrett Jones who could play G/C for us. I really do hope we pick up a pash rusher or receiver in the first but I am glad that we are in the BPA spot right now!
-
Exactly!! He is young and he has had injury issues so he can't ask for much
I just hope the chargers don't match the offer!
-
I still expect us to draft a rush linebacker in this draft
If for some reason Ogletree or Jones fall to us I would be so happy! They would actually contribute from the start.
-
I love all the moves the Colts because it only adds depth to our team but from the remaining free agents, who would you guys like to have as a Colt?
I personally would like to have Michael Huff, Matt Slauson/Brandon Moore, and Danario Alexander.
-M.Huff- Would be an option at CB and S for a cheap price. He also still has a pair of years left in him and could be extremely reliable.
-Slauson/Moore-Also reliable starters and one of them could be a starter at RG for a cheap price as well. Our starting lineup would be AC, Thomas, Satele, Slauson/Moore, and Cherilus! Either one would be an improvement.
-D.Alexander- 6'5, 24yrs old, RFA but could be great if he could stay healthy. Plus we wouldn't have to give up any picks and this would allow us to focus on other areas of need with the few picks we have.
What do you guys think??
-
I agree about DX he wouldn't cost a pick and if healthy we get an amazing WR
and i'm sure he wouldn't cost more than 4-5 million!
-
I really like the depth! Josh Chapman could prove to be a steal if he is able to adjust! Imagine RJF, Chapman, Redding starting and then their backups are still able to hold their ground. BTW you forgot Brandon Mckinney

I haven't been on this thread since yesterday afternoon, so I don't know where everybody is at with this whole situation, but....
I am hoping that whatever deal that was in the works has fallen through... all of the targets that I would have liked to have seen come to Indy have been shown not to be the target... I hope that Grigs isn't trying to piece together a deal to save face... no need
I'd rather get Keenan Allen, Hopkins, or Woods (yes, Woods) in the first for cheap than sign a retread... If there are any possible targets out there that could change my mind, I'm not sure who they could be... I'm not worried about the cap... there are guys that get paid big bucks to deal with that... I just want a balanced and talented team filled with players that want to win... I can't think of anybody that we could sign that would be worth negotiating for a week or more with... It ain't Fitz, It ain't Cruz, It ain't Baldwin... B. Lloyd isn't worth a week of our time... just get a rookie and let him grow behind "Mr. Consistency"... we will be fine without all of this drama..
not that it wasn't fun for a minute or two....
btw... Hasselback signing was a good one... not that I expect Luck to miss games, but if he does have to sit out a game or two during a playoff push, we couldn't leave that up to Harnish, no matter how much many of us (including me) think that he is much better than his draft position would indicate...
the one receiver i really would still be ok with is D. Alexander. He is 24, 6'5 and could be a great weapon is he is able to stay healthy. If its not him i really hope we just go ahead and draft one.Plus i forgot to say that SD gave him his original tender and since he was undrafted we wouldn't have to give up any compensation. Best case scenario would be that we get him and use our 1st overall draft pick on a pash rusher like Datone Jones or Damontre Moore who could fall to us because of his combine.
