  1. Just saw this article today ranking the top 10 receivers in the league and I have to say that for the most part I agree. Finally glad TY is getting some credit for the things he was able to do against some of the best defenses. (ea. Seahawks). As for the rest, they forgot to include Josh Gordon who is top 5 in my eyes and I would have AJ over Dez and Julio. What do you guys think?

  2. I believe we will

If we don't, this is easily a bad trade. Even if we do, I think it's too much.

I believe this team can and will. This is only a hole that is now patched and filled. We will make playoffs this year and with the 40 million of cap space or so next year we will fill other holes. The colts will be a dynasty if all cards are played well.

  3. Think about this. He was the 3rd overall pick in 2012. We gave up a 1st with the expectations that we would make the playoffs. This guy has the potential to be a franchise player and we got him for a possibly early 20th pick. This is a steal! You guys have to look at the positives! I am so excited!

  4. You must not have watched NFL Network recently. They're all on the Luck bandwagon now. Since RG3 got injured, they don't have confidence in him anymore. All of them are saying Luck will be the most improved this coming season

It's pretty obvious because any addition to this years team is an improvement from last year. There's no way Luck regresses especially with his mentality and abilities and everyone on NFL knows that. In my opinion, Luck is gonna be like a P. Manning, Brady, and Rodgers in the way that as long as he's there you are assured 10+ victories every year we'll just have to wait and see.

  5. As always you present a solid argument in eloquent fashion. Got mad respect for ya Supes.

Not all "cheating" or rule bending is created equally, though.

In the case of Spygate, the accusation was that their illegal actions directly resulted in a competitive advantage. They didn't have to lose a dozen games in the process, so there's no short-term disadvantage translating into a long-term advantage.

If a team tanks for the sake of draft position, they're losing in the short-term to gain in the long term. Sacrificing one season for the benefit of the future.

Maybe I'm just a dirt bag (probably), but I don't see the negative side of cutting your losses in a situation like the Colts were in back in 2011. I don't consider it a dishonor or a disrespectful thing to do within the game. They were not well-prepared for life without Manning, and like I said earlier the entire team looked shell-shocked for most of the season.

A better comparison than Spygate would be the 2005 Patriots. They obviously did little to try to win the season finale, which turned out to be a loss at home to Miami. They did it for playoff position so that they could draw the Jaguars in the first round. They went on to win that game, 28-3.

Not all transgressions are created equal. It's just my opinion, but the accusations carried with Spygate are far worse than anyone saying the Colts "didn't really mind" dropping to 2-14 in order to get Luck.

If that's what you count as "evidence," fine. But I'll be brutally honest, that's probably the weakest argument in the history of sports talk. The Patriots fell short of two post-Spygate championships by the narrowest of margins. And in both cases, it was their defense that had the fatal flaws, not their offense.

It's something that someone would say if they watched five NFL games over the past 10 years. Sorry, but that's the plain truth.

Yea i understand what you're saying, I just said it cause I don't like the patriots and karma is real so that's what I think proves its real. Not real evidence but ehh a coincidence right?...

  6. I didn't suggest (nor have I ever suggested) that the Colts set out in week one to be the NFL's worst team. I'm not AM and I'm not going to go back and forth with you all afternoon and bang my head against a wall with this one. Neither of us have privileged information on this, it's a matter of seeing what you see and forming an opinion.

My opinion is basically that once it became clear that Manning wasn't coming back, the entire team seemed like it played in a fog for weeks and weeks, and did little or nothing to snap out of it. It was a lost season by the quarter-pole. This was a team that averaged 12 wins/year for the previous nine years, dropped to 2-14 in 2011, then rebounded to 11-5 in 2012.

You guys can believe what you want. I don't care.

There's also no evidence that proves that "Spygate" did anything to really help the Patriots that much, but how many New England haters hang their hat on that entire situation?

Point is, perception is what it is. It may not always be accurate, or the truth.

There's no evidence? I mean its only a fact that since Spygate they havent wont any SB...

  7. Sheldon Price is gonna be a beast!! how sick would it have been to have picked up chase thomas and then he would have backed up Mathis! i could just picture that!

Sheldon price isn't better than Cassius Vaughn if you ask me

He definitely is and he has the size and speed to be a great corner. I see both Price and Swanson beating out Vaughn and whoever our other worthless corners are for the #4 and 5 spot
