  1. His drop rate last season (12.77%) was in the same ballpark as receivers such as Wes Welker (11.28%), Victor Cruz (12.24%), Eric Decker (12.37%), and Randall Cobb (12.09%), and those guys all had much better quarterbacks working with them.

I mean.. he had Palmer.. he's not a scrub tho.. not great, but capable. Considering that Welker had an awful year with drops, cruz didn't start catching balls until week 4, and Cobb was always targeted and it's an small guy, i don't know if i should be happy with this.

We have to wait and see, he will drop some.. that doesn't mean he's not going to be usefull.

  2. uhmmm.. Tebow made it last year.. i really think Luck will be there.. Cam Newton was 40 in the list, with 4051 yards, 21TD - 17 INT (700+ yards rush) and 6-10 record..

Luck not only won 11 games and made the playoff, his stats are in par with cam's, 4,374 yards,  23TD-18 INT, he should be 45-60 range IMO. That being said.. Wilson and RGIII will be in the 30 range.. popularity contest..

  3. the thing is.. at this point, with #24 pick we MUST get a starter.. and what do we need and who can we take to be ready to plug in and play, I really see the Defense set right now, maybe OLB, but with walden's contract, will be hard to think he's not a starter.

On the Ofensive side there's holes in OL, and possible upgrade on RB (considering our guy "darn it donald" as usual plays only 6-9 games) and WR (using the dept of this draft at that range, very talented and solid and with reggie being 35, we should knock on" wood "(no punt intended) for him to play all 16 games).

  4. How is it that the mighty elite Luck produced just 9 points vs the Ravens' playoff D?

Let us not put the cart before the horse, let us let it play out. I can understand we are all excited but don't crown him yet, would be my cautious two cents. :)

The future is bright, let it shine first.

he throws it.. someone have to catch it.. that's why i believe we need to draft WR with #24..

  5. We have 3 guys (Reggie.. 35 years old, DHB concussion and suspected hands, TY 2nd in drops pct last year and our GM called him a peanut), 1 is for a couple of snaps(Brazil), and 3 that never cought a ball in the NFL. I mean, it's a need, first year WR doesn't usually have a great year, if we draft one this year he can step up and learn the game, but also help, because if he can catch, and get open he's gonna play.

  6. I wouldn't love taking a CB in the first, when we have 1 great corner and 2 capable ones, We can beat the Texans in the Division this year, to beat them at this point we don't need CB or S, we may need WR-DE and OG. I don't see a great DE or OG at that range, maybe with the 3rd or maybe we can even trade up in the 2nd or early 3rd. That's why i see WR in the 1st for us. At #24 is where the WR is loaded.

  7. great signing, prove and get money then.. low risk, could be high reward.

I still like WR at #24 tho, DHB could be great, but he's coming of a huge concussion, has bad hands, and at #24 we could get one solid receiver and possibly our #1 of the future. And to everyone talking about next year WR's, i hope we'll be 31 or 32 picking, so... don't think any elite WR talent will fall to us.

  8. nah, WR's are going to be in that 14-29, with Rams 2 picks (16-22), 1 for sure is WR, they lost Gibson and Amendola, then we have Steelers 17, i hope they go defense.. but if tavon austin or patterson is there.. i can't see them passing. Then 21 Bengals, they need a #2 but with the 1 pick i don't see it.. they may go Te'o there, if he's not taken, i see ILB more of a need than a #2 WR but that's just me. And last, the team that pick before and after us with 23-25 Viks, they got Jennings, that doesn't mean they don't go WR.

That obviously doesn't counting teams reaching and trading up, i can see texans trading up for maybe patterson or allen, maybe jets give their 2nd and 4th to get to one of viks picks. It's gonna be really interesting to see the fight for WR in the late first

Austin-Patterson-Allen-Hunter-Hopkins-Woods it's my guess.. where they get selected, don't know which team tho..

  9. NFL.com just posted some interesting videos with the "top" WR's of this draft in a workout sesion with "The Playmaker", it's pretty good stuff

Keenan Allen is still getting that knee fully healed, but it a good chance to see the personality of some of this guys. I strongly believe one of those guys is gonna be a Colt next year (if not it's Hopkins or Hunter)

  10. Depends on what's out there.. i'll try to be realistic

1- Warmack (he's being overlook and that can be a good thing for us, but don't think he'll be at #24 but you know.. if he's there...)

2- Allen (his stock is rising, i really hope he can get pass that 16 Rams - 17 Steelers)

3- Hunter ( he's good and it might be a risk at #24 because he IMO is more of a 2nd round guy this draft, but cannot go wrong with him)

    4- Hopkins (solid receiver)

5- Patterson (potencial guy, can't run routes, wasn't a #1 or a #2 in his team but big upside)

  11. You are gonna have to define "consistant" for me because I think there are several good playoff teams with questionable #2 WRs.

    • 49'ers; who exactly is their #2 WR off the top off your head?
    • Bengals; the line for #2 WR on this team is longer than a Miami Heat win streak.
    • Texans; Kevin Walter was sooooo consistent, right?

We actually have a good problem on our hands... we have several WRs who can produce the way a #2 WR should. Our problem won't be at the #2 spot... it'll be at the #1 spot before long.

By consistent #2 is to be thrown in your area at least 30%, if your #1 get 45-50 % of the time or it's just always where the QB is looking at.

49ers had Manningham, Moss and Walker, being a team that have a really strong running game, it's pretty good. Now, i see Bengals in our same level, so they need that #2 to get to the next level, along with a couple of peaces in defense. Texans are going to draft 2 WR in this draft, so they see their need.

I agree we have some guys, "potencial" dudes, i like some of them, but i don't see the answer there, and reggie can't take the same beating he took last year being the target 200 times, he's awesome, he's also 35.

  12. i think we are a top 10 team.. we are in that 7-13 team, with 6 favorites, SF, Denver, NE, Seattle, Atlanta, Green Bay.

On paper, we're there with Texans, Chicago, Viks, Cincy and Saints with the question mark of pittsburgh, and Baltimore, we can be there in the AFC.

So.. in the AFC, probably Denver > NE > Texans? > Colts/Cincy or Pittsburgh?/Baltimore? > maybe Jets/Brows(rising)/KC in the hunt?

It will be interesting for sure.. but we're "LUCKy" we're no in the NFC

  13. lol

This guy have us taking Manti Te'o at #24, and i don't really agree that ILB is a need, no Te'o tho.. in a division where they ran at you.. can't see it.

I've been saying that we should draft WR after what we did in FA, and i'll stick to it even if we sign DHB, just because the guy comes from a brutal concussion, I like him, good size, good speed, "inconsistent" is a good word to describe his hands, well.. inconsistent cost us the playoff game last year, a couple of awful Avery drops.

Contenders and good playoff teams doesn't have "inconsistent" #2 WR in their rosters.
