  1. A guy looking fast against a bunch of rugby players is not impressive

There is a distinct difference between Rugby Union and Rugby League.

Rugby League, the game Hayne plays is a lot more open and free flowing, it is constant movement for 80 minutes, unlike Rugby Union that gets bogged down in penalties and scrums etc.

I'm not saying he'll have any chance in the NFL because he is so far behind everyone else who have played it all their lives but he has all the attributes of someone who could have had a real shot.

Just because he didn't grow up in the USA, doesn't mean he is slow or a bad athlete.

  2. I support the Parramatta Eels here in Australia, it would be very convenient for me if the Colts signed him in the future, however, the guy is extremely talented, probably one of the most talented to ever play Rugby League but I'm under no illusion that he will be able to make it in the NFL, given his lack of history in the game and age.

I'm devastated he's leaving my team but I truly hope he realises his dream and wish him well.

  3. Yeah I wasn't being sexist in any way just IMO if I'm watching a game where big guys are killing each other Bruno Mars isn't the best music choice lol

I'm from Australia and the sport i follow over here NRL (Rugby League) always have the most ridiculous acts for our Grand Final, there are 84,000 thousand fans and millions at home (one of the highest rating shows of the year, every year) and we get pop acts, no-one understands! We want them to splurge and get Foo Fighters or something considering it isn't some small event, like you said it's gladiatorial and we get some boppy pop song........it makes no sense!

  4. It felt deflating honestly.

I knew the game had only just begun, but it felt like we were instantly in a hole.

I agree, it was definitely deflating........

I think what made it worse is that our D has usually been the ones that puts us in that hole and Luck has had to pull us out, this time he put us straight in it!

Thinking about it though, we went 3 quarters with a very well prepared and coached team, their game plan was perfect for us! Our D has struggled with what they threw at us all year and instead of letting Brady throw us out of the game, he ran us out! Well played by them, as much as it hurts.........

  5. I think we can point at reasons for the loss and Lucks turnovers can't be ignored. The D was pathetic for most of the game as well. I'm not putting it all on Luck, but he deserves a nice big piece. He would tell you the same thing.

I agree, you throw 2 bad picks (especially on the opening drive) you ARE to blame, but our defence over the course of the season has been embarrassing at times, especially tonight.

They (Patriots) have barely thrown the ball, so it's not like they haven't been predictable......and we still could barely stop them!

    Just wasn't our night......

  6. The two picks that were 100% on him cost us 14 points. That's significant. He's played well, but you can't turn it over like he has, and win against a team like the Patriots.

The fact we don't know how to tackle is also significant, the current drive case in point........it's been the same the whole game........

This is a team loss, I don't think anyone needs to point fingers at individuals!
