Rich Cannon nailed it and when he drops them they are usually balls dumped right in his hands. Manning typically goes right back to him and he catches the second pass.

Champion teams do certain things and most of all those "things" are what the Texans now are doing, sustained drives to score, overcoming crippling penalties succeeding at fourth and one, an aggressive, powerful defense, excellent running game with good back ups, a super receiver, a solid QB. This last game against the Steelers showed something is broiling in "H" town. Oh, by the way the fat brothers and their Jets and Cowboys are making drowning noises. The "dream team"....1-3 in the city of brotherly love

His int's are horrible int's in that he just never seems to see the cover guys standing directly in front of his receivers...mental block.
-
Imagine you are an Eagle "dream team" fan realizing Vick will never get them to the Super Bow or a Cowboy fan knowing your QB is Tony "Oops, another intercept" Romo.

The Colts organization is getting more embarrassing by the day. How does "we don't have the slightest idea of what to do" sound?
-
Decades of mediocre running only to have Jo-Jo Adai the bouncey, stutter stepper go every which way but forward. Watch, he will not be the #1 back by mid-season. His days are numbered as the Manningless Colts will get a good look at this loser.

I am also a life-long Bear fan and I can tell Harris had head issues in that one game he the man and the next game he was the statue. He just never got in the groove to stay there. I think the Colts knew that going in but thought it might be different under a different coach but expected very little.

On the same day the Cubs win the World Series.

OK, let's address the age old question.............who is at fault, the coach or the players, winning or losing? This to me is a great example of my answer, the players. Yes, it is a combination of both but putting the ball over the goal line cannot ever be done from the sidelines. I say Caldwell stays, the GM needs to seek out life forms in distant galaxies far, far away.

STUPID...to jump on any college QB...remember Art Schictler (sp) or the clown the Chargers drafted and is now considered the greatest flop in NFL history? Would it not be a tragedy if Manning's fate was sealed so he is never allowed to play again and the Colts snag Luck and he turns out to be a flop?!. How would the organization live that down? What are the odds of a Cam Newton type QB happening again in the next 20 years?
-
He put all his chips in draft choices, most of them were and are mediocre. He has not talent for wheeling/dealing in trades. Small, fast defense line and LB's, mediocre secondary and weak front line protection. As long as he had #18 he believed he would be delivered to the promise land. Well, that's like British Petroleum putting all their faith in corks to stop their leaks in the Gulf of Mexico.....................it does not work!
-
It would be nice to get him in to the fight but resistance from many of the players would be huge, receivers for example would not like risking all to train a new kid. Blockers also may not like it. EVERYONE agrees Indy is paying the heavy price for building an organization around one player.
-
They HAVE NO LEADER!!! That's been the truth since #18 went AWOL! Now, "team" is their only hope and that looks shakey.
-
They Stunk! But the Steelers got beat 35 to 7, one more point worse than us. Biggest surprise of the day was Cam Newton throwing for more than 400 yards. Terry Bradshaw said in the pregame show Newton was not an NFL QB!
-
Who would have the guts to tell him to stay home?!

Life offers as many guarantees and football games Manning will play this year."Team" means "everyone". Colts are professionals and no one has a clause in their contract stipulating they don't have to try to win if #18 is not playing. 99% of the voices say the Colts relied too heavily on #18. If that is so then I guess we will not win until he returns, if he does. I'll toss out a wager that our players know very well they are going to be judged now on character as well as the drive to be a winner. So let's settle down and take this for what it is...a setback, not a death sentence. So bring it on everyone, we will be on the field to win with or without #18.
-
IF,IF,IF our boys beat the Texans how about some cudos for the coaching staff as this is going to show if they have any Chess skills without #18. Coaches do one thing...........think. (But cross your fingers anyhow)

The Texans are going after Collins every play coming this Sunday not for just this game but for them to assure them a better chance of crushing all hopes for a late comeback by the Colts at seasons end. Why not face the facts Collins is old and as mobile as the statue of Lombardi outside Lambeau Field?
It is going to be brutal.

Sorry but no offensive line and no running game and no back up QB = Doomsday. Remember the three little pigs story where only one had a brick home? You cannot compete for the trophy anticipating no bad luck in the future-that's why we but insurance.
-
BOTTOM LINE; Colts are finally going to pay the price for 1)zero back up at QB 2) weak offensive line 3) weak running game. Face it fellow loyal Colts fans Collins is not mobile and not young and not successful. It would not sh
ock me to see Painter or someone else come in if and when the season appears to be lost. One bad year is not the end of the world. Live to fight tomorrow!!!

Gonzo will not survive due to his injuries as the folks in the know describe it. I am very high on Gilreath and Smith. Give them time to learn #18's game and things could get super juicy. The Syracuse running back looked pretty good last night against the Bengals also.

Super Bowl: Falcons vs. Chargers

I'll differ here after seeing the DETROIT LIONS (formerly 0-16) humiliate, embarrass and crush the once mighty Pats in week 3 pre-season. They are on the decline.
Give it up for Painter

I was all for cutting him but now I say play him for two reasons, 1, to build his confidence in order to get better and win a few games this year and 2, IF he is a Colt next year he will be a better back up for old #18.
