This would be my choice now. Good choice.

Defensive heavy draft for them I’d assume. Their offense is elite with a top QB, 3 good WRs in Jones, Sanu and Ridley, Hooper at TE and Freeman and Coleman at RB.
Vic Beasley only had 5 sacks on the year which is awful from such a good pass rusher.
-
WR all the way. The depth at TE with Ebron, Doyle, Allie-Cox, Hewitt and co is actually pretty good. Always room for an athletic TE in the mix but the Colts need someone to compliment Hilton.

I think Frank Reich, a back up QB himself, might value the position.
I’d definitely take a second for him though.

Urgh, that defence. If that’s what is fielded then I’m expecting a lovely draft again next year.
-
Good draft. Apart from swapping one of the guards for a tackle it’s as good as I’ve seen.

I guess I would fail miserably as a GM or player analyst. I just don't see the attraction to these ball-hawking centerfielding safeties when good NFL teams like NE and Philly have offenses that keep the ball in the air less than 15 yards.
For Fitzpatrick, it seems like coverage skills and tackling skills are part of his resume, so he might play a different role than Hooker did under our old scheme.
Takes away the threat of the deep ball and lets all the DB’s focus on the shorter stuff primarily. Teams are scared to test the deep ball too much in case it’s intercepted.

Jensen and Pugh would be nice either side of Kelly. Wouldn’t mind Mewhort back too for the right price.

There’s a thread slating Ballard for not making moves and a thread slating him for for trying to bring in a 24 year old former 1st round pick.
He has the 5th most catches for a TE aged 24 in NFL history. Averaged 4.9 yards after the catch last year, Gronk had 5.0 for comparison. Definitely better than Swope and Travis and worth kicking the tyres on.

Come on dude, it is not even in the same ballpark.
Yes, McDaniels is the hated flavor of the month but he did not take anyone's life with his actions. Bad apples to oranges comparison in the form of a question.
It’s a fairly long standing internet joke than I’ve rehashed. Don’t take life so serious, I’m clearly not comparing Josh McDaniels to Hitler and Bin Laden.
-
If you have 2 bullets and are in a room with Josh McDaniels, Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden, how many times are you shooting Josh?
-
This would be very very good. The defence would be potentially great with a good front 4 and a young fast linebacker core.
-
Why not just trade Hooker and a 5th for Mike Adams while we’re swapping good players for other good older players on the verge of retirement.
-
Chubb, Key and a cornerback would be a good haul. That would take the defence up a level without a doubt.

Gotta be thinking he is someone else.
But i do hope he drops in coverage several times next season. Those type of strategies are part of
surprising the QB and can pay big dividends, correct? Why of course!Ridgeway is 320lbs, can't see him dropping in to coverage much.

LT, Really? Maybe he would like a RB with the 1st. pick.
Are you trying to suggest a 3 time all pro, who once scored 28 rushing touchdowns in a season was a bad pick?
-
Williams would be a great signing. Keep the linebackers clean to make tackles. Considering they're likely to be rookies or 2nd year players that would be a huge help to them having someone eating up blockers.
-
Weirdly it would work out better for the Vikings if they lost the coin toss. We would pick earlier in the first, but they've traded theirs to Philly, but they'd pick earlier in the second, when they actually have a pick.
-
Freeney coming off the edge was always a joy to watch. On the other side of the ball Marvin with TY would be one hell of a WR duo.
-
Him and Freeney are what drew me to the Colts as a kid. 10+ years on sad to see him retire. Devestating when he wanted to be.
-
If I were to redo that draft I'd go Collins and Danielle Hunter as the first two picks. Hunter has 10 sacks in his first season and a half and is one of the youngest players in the NFL and super athletic.
-
Good thing about the defense is we get to see the offence a lot. That's about where it ends.
-
They had him listed as a MIKE on their board according to what I've seen on Twitter. On the tape he looks to have good hands, speed and size to play in the middle and his measurements are good for a MLB. We'll see where he lines up come camp.
-
I had to double check Atlanta didn't have two 2nd rounders then, was about to reply saying Defjamz26 was on the clock for Washington not me but @stitches is doing a great job of keeping this rolling over. Got excited at the prospect of taking Sterling Shepard for Atlanta as i was deciding between him and Cravens for my last pick.
What players should the Colts resign?

Adam Vinatieri- if he wants to
Margus Hunt- wouldn’t pay a lot but he’s been good
Al Woods- Started til injured and should be cheap
Pierre Desir- decent CB, I’d keep on a modest contract
Ryan Hewitt- good blocking TE/FB
Dontrelle Inman- Solid #3 WR
Clayton Geathers- ok if fit
Jihad Ward- let him fight for a spot preseason
Mark Glowinski- starting RG could get a decent contract
Chris Milton- great special teams guy, could be a camp cut if beat out
Luke Rhodes- vet minimum long snapper, solid there.
Chester Rogers- ok punt returner, potential at WR
Matthias Farley- done well when Geathers was out
Zach Pascal- decent WR #4/5
Marcus Johnson- WR who was traded for so might get another chance in camp.
Pascal, Johnson, Rodgers, Cain and Fountain seem to be fighting for 2 spots after Hilton, Inman, and a probable draft pick.
