Damarious Randall, FS, Arizona State.
see I like this choice, i would have been happy with Randall, Collins, Jake Fisher, or even Clemmings because safety and offensive line we need help at. but a receiver with our first pick?
-
There aren't that many guys worth trading up for. Maybe 4 guys but then again it depends on what teams value at each position.
I Would not mind if we traded up to the 20th or 21st overall and snagged Landon Collins, but I also would not mind if we stand where we are at and possibly draft Jake Fisher OT from oregon.
-
these two games here, Bailey had a perfect chance to catch the ball in the endzone in the 95' AFC Champ. game and it didn't fall the right way, and the 2005 game against the steelers. both games i felt we should have won.

Personally I think that it is "too white". Maybe if the lettering and numbers were outlined in blue I would go for it.
Actually isn't it against the Rules to have the numbers and name the same color as the jersey to where you cant see it? I thought they had to be a different color from what the main color is anyway.

Free-agent C Stefan Wisniewski visited the Patriots this week. And DB Dwight Lowery visited the Colts.
— Albert Breer (@AlbertBreer)
April 1, 2015I would have preferred us making a run for Wisniewski
-
The @Colts search for another safety has not stopped. Will one join the team before OTAs start on April 20th? http://t.co/17BQTibkNb

March 31, 2015to answer his question. No i do not think so. but hopefully they prove me wrong

"I would have no problem assisting the Bills in their quest to dethrone the Pats."
Amen to that, brother! However, as long as "the Emperor" (as I like to call him from Star Wars movies) resides in Massachusetts it will be a tough time for the AFC. The dark side "hoodie" is an incredible coaching genius. Wish it were different. The man knows how to win in the NFL. Must give credit where credit is due. It sure would be nice if he decided to retire. Never gonna happen as long as he has breath in his lungs, IMO!
although he is a genius when it comes to coaching, i don't think he does it with out Brady back there. yeah we can all say he did it with Cassell, but can he do it every year? heck who am i kidding, he would probably make Vince Young look like a hall of famer.

During the Saints fire sale I thought Kenny Vaccaro could be an option, but i think that would have happened by now if he were available. Matt Elam has been relegated to backup in Baltimore and could be available, but he's not that good really.
that is who i was hoping we could have went after when the saints opened up about trading anyone except Brees. give a 4th or 5th and 6th or 7th rounder for him. Elam isn't that bad. have seen worst and he is still young.

Grigson hasn't exactly "missed" much during his tenure, just more so of the players being dumb or injured
Brazill
Boyett
Rogers
Fugger
Anderson
Only miss really was Werner. I'll never understand Grigson's train of thought taking a project player with a 1st round pick, Grigson is a genius but I seriously think he out thinks himself sometimes. Could've easily took Xavier Rhodes but instead we take a disappointment project player
Mewhort, Newsome, Hilton, Allen, Moncrief all hAve worked out or are working out though. But would be nice to add to that list with at least 5 of our picks this year
you forgot the trade for Richardson that cost us a first rounder from last year. I think we could have used that pick to draft Deonne Bucannon the safety out of Washington State that Arizona picked with their first rounder at 27. he had 81 tackles last year as a rookie. but i guess that is all what if's then anything lol
-
then get rid if Grigs too I'm not saying to now I just mean if the run D is still poor after the season he better hope his FA turn things around for us cause there were alot of good players out there this year
or what about the offensive line? if that don't get better either. haven't they said that Grigs is a OLine type of guy? yet we have had a below average line for the last couple of years. Injuries or not. if they're gonna blame pagano they need to blame grigson also. I mean there were some good Lineman out there that we could have gotten and still have a couple out there, like Dan Connolly, Wisniewski, then there was Franklin, Carpenter, Iupati, and we didn't even go after one knowing that our line needed fixing.
-
So not in just response to you but I guess the discussion in General. I'm not a fan of Collins. I don't see him worth a first round pick. But Shaq is intriguing to me. Does anyone think we could "potentially take him there with the goal of him playing safety? He seems to me more of a S than anything but he would be a project... And one of the last things I wanna do is spend a first on a project like this but man is it tempting.
honestly i am really not a big fan of Collins myself. granted he is the only safety who could come in and make some noise but i am more intrigued with Anthony Harris out of Virginia, Prewitt out of Ole Miss and Derron Smith out of Fresno State. I would prefer us to get Shaq though. I think we could get both Shaq and Anthony Harris with our first and second rounders.
-
i'm not saying pay him 6.5 we would most likely ask him to take a pay cut if we traded him or if he was released get him much cheaper
we would offer a cheap contract, and another team would over due it. he would pick the better pay day.
-
He was the number 2 ranked G last year playing half the season pro bowler the last 2 years top PFF guard the last 3 and of course the number one rated G on Madden. I think there will be a market once he is released and the 13.5 M for the next 2 years goes away. I am not sure how reasonable of a salary anyone is getting him for.
I would offer the eagles a 4th rounder for him. it's worth it, and they may not say no if it means getting something for him.
-
if it becomes possible i would like to see us trade up to # 20 or # 21 and get landon collins to fill our safety needs. a lot of mocks have him going to the steelers at 22, but some have him going at 9 to the giants. so i guess if he is still available at 20 or 21 trade up for him .
But if not, I would like to see us get Shaq Thompson or Eli Harold OLB/DE from Virginia
but to answer the question, Holmes
-
I hope the BPA in round 1 is a defensive player.
Have a suspicion that Grigs might trade up in the draft this year
yeah i was thinking the same thing. possibly pick # 20 or 21 to try to get Safety Landon Collins out of bama if he is still available
-
How about a fake punt play while we're backed up in our own hair, they'll never suspect it and Pat's got a decent arm. What could go wrong?
I see where you went there, lol. referring back to the dallas game. maybe next time the receiver will catch the ball lol.
-
It was a huge part of the patriots and seahawks success. When they cant get the offense moving, it opens things up. The coaching and players on defense start to panic because they dont know whats next. Weve seen them try but probably not enough practice on it.
that trick play that new england ran was a throw to the tackle, we kinda ran the same play when luck threw it to costanzo and he did that goofy fat boy dance in the end zone. formation was different, but still was a trick play and it was against New England.

March 19, 2015Is it September yet?
Can't wait to see what Jr. brings to the table this season. Has Andre Johnson on the team as a mentor when he's at work, then has a dad to go home to...... he's in the perfect situation imo
Welcome Again to Indy Mr. Carter JR!
I am curious, why you are calling him Jr? he isn't a Jr.
-
Ouch. Did just see that he had surgery which means we can almost rule out MCL.
good thing is, it happened in September which means he will practically a full year of getting healthy. so that is a good thing.

Inconclusive. Different sites say different things.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1117345/nate-irving
well that is the second site i found that says ACL tear. But I guess really only him and the DR can say what it really was. but i thought it was mandatory that teams had to disclose injuries. and if everyone is saying different things, that means the broncos are/were hiding it.

Reaching for weak positions is definately a mistake, but drafting players you don't need who will never play for you is even worse. Best player available REGARDLESS of position makes no sense whatsoever. You pick the best player you can actually use. Jason_S and wig are spot on. You pick the best player on your board. A QB would never play a down behind Luck. A TE wouldn't make much sense either. When Adrian Peterson was in his prime, why on earth would the Vikings use a high pick on a running back? I think when people say BPA, it is implied that it means best player on your board.
I hope you knocked on wood after that comment. lol. as much as luck has been hit, its a miracle he hasn't been hurt yet. but it's football so i would not say "never". but let's hope it is never .

"Knee" injury is all I could find. And it wasn't an ACL tear. Possibly MCL?

Torn ACL

I still think we take a RB in the second round.
-
4 brackets and I had iowa state winning the first round in each :/
I had Iowa State going to the Sweet 16 in all four of mine. but in the end i have UK, AZ, UVA, and Gonzaga in the final four and UVA beating AZ in the championship.
With the 29th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select..........

we had landon collins dropped right in our lap. and honestly i would not have had an issue if we drafted an offensive lineman. we have bigger needs then at WR. I felt we could get a receiver in the 3rd or 4th round. since 2012 the colts have drafted 22 players, and only 7 played defense, and only ONE defensive player has been drafted in the first four rounds since 2012. the rest has been all offense. I honesty do not know who has the final word on who gets drafted, but on a defensive standpoint grigson is failing when it comes to the draft.
