most memorable moment in concert history for me & yes it wasnt the greatful dead who saw good 400 times and yet this was more memorable moment
1970 Stonybrook University GYM- sat right side of stage somewhat in front 0f it ) no behind seats there
10=15 feet behind me was monstrous speaker
who doing Tommy - suddenly Pete Townshend jumps up and strums guitar as screeching high pitched voice yells what seemed to be right into my ears HY MY NAME IS UNCLE ERNIE - they are still ringing

going to see the 2 that are left of MC 5 in Oct, cant wait for them to yell KICK OUT THE JAMES & the words that were stripped from the album and would be nothing today
Had the album that was uncensored, Then again way back then they did a short Version of The Door's Light My Fire on the radio , today the full version is classic and considered so light on suggestion, Man talk about changing of the TIMES -
it is Walt right ?

Since going to concerts since mid 60.'s at 12 years old or so traveling around the country with friends & still going, just not traveling , i have just so many favorite songs and so many various live versions of same heard , many times an unexpected top one from the past popped up & I'd cry & still have vivid memories of those times
what would life be without music and all forms of art

Have there ever been so many incredible talents in one band? My late Father's favorite song...had a very weird experience listening to this after his passing, I miss you Dad!

if u ever get a chance fly over here and here what hotel California album sounds like on a DVD Audio disc in surround sound, its out of print and would cost over $200 today used if can find
There may be still versions of it on SACD in surround for far less, and pending the reviewer , well some say 1 format is beter some say another and some say it depends on the equipment played on which is best
But I tell u its astounding and will blow u away, Your dad , may he rest in piece will rise and dance dance dance

before early passing's that signature voice for the group was amazing, esp in great remake origianally quit old cover songs or remakes of old songs with different titles that became major hits, Going up the country especially & on the road again , the latter was a remake of a guy named tom Johnson i thing under a different name but remade as on the road again in the 1950's & based on tom Johnson big railroad blues & tom Johnsons group of the 1920's was called Canned Heat Blues , thus their name, Many of those that played for canned heat instead played later I think for John Mayall
wilson played a great harmonica
Roling & Tumbling also a goody they , muddy waters and many did versions of
I think i have my facts generally right , any way if not just work with me or as Canned heat also sang Lets Work Together - & on that notes lets hope all Colt players & staff work together

Just checking in as no time soon for 3 weeks
Stevie I saw , was great truly great but for me., my age
way way to early losing ones life were , Jim Morrison, Hendrix, Lennon, Duane Allman.
Janis Joplin, PIG PEN (1st & greatest Dead keyboardist & what a live showman with such improvisation ) speaking of the Dead Jerry too though he stayed long enough to make some great music, but what was left to be made will will never know, The Stones Brian Jones though he was already replaced by mick Taylor due to the lifestyle that led to his death, just imagine a lifestyle to far out for the stones , that had to be some way of living or not, Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, 1st Allan wilson then Bob Hite, the founders writers & singers of caned heat
I could go on
I just know they are whaling it up in heaven , the place is Rockin, God is smiling

Had my yearly trip ( only 2nd 1 ) to my Brother and sister in law ( where i stayed ) ,& both nephews, and 1 with 3 kids that is 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew- all live close to each other
TERRIFIC TIME , only to short due to my issues and took all could handle and the kids can run u ragged
Ate at some great restaurants in and around Richmond, Va , this 1 Chinese place run by & called Peter Chang's who was cook at the Chinese Embassy in DC for like 5 years so u know it was good . He was hand picked from China to be the cook a stayed here
I could go on was truly fantastic and worth every effort- No way will i let those little ones grow up without them knowing me in person and also spoiling them a bit
The hugs they gave me on arrival alone were so long they were dragging me down to the floor and that alone was worth the trip

I CLEANED THE PLATES BUT GOOD - IF WASN"T FOR PROPER ETIQUETTE I'd have liked them clean
Italian Dinner dessert was Ice cream Naples Italian Special version Gelato with combination of 1. white chocolate, Oreo's & peanut butter type with 2. Chocolate Decadence
& when first got to brothers house they had already bought ( knowing how much i loved this from last year ) a great large layered chocolate cake with various icing layers & cake itself so moist & good alone yet from some famous desert place that has lines around the block where can eat in or , its annex at corner can take out. I must have had 3/4 th's of the thing by the time I left , every bite better than the previous one
I insisted on paying for the Seafood dinner as was my brothers birthday - This may have been first time i was with him on his birthday since childhood with each of us in med school, then practice and me disabled and he first retired end of last summer while commuting across half the country to work as he had moved east when grand kids born yet worked in west ohio
