Lets try not to bundle all Texans fans with this guy...every fan base has a guy like this.
-
If this is not allowed i dont know but check it out
Edit: Link removed to another teams forum.

darn, kid is on pace for something like 4600 yards which would shatter the rookie record, has a 2-14 team gutted from last year sitting at 7-4 and people still aren't happy? If Brady had those stats his rookie season I would be doing back flips. You should head over to the Pats board...nothing but praise for the guy. Even though the loss was ugly we are all hoping to have a replacement like that for Brady (not sure what we have with Mallett).
What I'm seeing here, just a perspective from an outside fan, the ones criticizing Luck with no base seem to be Manning-fans who are just bitter.
I'll tell ya what, once Manning loses in the playoffs again, the bandwagon will be filling back up.
-
Gotten really off topic but I don't know how you can say Brady isn't playing the best football of any QB right now. He has been on fire. The whole schedule thing is meaningless. The Broncos beat the chiefs 14-9, does that mean since it was the Chiefs we should think lesser of Mannings stats for that game? No. Divisional games are always ridiculously tough. The Patriots have only blown out 1 divisional opponent. Look back to the Colts over the years, even though statistically they were superior to the Jags, Texans, or Titans, those games would sometimes be really close, even with the Colts losing.
I'm not saying Brady will win MVP but no one is putting him in the race. It's been AP vs. Manning. Since the loss @ Seattle (week 6), 14 TDs 0 ints 1454 yards, 64.2% , 117.8 rating, 5-0. Best in the NFL.
Even for the season, he has the most total TDs (24 passing, 3 rushing), least turnovers of any QB, 4 total turnovers (3 ints, 1 fumble), the list goes on. Right now it's probably 1. Brady 2. Manning 3. AP/CJ
-
He is playing at the highest level of any QB right now.
-
Both are fine. I feel like Griffin still has the training wheels on where Arians seems to be letting Luck do a lot more. RG3s stats remind me more of Alex Smith last year where Luck reminds me more of Eli(sort of).
-
Ruksak, I respect you & I will readily admit that for me this move is designed more on chemistry & emotion vs reason & logic. I have seen all I need to see on Smith; He's never going to lead the 49ers to the Lombardi Promiseland. He just doesn't have it. Sorry. I ride with Kaepernic. The only move left.
He almost did last season didn't he? Two costly fumbles by the 49ers was the difference and Alex was in no way at fault for that. Both defenses played lights out.
-
They are not better than the Patriots and as much as I hate to say it, I'd take the Broncos over them too right now. I expect them to return to their cellar dweller status after this season.
-
Outdoing isn't always related to statistics. It's about winning. So yes, by looking at the wins Brady has outdone Peyton, but so has Peyton in the AFCCG. Eli has outdone Brady twice by being more clutch than Brady, thus beating him at something Brady is supposed to be the best at.
Are you forgetting the 2003 AFCCG? They are 1-1 head to head and Brady is 2-1 in the playoffs. Eli is considered more clutch because the Patriots defense sucks?
-
I hate to agree but you have a point there. I prefer not to live through Eli myself. Of course he has the Pats number for some reason. It must be in the Patriots contract with the devil?
Most pats fans hate Eli but I like him a lot. In the big game, he's just on an entirely different level. It's something that Peyton lacks. When the game is on the line, all the pressure, Eli just pulls through.
-
I'm thinking that Eli would rather hoist the Lombardi over a bunch of stats. case closed
Considering the whole Manning/Brady debate, don't you find it sort of ironic to say that?
-
and because since your defense left u suck in super bowl
Well...yeah duh? Haven't you heard the mantra defense wins championships? It's sort of difficult to win SBs when the defense lets Eli march down the field with minutes left and with a lead.
-
Well we got Luck out of our season and he will be around a lot longer than Brady. I would take that any day over going to and loosing the SB.
At the end of the day, it's all about rings...Brady has 3 and Luck has a lot of work to do.
-
Nope, but last time they met in the big game AFCCG Manning and the Colts won.
And since then Brady has been outdone by another Manning, several times. Deal with it.
Using that logic, Brady has outdone Peyton several times, head to head 9-4...see how it doesn't work? The Giants outplayed the Patriots but statistically Brady outplayed Eli.
-
They went but didn't do anything after they got there but get beat by a Manning.
I'll take that over not making the SB at all.
-
I was confused why Arians punted in the 4th down by so much. If the scenario was reversed, heck Belichick would have gone for it on 4th down even in the late 3rd.
-
The rivalry was always lopsided anyways. I think Luck v. Locker or Tanne makes more sense.
-
For a rookie he played like a rookie. I think what was more surprising was the defense. No pressure whatsoever. Both our starting guards were out. Lots of poor tackling as well, a lot of extra yards after contact. Think back to the Manning days and how Brady never lit it up that much because Mathis and Freeney would constantly be in his face. That was with a better Pats O line too. I expected Brady to be pressured much more but I was surprised. Freeney is laughing all the way to the bank ($$$)
-
Good young team. The defense needs a lot of work though. We were missing both starting guards and there was still hardly any pressure. You now see why Butler was cut. Solid LB play but I think everywhere else needs work.
-
but not in the sb
Well genius, that's probably because it is not possible for the Patriots to meet the Colts in the SB. *doh*
-
We have respectable pats fans and other teams fans on this forum, but now you're just being a troll. Way to just show up when your team wins big. Stay classy man.
I'm trolling by calling Brady the GOAT? It's just an opinion.
-
Brady did a nice job overthrowing Welker and losing the game by himself.
I'll take an overthrow to Welker over a pass to Tracey Porter ;)
-
yep... they are as good at that as brady losing against the giants
Just like Peyton against the Pats? Jesus the logic is astounding here.
-
pats are going to the playoffs but not the SB
That's what they said last year :\
