Agree. Inman has been solid since he came in mid-season. Rodgers and Pascal for the last several games have improved in just catching the * ball.

The Colts are one #2 away from having a very solid WR corps.

OK I know I sounding like a broken record BUT why is Grant still on this roster. WE could being  developing a young Tall receiver who could be getting some very important experience. I have posted this for 4-5 weeks now Grants production does not justify his roster spot. To make matters worse we started him against the Giants. This coaching staff has made many awesome decisions, but Grant is not one of them.

Here’s hoping the Colts play their best game of the year.

Where are you at with this team?

    1. I think  they’re going to win and make the playoffs.

    2. They can make the playoffs, even if they lose.

    3. Not our year. They’re going to get beat bad.

I am very optimistic when it comes to our Colt's, that said I do not choose any of your scenario's. I am looking for continuous improvements in players and coaching staff. Do they learn from their mistakes? How are our young players developing? Play calling is suspect at times, so that needs to improve. I was disappointed last week, but all in all the Colt's are fun to watch again. I am looking to see this week's performance, so We can get a feel for what kind of Team we have. GO COLT'S

If the deal isn't way over his value I'd definitely take him hes better than Grant lol

Plus did you see our WRs against Jax they were all terrible I'd take anyone at that position and give them a chance

I am a NO on Benjamin, Seems to have a injury history, and is not productive when on field. The talent/size is there,,, production is not.

Anyone explain to me why Grant is still on the team?????

Our offensive floor is better than this and this is the exception to the norm, IMO.

The Texans do not have the defensive personnel in the secondary like the Jaguars but they do have the DL to disrupt our Ryan Kelly-less-and-Jack-Doyle-less-protection. So, we have to anticipate them to do similar things and be prepared for it. Have press coverage beaters and run packages designed to get tough yards.

The importance of this game to me is...… We will see what type of team we really have, what kind of coaching staff we have.

Yes we played terrible on offense for a variety of reasons. I for one think we are missing Kelly and Doyle's blocking. We need to learn from Sunday's  performance, correct it and come out and play Hard. Correct the obvious mistakes, get better and smarter.

Or they can come out and stink up the place. We are supposed to be building a team with "BALLS". no more finesse. We will know come this Sunday night

    I don't like it either.

These guys are HORRIBLE, they seem to rattle on and on just to here their heads rattle. Witton may be the worst of the three. They hired the wrong Cowboy, I really enjoy Tony Romo, I think he shares some very insightful information. I actually muted the broadcast and just watched  the game.

You are just now thinking  of thanking JM.  That ship sailed more than 10 weeks ago. As far as DeGugglielmo and Eberus goes your selling Ballards  part in these hires way short., and Frank had to bless these hires after he arrived. We are very LUCKY too have a man of FR's integrity, knowledge and football experience as our head Coach. It is easy to see how much the Football Community respects him too...……. Just Sayin

It's probably Ballard's preferred D system. One where corners are zone corners and get paid much less than press man corners.

JM was probably told pick a DC that uses a cover 2 zone.

I have been watching Alabama play and they keep talking about their secondary is using a "match up Zone" looks very interesting and effective. Is this something that would be successful at the pro level. There just has to be something better than our CB's lining up 10 ft away from the receiver.

As mentioned by other posts...I would say the first half was a success, despite the 3-5 record.  We are on the right path and moving in the right direction...something I haven't been able to say or think for the past 3 years.

One thing that I do not see anyone talking about is our Coaching staff. Not only are they reeallly coaching up our young players. But they are making 2nd half adjustments that are on the money. The staff and the players are getting better every week. It is fun to watch the Colts again

'Cuz he's a rolling ball of butcher knives...

Maybe he could find a job in a butcher shop somewhere,,,,, He has done nothing to help the Colts, but take up a roster spot that could be used for a promising young back that knows how to stay drug free

"Head coach Frank Reich today said defensive tackle/end Denico Autry, tight end Jack Doyle, safety Clayton Geathers, wide receiver Ryan Grant and running back Robert Turbin have all been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 7 matchup."

I still do not understand why Robert Turbin is still on our roster??????

  11. I have been of the opinion that we need to make Braden Smith our RT. He is young, talented and available. I thought at least he looked promising in pre-season. I think it would lead to some consistency that we have not had in a long time. And with a veteran RG to help shoe him the ropes I think it would work

  12. I am confused about the colts Offensive Line. This has been a long, ongoing problem. It just does not make sense to me that in the last 4-5 years we have went through it seems 40-50 potential lineman and can not find 5 men to protect our QB, can not open up a hole/running lane for our RB's. So we continue to be one of the most QB sacks allowed,  way to many hurries  and an ineffective running game.

Are we really that bad at finding talent, or are we coaching the wrong way. I hear a lot about Zone blocking schemes, not sure I understand it is that what we are using? What are other successful teams using? I am concerned that this Oline coach has been fired by at least 3 teams in the last 5yrs.

What are you guys/gals thinking? I was very optimistic before pre-season, but I am not feeling all warm and fuzzy right now, especially after watching our back-up LT just standing there not blocking anyone and letting Andrew Luck get killed.

    Takeaways:

Colts having nothing at WR without Hilton.  Guys weren’t getting open which resulted in Luck trying to force it or hold the ball too long.

Both tackle spots are a major issue.  ACs return should help this.

The starting defense was better but still a concern

They have to find a new return man.

    Brissett is good

Wilkins has been good but hated to see him fumble even on the TD.

Adam still has one heck of a leg

Pascal impressed me at WR but it was late in the game.  I wonder if we will see him earlier in the games based on this.

something to watch Simon was still playing in the fourth quarter not normally a good sign if you are a vet but he’s had a great camp so might have just been a lack of bodies issue or something.

RBs are dropping like flys,  Ferguson got hurt tonight.

look for some zone read in the Colts offense this year.

I liked to see the Colts ripping the ball out all over the place tonight.

Farley played well and continues to be an underrated player.

ridgeway and Leonard continue to impress.

    i miss bob lamey

Why is Ferguson on the roster, He is hurt all the time, and when he isn't he is completely ineffective.  It has been the same scenario for 2-3yrs.
