This is hilarious. Props to Irsay. I'm sure he didn't intend for it to end up on the front page of every sports site (credible or not) including our local news, FFS! I actually can't even see the Polians being angry with this. The entire FO is more then likely having a laugh at the medias expense. I expect to see this all over ESPN daytime TV tomorrow.
Surely it couldn't be that difficult to verify Irsay's location.

Mr. Smitto definitely is a glutton for punishment, no matter how many times reality slaps him in the face, he still must be smacked again in order to believe what his eyes are telling him. Its pretty bad when you can make John Beck looks like Joe Montana.
I thought he looked more like Steve Young, personally. The way he was getting around and throwing on the move.

I thought the only teams left in the race for Nnamdi were the 49ers and Jets now that the Texans are out. I haven't heard anything about the Bucs offering him something.
Tampa put a big bid on him but it looks like he's chosen the Jets.

Actually it did. His mouth was one of the initial causes for friction between the players and owners in the early goings. So much for “He doesn’t shoot his mouth off, he treats people with respect and everyone likes him."

I just don't see this as such a big deal. After a field goal they're taking a TV timeout. After a touchdown, unless it's a score that deservedly calls for review, it's going to be done before the extra point unit is even in place. Then we're taking a TV timeout followed by a kick-off and another TV timeout.

He's obviously made a choice. He loves the game and wants to play.. So he's choosing to believe something that is likely wrong to make himself feel better about his choice. Don't people do this all the time in life? I have to believe he's been told and knows the reality of things. He can't do what he does scared of what could happen. He's just doing what he feels he needs to do to get on with his career and telling himself what he needs to hear. He's got educated medical people all around him.
Also, just because he made those comments doesn't mean he and the medical staff wont do everything they can to prevent future concussions (Equipment, preparations, ect.)

Painter stays this year. There's no way around that with Manning's situation. But with Collins signing a 2 year deal, depending on what we do in the draft.. I could easily see this being Painters last year.
