UCLA CB Sheldon Price is visiting the Colts on Wednesday.
Price is a press man corner that has also been worked out by the Colts. Price is likely a third day target but has upside due to his measurables and frame. The Colts have certainly shown interest in the position.
Don't know much about him but to have a visit and a workout, we must like the kid
-
I think DHB has a ton of upside, so why sigh him to a 1 year deal. If he has a great year then we will have to fork out big money to keep him.
If we were to sign him to a 3 or 4 year deal and he doesn't pan out then we cut him.
I know Grigson is smarter then me, what am I missing?

We now have mock schedules? The Ravens and O's never resolved their schedule conflict so I think the NFL is making the Ravens schedule the Thursday opener on the road. Looking at the Ravens road opponents, they'll probably open at Den so Indy would probably get Den mid-season like Colts/Pats of of past.
I usually predict the schedule over at ColtPower - so I'll post it here as well. This would be an nice schedule that would give us a chance for a fast start before the bye, a tough 5 game mid-season stretch, then a chance for a strong finish in the remaining 7 games:
9/8 Jaguars 1pm CBS
9/15 @ AZ 4:05pm CBS
9/22 @ Chiefs 1pm CBS
9/29 Titans 1pm CBS
10/6 BYE
10/13 @ 49ers 8:30pm NBC
10/21 Seahawks 8:30pm ESPN
10/28 @ Bengals 1pm CBS
11/3 Broncos 8:30pm NBC
11/10 @ Texans 1pm CBS
11/17 Raiders 1pm CBS
11/24 @ Chargers 4:25pm CBS
12/1 Dolphins 1pm CBS
12/5 @ Titans 8:30pm NFLN
12/15 Rams 1pm FOX
12/22 Texans 4:25pm CBS
12/29 @ Jaguars 1pm CBS

-
Why is no one talking need at the Center?
-
I am very surprised he hasn't been targeted by more 4-3 team. In the right system I still think he can be a monster for another 2 or 3 years
-
We already have 2 fast little short guys in TY and Brazil. Hopkins can line up on the outsideI like Deandre Hopkins and Keenan Allen as possible wr options.
BUT it's something about Tavon Austin that makes me believe he can be the biggest steal in the entire draft! He just has Game Breaker all over him in my eyes.
-
I will take him over Landry
-
After these pick ups today. I think we will draft deandra Hopkins in the first round
-
The one or two times he was aloud to blitz in the tampa 2 defense He always seemed like he was always in the backfield
-
I havn't heard it anywhere but what about bringing wheeler back as a OLB. He would be a lot cheaper option and always thought he would be good in this type of Defence

stroke your ego some more pleaseI did not want to like this, but i did anyway! Yes some of us are on an internet forum, but you know who knows football and who does not. We can tell sometimes from the first post.
Some of us played football and have coached football, and are now at level of study mode/knowledge level to where if we had connections...we could be an assistant coach at the various levels of football.
I would rather have one bad snap from Shipley than the head bobbing Satele who telegraphs pass plays on a consistent basis. I also like seeing a center hold his ground and PUSH instead of being blown into the backfield play after play. If Satele was injured as some say he was, he should not have played. Shipley was 'ticked' when he had to come out of the game. Shipley is BETTER than Saturday was in his first 2 years and I love Jeff Saturday!
I read an article somewhere today that said it was possible INDY was regretting Satele's 3 year deal...and we may actually cut him if a trade is not done. (My hopes is for a trade.)
Anyone on the forum who knows offensive line play needs to watch DVD of both Shipley and Satele, and see how much more fluid the line play was. One thing is for sure, if we draft a center with all of our real needs.....I will FREAKING FLIP!
:faint:

Banks ran much better in his pro day. The kid looks so much better then trufant on tape. The combine isn't everything
-
If he plays like Bob Sanders he will People that small that fly around and hit like that in the NFL will get hurtWell Thomas doesn't have an injury history so things are looking up. But we all saw that with Ijalana too
-
Would you take a Bob Sanders in the 3rd round. Great player but will be hurt a lot
Syracuse S Shamarko Thomas drew a comparison to Bob Sanders from NFL Network's Mike Mayock.
When asked about Thomas' Combine performance, Mayock said "he looked like Bob Sanders to me, and he did on tape.... he is a missile, he gets after the run, but his numbers at the Combine were phenomenal." Mayock went on to acknowledge that Thomas is a bit tight and short, but sees the safety as a late second- to mid third-round pick.

I got excited to think Cooper could fall to use. Then we leave him on the board?
NO THANK YOU
-
I have been in love with Jonathan Cooper for the last 3 months. He is now projected as a top 15 guy so I don't think we have a shot with him. After watching some more videos and doing so reading I think Menelik Watson is going to be a great pick.
He has only been playing football for a couple years but has a perfect body for it. He also has great feet and would be a great fit on our line
I know this isn't a popular pick but wanted to get everyones thoughts on him
-
You still have to go BPA. I have us going CB in the first, like several others on here.
I have us taking Cooper or Banks in the first round now.
But if we are able to sign Williams and one of the 2 big OG
I think we can go more toward somebody like Marcus Hunt
-
If we sign a top notch OG,CB and a pass rusher before the draft.
Will that change your 1st round draft pick?

he Charlotte Observer's Joe Person says "all indications I've received are" that the Panthers will release CB Chris Gamble.
"They've kind of cut bait. I've not heard any talk about anything other than a straight cut," said Person. Gamble, 30 next Month, will not be offered a pay cut, and his current cap number sits at $10.95 million, third-highest on the team. He's likely to enter a deep free-agent corner market, so Gamble could be a bargain for some team.
We might be looking to trade up

Alabama CB Dee Milliner is visiting the Colts on Wednesday.
It is an interesting visit, since the Colts don't pick until No. 24. The team has Vontae Davis, Darius Butler, and Greg Toler, but if Milliner last beyond pick No. 10, a variety of teams could trade up for his services. Keep in mind the depth at the position, and Milliner does not specialize in a specific trait like Xavier Rhodes.
