    1) Grammar can be your friend.  You should try it.

    2) This take is not very fresh.

    3) If you are surprised with the inability to rush the passer, then you have not been paying attention.

    4) You asked for thoughts.  This will be an issue that really can't be and won't be addressed until the off season.

I, along with everyone else (I'm sure) are sick and tired of seeing this team come out flat, and intentionally try to be a team that that are not. Originally I thought it was Pep, not making offensive game plans that played to our strengths, but it all seems like too much of a coincidence that Chud is having the same problems. We are not a smash mouth football team, we don't have the personnel for it, and we will not have the personnel for a LONG time with Grigson drafting. Part of me thinks that the coaches show the 2013 game footage against SF every week, saying this is who we want to be.

You look at other teams in the NFL, and they are going out there and mixing things up, and playing to the strengths of their team, and even winning tough games with backup players, but we continually fail to look prepared, and continually execute the wrong game plan, while falling behind early, only for that light bulb moment going off when it's almost too late.

I think the entire organization of coaches and front office that surround this football team are much too soft. I feel like no one is held accountable for their mistakes, and it's one of those "we'll get em next week X Player, don't worry about it, just focus on the next one" I always go back to it, that when Reggie signed with the Patriots he left shortly thereafter because he wasn't having "fun" and it was too much like a business. That has always stood out to me as a HUGE red flag. I liken this to the SF 49ers pre and post Harbaugh, that is what a winning culture and a good coach can do, that team missed the playoffs 8 years in a row, Harbaugh came in, they were 6-10 in the previous season (Where the Colts are headed) the next season they went 13-3 and went to the conference championship team. next year 11-4-1 and Superbowl, Next year 12-4 and NFL title game, The next season they went 8-8 and I believe it was really the GM who messed up here, having a Grigson like run in FA, and an exposed QB. and they have fallen into the abyss without him ever since. The moral of the story, is that some teams bring in those guys with that winning culture, something the Colts could use a little bit of.

Shhhhh.  They all gettin' paid, sir.  Don't upset their little gravy train.

  3. I know it's long ago, but I remember a Colts team that had a bottom rung defense and very good offense, that was blown out in a late season game or two. Then, inexplicably, things clicked.  Stranger things have happened.  <putting away my "shoe" glasses now>

I haven't spent the time needed to go out and see who will be available because that's not my job, but for HC, I'm sure there are candidates out there that I think could do a better job than Pagano. I think we can all agree Pagano is not suited to be a HC. He has a team full of undisciplined players who don't do their jobs (Tackling, blocking assignments, dropped passes, studying opponents on tape, etc.).

Grigson actually hasn't been as bad as Pagano at his job. Yes he has had some bad free agent signings, and horrible draft picks. But he also has had some quality players drafted like Geathers, Green, Kelly, Haeg, Moncrief, Mewhort, among others).

But Pagano seems to not prepare players for each game properly. As a HC you have to study your opponent and limit what they do best. Pagano's players seem to be lost on the field and don't play inspired football until the 4th quarter.

Perhaps when I have some time this week I'll look through the names that could be made available and would be quality HC candidates. One name I would love having is Tom Herman from Houston.

Pagano's methodology may be related to his experience with cancer.  A life-altering experience like that tends to make a person more mellow and willing to realize each day is precious, so -- "take it easy, stop and smell the roses."  An NFL head coach needs to be a butt-kicking, bridge-burning,take no prisoners  ******* who DEMANDS his players "do their jobs."

I respect everybody's opinions, this is why I asked because I wanted to see how other Colts fans felt. My friends have been bashing "the pick" since last year's draft and I keep telling them that he is going to be good, just give it time. This year everybody gave me a hard time for drafting Dorsett in fantasy (with my last pick). I am just expecting to much out of him I reckon. As much as Luck throws the ball I was just expecting more targets going his way and was curious what others thought. I know we've got other targets for luck to throw to, but Dorsett has a good skill set and should be utilized more IMO.

Doyle is a gamer, a hard worker, a guy I want Grigson to extend before the end of this season. If you find a good one, keep it, he will be cheaper to extend right now than later, any team could beat the qualifying offer he is playing on right now.

Yep.  A veritable rolling ball of butcher-knives.

Because the odds of getting that call are probably lower than the odds of throwing an interception and the interception odds are probably greater than the odds of getting a first down with two plays to get 40 yards and getting no call

    Hmm.. Very odd, indeed.

And he is likely mentally feeling the strain of them having to go gear up to go to London now which isn't down the street lol. And playing the Jags is divisional and it's extra pressure.

Yep...it's going to be tough flying on a charter with above First Class service, then being whisked to the hotel in a luxury coach.  Granted it's 8 hours or so...but - they'll suffer it just fine.  LOL  :^)
