  1. I don't see how some fans are so delusional and closed minded that they can criticize other fans for speaking the truth and being realistic.  Just because you are realistic and don't think everything about the Colts is amazing and wonderful doesn't mean you are any less of a fan of this team.  This performance is horrible, chances are the Colts won't be making a comeback and anyone that thinks similarly is not less of a fan.

  2. You've said enough. Any receiver that wouldn't wanna come play with Andrew needs their head examined. He is clearly the future of the nfl. Just the fact that Andrew put Reggie's injury on himself is impressive... Unfortunate but impressive. He's young, the pocket was collapsing and he had to get rid of it quick. Injuries happen. Luck is not to blame.

Than you disagree with Andrew Luck.  I respect Luck enough that I take what he says as an honest assessment. If you don't want to believe him than that is your choice.  Anyway, this is getting severely off topic.  I'm finished, I would love to see the team rally around this injury and win a super bowl but the question was how far do you think that this team can go and I feel that this team can still be good and win the division and get into the playoffs.  This will not be anywhere near as devastating as the Manning injury and this is still a good team even without Wayne.

  3. that is just plain stupid.  you seriously think a FA wr this off season would hold it against Luck that he threw a pass a little short when dodging a defender and throwing over another and the WR got a freak injury??   i agree with a lot of other things you said but this was just WAY too far.

To disagree with me is to disagree with Luck himself. Andrew Luck took responsibility, watch the post-game interview.  If anyone needs to step up the rest of the season its not our wide receiver corps its him. He needs to show leadership and become a quarterback that receivers will want to come play for.  Of course this is assuming that 87 doesn't come back next season. He very well could be back and if he is than this is a moot point and the Colts will be superbowl contenders again especially without the injuries that the team has suffered this year. I'm simply making the case that IF Wayne doesn't come back Luck has to show through the remainder of this season that he has the leadership and skill to make players from other teams want to come play for him.  I also think it was incredibly admirable that Luck took responsibility and shows his true character.

  4. We are not even halfway through the season. I would hold off giving up on our team... no one even knows what actions the will take, and someone unexpected could step up big.

Reggie Wayne was/is an amazing and incredible player. To think that anyone could "step up" and replace him is doing a huge disservice to someone that's been a rock for this Colts offense.  I know it is difficult to accept but Wayne is irreplacable.  Please don't take that as the rest of our receivers are garbage because they aren't, I think several are very good but no one has anywhere near the talent or skill of 87 and no one is going magically step-up become as good as 87. I also don't feel that it's giving up on the team to say that they are no longer superbowl contenders. I know we can end this season with a play-off birth and win our division and I think that is success just by itself.

  5. The Colts cannot possibly replace 87 and without 87 the Colts have zero chance of going far into the playoffs. That said, on a positive note the AFC South is not a strong division so there's a good chance that the Colts, especially with a much easier second half of a season, can win their division. I feel that winning the division and then making an early exit in the playoffs is the most likely scenario. Now on to future years  there's a decent chance the Colts will never see 87 play again.  I know that is difficult to accept for many die-hard Colts fans but that is the truth.  There is no way to replace Wayne anytime soon so I along with many here will be praying for him to be back in uniform next season.  If he isn't however than I feel Pagano and Grigson can make the adjustments to not become the next Jaguars or see such a severe drop off as when they lost Manning. That said they will not win a superbowl for the forseeable future maybe not even in this era without a top tier wide reciever like Wayne.  So in summary, the loss of Wayne won't make the Colts into a horrible team it will just downgrade the Colts from a great team to a decent or at best good team. A team that still has a chance to make the playoffs and win their division but a team with no chance to go far into the playoffs. And let's not forget why Wayne is injured, as Luck said in the post-game interview it was his fault. He made a bad pass that Wayne tore his ACL trying to get to.  It is Andrew Luck's fault the Colts lost Reggie Wayne.  I feel that's important to keep in mind and may effect who the Colts can acquire in the future if Wayne is not back next season.

  6. If they can put a defense together it wil be a lot less than 4-6 yrs,the offense will improve quickly after they quit making the rookie mistakes.

Oh, I hope you are right and that would be awesome. I just don't want to get my expectations up. It doesn't honestly matter how long it takes for me, I just hope we are able to say the Colts are one of the best teams in the NFL again like they were under Manning.

  7. I honestly don't think you can say the Colts are fine unless you are fine with being a mediocre team. If the Colts play the Patriots again this season than it will just be a repeat of this. This team and Luck will get better though, in 4-6 years I really think the Colts will once again be able to say that they are a good team. I mean just look at how much improvement there has been between last season and this one.

  8. Yeah, this is a pretty humiliating and embarassing day to be a Colts fan. The Patriots are a tier 1 team and the Colts just aren't. Hopefully in 4-6 years that will change though, Luck and this team will get better and the Colts will once again be able to legitimately say they are as good as the Patriots. Until that point it's fun to see that Manning hasn't lost any stride and to be a Broncos fan.
