The Duron Carter hype is ridiculous. He's less proven than Vincent Brown.
Colts are simply giving a CFL player a chance. Let's see what he makes of it.

Andre Johnson is old. There is a reason Houston was ok letting him go. Moncrief is still raw. Duron Carter...who cares...totally unproven.
Dorset looks like a stud. Grigs obviously felt he was by far BPA. I'm excited about this guy.

Jordan Phillips, or anyone else that gives us size/power on the d line. Also wouldn't be upset if we took Denzel Perryman.
-
I digressed, but the point I wanted to make is that more focus on TY gets me very excited about Moncriefs potential impact on the game...and I can't say the same about Waynes

I'm still scratching my head about the Reggie situation. Why is he practicing/playing through these injuries if its the root cause of his sub par performance lately? These reports and comments from Pagano just don't make any sense. Moncrief is torching dbs and the more experience he gets before the playoffs the better. I understand his route tree doesn't compare to Reggie, but c'mon, 87 has not looked himself at all for a while.

Very nice.. the trich bashing is exhausted out.. its surely doesnt help his confidence or make he play better.. the boos from the crowd on sunday completely through me of guard.. i thought the colts organization and fans were some of the most classiest and humble fans. But that was completely uncalled for.. i personally dont think any player on a team should be booed by his own fans no matter how bad his performance may be.. We as fans should have trust in our coaching staff to make the right move. Whenever or however long it may take.
I personally feel the booing was well deserved and long overdue (even though I didn't join in at the game). The fan base has a right to voice their displeasure and the coaches/mgmt need to quit being so stubborn. The T Rich experiment has gone on way too long. He simply hasn't earned his touches and that is not how pro football should work.

I'm all for bringing in Incognito and assigning him to toughen up Fleener.

I always blame the offensive line when a RB isn't doing well. Cause it's not about the RB, it's about the offensive line. Why? Cause EVERYTHING starts up front!!!
Take for example the 49ers. How is it that Kendall Hunter, LaMicheal James, & Dixon can get positive yards just like Frank Gore to keep their running game going? Because they have a DOMINATE offensive line!
When you get a line, we could pick ANYONE to run behind it & they'll produce. We could even pick some of you guys of this forum to run behind a good offensive line & you'll do good! Stop bashing Trent Richardson for what's really Satele & McGlynn's fault!!!!
Hilarious post. This is the exact reason why most people don't like the T-Rich trade. The run game does start with the line, and that allows us to plug in a much cheaper running back. Not a guy that barely averages 3 ypc and costs a first round pick. We saw last year a rookie 5th round pick in Ballard be just as successful.
The colts biggest need is improving the O-Line, which we could have done with a first round pick...either through a trade or a draft.

I disagree that Whalen is like Blair White.
If given a chance, I think he could be similar to Stokely or Welker.
Perhaps his long awaited chance may soon come? Or perhaps not?
Please stop with this Whalen nonsense. Please, for the love of god it has to stop.

Why not trade Trent Richardson for Josh Gordon? That would be a steal.

For the life of me I can't see why people, especially colts fans, have problems with our owner. Hes a great father to his daughters and the players love him. He is very passionate about the team and the city. He hires the best people to make decisions. He puts out a great product. The one thing that makes me cringe is when people act like he is just an * that inherited a franchise. An * at the top does not produce the type of success we've enjoyed.
I also respect that he is a public figure not afraid to speak what is on his mind.
-
I would love to bring in Doug Baldwin if we could get a decent deal. He's a very solid player in my opinion, and he may be expendable for the seahawks with Percy coming back.
-
I'd say his ceiling is high.
-
Containing has been a little bit of a problem for us but give credit to Seattle O. Wilson and Lynch have amazing field vision and always seem to create an opening. Overall I'd say our defensive scheme worked out pretty well today.
-
He did have a great diving tackle from behind on Wilson to prevent a first down. Waldens doing alright, he is contributing to our crazy good red zone D.
-
I'm hoping he can be the go-to te everyone wants him to be, but I'm still not sold.
He still has a ways to go with improving his overall field awareness, blocking, and catching the ball in traffic. Although the Miami game he did show a positive step for the latter with that TD catch called back by penalty.

Plays like that are what Donald Brown can give us. He has a gear that not many running backs have. It amazes me why he has so many haters, the guy can help us a lot if we use him right.
-
I'd give him another chance but I dont know all the inside information on him. Either way I dont see this as too big a loss...even though he definitely showed potential at Oregon.
-
There has got to be a better option somewhere out there better than Griff. He a PS player at best.
Somewhat off topic but is anyone watching the Rice-A&M game? This Rice WR Jordan Taylor is something else. Guy is 6'5 and has excellent timing/instincts/hands. He's someone I hope we'd be looking at very closely next draft, especially if the DHB experiment doesn't work out.

Worried? More like trembling with fear and waking up with night sweats from anxiety.

yes, we have established i implied that it bothered me a little that he didnt seem bothered at all that he has had a very bad preseason so far... but that was when we were talking. i was having another convo with mjsimans (unless you are the same person). mjsimans, who i quoted so it would be very obvious who i was talking to, keeps stating i wanted Fleener to cry and whatever else... that is a bad assumption. how many times can i say the same thing before you guys just take what i am saying for exactly what i am saying?
i pointed out he was smiling and laughing.
it is not a big deal, but after playing like crap so far, i would have rather him look like he is taking it more serious.
i dont want him to cry.
i know he could have lost a leg and that would be worse.
i dont know why we are still talking about it.
that sums it up i think. good talk, im done.
Well said and I completely agree with you. I like to see people take the game serious and with passion whether it's practice or preseason. Who knows why Fleener was laughing it up at that moment, but it's not a good perception after his performance. It's not too big a deal but that is a key thing I've noticed in what separates the great ones.
I've always admired guys like Manning and Brady because if they screw up it's completely obvious how p*d they are. You never see people like that smiling on the sidelines after a bad day.

No. He showed me why he was drafted in the 1st round, and he also showed that he is a rookie.
-
So,he is timid because he was stupid and didn't turn around for the ball? I've seen that many times in the nfl. Dumb, but it happens.
Defenders hack at the ball on anyone. I guarantee you the did to Adrian Peterson early in his career...and it wasn't because AD lacked toughness.
He didn't miss this game and he knee sprain sounds fairly minor. By your standards Gronk is a total wuss bag.
I hope Coby appreciates how many excuses you make for him.

Normally not a huge fan of Gruden and his take on players, but he made some great points in that segment. I feel he has a tendency to over-glorify, but I hope he's right about DJ. Really like the pick and the trade we managed with Tampa.
Hoping colts help either side of the line with 109
