We have to win Monday night.

Technically no. I personally feel it's a must win game, but if we lose tonight and win next week, both teams would be 6-7. But yeah, it's basically a must win as far as the team gelling at the end of the year when you want to play your best.

Tolzien might be alright with the starters as long as we don't put the whole game on his back. Every unit has to do their part in helping him. Watched some of the Baltimore and Cincy preseason games. He plays within the scheme and I liked how in sync he is with his footwork and the timing of the throw. Goes through all his progressions and gets the ball out quickly is what I noticed. Knows what hes doing. We just have to support the guy. Ain't saying we will win but I want Pitt to know we ain't giving them our heads in a platter.

    Me:

I basically agree. Listen, I don't feel great about our chances, but I'm not going to be a Debbie downer and give up even before the game starts. Just when you think a team has no chance, they rally and come together.

Last week, everybody in the world was picking the Titans because they dismantled the Packers. Look what happened. If our D comes out and plays good and the O can play well within Scott's abilities, who knows. Pitt is not an unstoppable force this year. Their D is a bit suspect, and we should have some scoring opportunities.

If I've learned anything through the years of watching football, it's that football is weird. It would not shock me to see Tolzien put up 4 TDs, pull out a freak win, and for everyone on the forum to be questioning if Luck is overrated. Pittsburgh will not have much film on the guy, and that plays to our advantage.

Stranger things have happened than for a career backup QB to come in and beat a .500 team at home.

    Well said.

  4. From Foxsports: "Davis was scheduled to meet with an independent neurologist on Saturday in hopes that he could be cleared for Sunday's game against the Packers. Colts coach Chuck Pagano told reporters he hopes Davis will be cleared: “He will go through the trainers (Friday afternoon) and do the second to the last phase of the protocol (with pads on). If he gets through that clean, which we anticipate, he will see an independent (neurologist on Saturday) and hopefully be cleared and be ready to go.” — Kevin Bowen, Colts.com

    Please, play Vontae.

What was decent about that defense? We had worse parts then than we do now..On offense The line we had was bad, we could barely run the football and Reggie was the best receiver. We have a better group of receivers now and I think I will take Gore over Donald Brown.

I think that 2012 team had a bit more fight in them due to the Chuck Strong movement. And to be honest with you Green Bay looks similar too. It's all Aaron Rogers and no running game just like it was in 2012. Defensive pieces for them look about the same too. Packers might be playing worse defense now than they were then. Theyve given up a number of points. Game is just being played in Lambeau.

Everything you said may be true. Oh well. I don't debate any more.

This forum is the definition of bi-polar. Highest high after a win, and lowest low after a loss.

This team still looks like garbage on defense and there isn't any sugar coating that.

I disagree. There are people on here that are down after a win, and really up after a loss. Get over it, it's human nature. Should everyone be just like you? It would be pretty boring.

As far as the defense, yeah they look horrible. Oh well. I don't know about you, but my life keeps going on and I have to go to both of my jobs tomorrow. Whether the Colts win or lose, my life stays the same........ Go Colts!

I was one of those people who didn't think TY was a true number one receiver.  I didn't think he had the physicality or route running to overcome his size, like Steve Smith or Marvin.  However, he is proving me wrong week after week.

Yeah, it would be interesting to dig through the archives and see what you said about TY a couple years back. Not just you though. A lot of people didn't think he would become what he is today. You're not alone. I was always a wait and see type of fan.

    cant argue with trools.

I assume you meant trolls, unless there's a new word combining tool/trolls lol. You may have started something. Anyway, I've found the net lately to be filled with a lot of hate and dislike. That stems from the fact that people feel "anonymous" when online, and there are no repercussions for their actions. Sad.

Trust me, most people would never say some of the stuff they say, to my face. I'm a bodybuilder and can take care of myself. The net gives them balls they wish they really had.

The ideal is that we lose so many games, Grigson won't even be around to make the next pick.  Higher draft slot and the chances of firing Pagano and Grigson are much higher.

You make a fair point, but I just really hate losing, and so do the players. My guess is that we're probably stuck with Grigson/Pagano for a while. But I still think Grigs has more to do with it than Pags.

I'm not even worried about the division right now. I just want to play well next week and get a win against the Chiefs. One game at a time!

Well said krunkster. Too many people get their panties in a bunch over this. Let's enjoy a win and move on.

We could, but tbh is it worth it? To win and get absolutely crushed in the postseason?

To me as a fan? Yes. Absolutely. The is a 0% chance of winning the Super Bowl if you don't make the playoffs. (look it up)

Am I thinking the Colts are good and can easily beat teams? No. But I remember a Colts team in '95 who had NO SHOT of even sniffing the playoffs, let alone making it to the AFC Championship game. Miracles happen from time to time, and as a fan, all I can do is hope.

But I'm certainly not going to spend every waking moment complaining if they fall short. I'll leave that to y'all. I'm trying to have a normal life.

Actually I thought those referees were truly terrible! Calling flags on the smallest little things Glad we overcame!

I know. What was the deal with Street's catch and spike? The ball hit the ground and immediately went into the ref's arms. How is that delay of game? I could see if the ball went flying off somewhere.

It's funny how people predict the team to lose and when we win they dont have enough character to even celebrate the win. They come right back in here still taking swipes at the team. I ain't saying no names but if that's you then you're pitiful!

Some people aren't happy unless they're unhappy. If you know what I mean. They probably aren't happy people in general. The world is full of them.......
