freeney has said he WILL play, tho admits he is not 100%

different era today then when peyton was in the league. 4,000 yds was a big deal then. three qbs threw for over 5,000 last year.
that said, andrew has exceeded my expectations to this point. looking forward to see what he has in store for us next.

did anyone just see tony dungy on NBC Football fist pump rodney harrison? he did so right after proclaiming "luck will win indy a championship."
rodney's expression was prices less..
please post video if found

not good news, but isnt a deal breaker for sunday..
if our offense stays in that "aggressive" mind-set for 60 minutes i could see indy staying within a score or two the whole game
keep it close and anything can happen

I still can't for the life of me understand how Linkenbach is getting to start, and we release Trai Essex. What is going on?

"Hi, my name is Ben, and I happen to follow Brad Wells on twitter."
"Hi Ben" (crowd responds)
I don't know why I do this. I guess it was just my severe interest in the catastrophe of a season we experienced last year and the circumstances that followed. This lead to daily rumors of who's-who up and dow the organizational totem pole. I couldn't resist my desire to keep a close eye on all colts related tweeters in attempt to get insight in to the new direction of the entire franchise.
Brad Wells happens to be one of those that I chose to follow.
Now, I enjoy Brad's opinion from time to time (I mean he writes about my team so he already has my interest), but as this previous offseason and early regular season have taken place my infuriation and intolerance with Brad Wells' comments have grown like that man vs food-guy's waist line..
His comments are often negative, and typically come off as cynical. He defends his comments as "accurately unbiased" as opposed to "fan-based," but if you follow him you realize thats just a smoke screen for his **** parade on what is a YOUNG, VERY PROMISING, TEAM.
Notice how I also emphasized "young" as well? Just because I focus on the positives doesn't mean I ignore the casualties of having a "young" team. Colts aren't great, and currently they're not even that good, but they're RAW, and they have PASSION. They're gonna be mistake-prone, but they're gonna play with ENERGY... And as this team continues to evolve the skill catches up with the mental make-up..
So in the mean-time, Brad, sit your punk-*** down, sign out of twitter, and enjoy the "Building of the Monster" as it matures into something special..

All joking aside,
I think colts have a great opportunity to shock the Pack.. I see the bye week aiding the return of some key pieces on both sides of the ball.
Reitz, Freeney, Angerer, Davis all healthy and ready to go will be a HUGE lift.
I see Luck maintaining his 58% comp, 300 yds 2 TD, Int, and late drive heroics
Colts 26-22 Pack

like the pick up.. more CB's the better in my opinion... Gotta think Pagano, a guy with soooo much experience coaching up some DBs has a good chance of getting the most out of what Butler has to offer
Cutting Essex is mute... I have a feeling we will be shuffling OL via wavier wire/FA all season long

Shoulda signed Greg Salas
-
27-25 Colts
Luck: 28-36, 301 yds 3 TD, INT, 18 yds rush
Scobee: 6/6 FG, 2 +60yd FG

well if collie doesnt get on the field he wont be a colt much longer... leaving a vacancy at WR

Greg Salas was just released by New England after the Patriots signed Kellen Winslow Jr and resigned Dion Branch.
http://musketfire.com/2012/09/19/new-england-patriots-release-greg-salas/
I find this somewhat surprising given that New England gave up a draft pick in exchange for Salas, especially since Josh Mcdaniels was the one who drafted him in the 5th rnd (former HC of Rams, current OC for Patriots).
At 6'1'' 210 lbs. 4.5 40-time, Salas can be a large target for Luck who runs crisp routes. He is also an imposing player with the ball in his hands, with YAC being a forte of his.
I wanted the Colts to draft him last year (285 rec, 4,345 yds, 26 TD in NCAA) so I'm hoping we take a flyer on him this time around.
I could see Salas becoming a key piece to our offensive attack. Any one else agree with me?

whatever john clayton says... the exact opposite is the truth

I was expecting to be hearing these things said about TY Hilton. Nice to see another young WR proving himself via work ethic and dedication.

We actually have the most cap space of any team in 2013 with $43 million in free cap...
With the new minimum cap enforcement colts will be required to spend, spend, spend $$$$
Look for our defense to be "fixed," and any oline issues to be solved by 2013...
the draft next year will become "luxury" picks
-
didnt winston justice give up 7 sacks in a game against NY Giants his rookie year??? SEVEN sacks... in ONE game... so i have my reservations...
But overal i do love that our line is developing an attitude.. Satele and Mcglyn will be great for us..
Hayworth Hicks i think is a sleeper.. I live in Iowa so i saw him play many times for Iowa St.. I think he woulda been drafted but was overlooked, largely, due to playing next to an all-american in Osemele (drafted in 2nd rd by Bal)
Cant wait to see what happens!

12-4 whoever the best available is that falls to pick # 32.
yup
-
He signed with the Bucs.
darnit
-
someone said something about leonard johnson, cb out of iowa state..
can anyone confirm???
if true, great pick up. Iowa state had solid defense, tops in the big 12 and he was defensive captain.
either was 1st team or 2nd team all big 12
shut down solid receivers like broyles, blackmon, and others
-
TE is easily the most glaring need. Hope its fleener at #34, but willing to move up 5 spots to grab him. Otherwise Egnew out of missouri would be a great steal in the 5th rnd. He reminds me of a "fred davis" type... which i guess could leave him playing 12 games a season.
-
there are too many other good cb prospects without red flags. Not saying Jenkins would be a bad pick, but ill be happier if a different DB's name is called when we're on the clock come draft day.

very happy hes not being traded

i agree with all who want to see more RB screens..
id also like to see our TE in motion more often. try to confuse the defense. i remember a play against the jets were fleener was in motion on play involving misdirection. ended up with a 1st down on 3rd and 7.
