  1. Colts have the speedsters and decent ones, need new offensive line 1st off priority to give A.Luck time to throw to the speedsters, and who really beat the Colts against the Ravens, ya A.Boldin that's who, he a brute of a wide out and battled physically to catch the balls and fought to catch that TD pass against D.Butler, FA Bowe is almost like A.Boldin and he might be a possiblity because we got the speedsters and now need a great o-line 1st priority then go after a big wide out target like a A.Boldin size in FA or later rounds of the draft... All J.Flacco had to do was throw the ball anywhere close to Anquan Boldin an he got it and even though I'm a Colts fan it was some great catches and now looking back he wanted it more and that's what did it and I want a guy like him, like that type of WR, and need that here in Indy for the Colts ;}

    Go Colts!!!!!

Ps. 2 pre-draft predictions from so called experts have the Colts taking a CB Xavier Rhodes at 24th and the other a DT Jonathan Hankins at 24th, guess some think the o-line will be just fine and or get some in free agency, hummmmm????? We shall see!!!!!

  2. It wasn't meant to say it was the "SAME" it's very different, it's a fad/gimmick "LIKE" the wildcat...

Wildcat was/is used in college, then came to NFL and lasted a year and this year the D was ready=fad!!!!!

Zone Read and or Pistol was/is used in college then came to NFL this year the D next year will be ready=fad!!!!!

    Braveheartcolt quote:

Fad or not, it looks like it will have some good mileage left in the tank before it goes out of business....

    ^

^Yep and so did the wildcat, everybody praised and said it was great & didn't last...

    Go Colts...

  3. Colts as we all know is up there franchise "Thanks Peyton" and continued playoff contender with A.Luck, that alone should bring in players, we don't need troubled gangsta wanna be players, a good locker room is a huge benefit. Davis saw just changing teams he got into the playoffs when he couldn't the previous years, just because a crappy team drafted you, just play out your contract and do great then other teams "playoff caliber teams" will be open for you to go there, some players don't get it, if your just about the money like "Wallace" or "MJD" then once paid they probably won't contribute like when Haynesworth got the huge contract in Washington "been widely derided as the worst free agent signing in NFL history". The players past is always revalent, of course you can say something about Davis and Butlers pasts but it was minor stuff, 2 recent interviews with them they are happy and stoked to be on the Colts and they like the city...

    Go Colts!!!!!

  4. I tried and tried and tried to warn RG3 fans on here and CBS general forum that RG3 wouldn't last and would get hurt and they blew me off like I was nuts and he was the be all be QB and future of the NFL and I gave stats facts figures of running QB's and they acted like I was nuts, I was watching the Zone Read in college games and Washington and Seattle games after it was implemented after week 4 and they were taking to many chances and RG3 more than the others and bam he stayed in bounds in week 5 and got smacked and a concussion.

Then after that he started to run out of bounds sometimes short of the 1st down and or the feet first giving up and then he got frustrated and in the Ravens game stayed in bounds and ran back into the heart of the D to get the 1st down and got walloped by Ngata and the end of the year was sealed for him, they tried to say he was healthy again and was elastic and can take such hits, but that whip by his knee was extreme "It whipped over a foot the wrong direction" and I didn't believe he would be back to normal, one game out wasn't going to do any good, I stayed quiet and let them boasted he was a superior athlete and boasting about it doesn't make it true.

It's a fad! It's a gimmick! Like the wildcat and it won't last and it might work a lot in college since 90% of college players are not NFL skilled and those 10% that do get in the NFL are the bigger, faster, smarter of them.

    Think of this, normal offensive line has to have 5, LT,LG,C,RG,RT and that leaves 6 to do the rest to to move the offenses and score the points and if a opposing team can rush 3 D-linemen and that leaves 8 to defend and against a Read Zone offense and maybe a 5th very fast LB to spy on the Zone read play and there is 2 the QB and RB and a DE gets the inside play and the faster LB gets the area closer to the side line and wham the door is shut if the QB keeps the ball the DE gets the QB if he's quick & then outside guy 5th LB takes the RB if the ball is thrown to him, bam the play is dead, That is just my idea and you know the professionals will have that or like it and others to shut down the Zone Read by next year just like the wildcat this year... Defense coaches are all right now in their head or on paper are finding plays to kill the new fad :}

  5. WR this, WR that, TE this and TE that, doesn't do any good when the QB is on the ground or running for his life, offensive line is the ultimate players the Colts need, you all watching the Den-Rav game? Both their o-lines are doing great at giving the QB's time to do what they do, and the RB's some holes.

We all can speculate, (which is fun to do) but until it's the Colts pick if it's 24th or a trade to a higher one which I doubt since who we got no one to trade. We are at the Mercy of the teams before the Colts pick to determine who Colts end up getting, who all thought C.Fleener wouldn't be there and to also get the better TE D.Allen in the 3rd. And if Chapmen works out, "got fingers crossed" he also would be a steal. So we'll see what happens this coming draft, If Colts could somehow get FA R.Clady Grigson would be a god :}LOL

    Go Colts!!!!!

Ps. Is R.Clady if franchised by Denver and signed by Denver is he worth trading the 24th pick to Denver for R.Clady, at least he's established and known to be good, he's only 26 YO, Humm????? Going to be a nail biting off season!!!!! I trust Grigson!!!!!

  6. Getting a speedy WR is flashy/exciting, but he's not reliable enough health wise and small, remember who beat us in the Ravens game with awesome catches A.Boldin who's a big, fast, strong receiver who caught the ball thrown in his vicinity and he caught them and couldn't be beaten by small DB's, That is the receiver we need, I thought Coby Fleener would be that guy, but he's not looking to be, C.Fleener being 6'6" should be able to just snag every ball thrown to him and he's not, he had a ball thrown to him in his hands and got knocked out easily while Boldin later in the game had a ball in his hands on the TD throw with a defender trying to knock it out and his strength stopped it and bam TD, Colts need a receiver like him, the throws by Flacco wasn't ever precise and he just heaved them in Boldins direction and he caught them.

1st and most important that the Colts need o-line more, can't utilize good receivers if Luck is on his back or running for his life, a great o-line is the heart, even a decent QB with a great 0-line with time can find an open guy eventually, so with A.Luck and a great o-line Colts will be dominate!!!!!

Ps. C.Fleener if he doesn't start producing like a 33rd overall 2nd round pick should be and skating by because A.Luck is his buddy he might be gone sooner than later, Dwayne Allen is far superior and tries like heck!!!!! Yes C.Fleener has scored some TD's but less than he should be, he's got the speed and the height and needs to run to end zone and get ready to jump for high passes out of most DB's reaches, I just don't think he can jump, he's just too flat footed...

  7. This is a piece from a list of awards on CBS Sports dot com and just to give you all an idea on the thinking in the ROTY argument...

    Rookie of the year

Pete Prisco: Robert Griffin III. It was tough, but I gave him a slight edge over Andrew Luck.
Clark Judge: Robert Griffin III. He can run. He can pass. He can win. What he can't do is avoid the big hit, and that's an issue.
Mike Freeman: Andrew Luck. The Colts last year started 0-13 and won two games. Two of the quarterbacks were Kerry Collins and Curtis Painter. Scrub city. Luck comes in and one year later the team is in the playoffs.
Jason La Canfora: Russell Wilson. Does it all and does it well. A historic rookie season in touchdowns produced. Protects the football. He became a total stud after nearly losing his job in the first quarter of the season. Played a tough schedule and destroyed teams with his legs and arm.
    Pat Kirwan: Russell Wilson.
Will Brinson: Russell Wilson. Wilson overcame more than Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, who were handed jobs after being top picks in the draft. Wilson grew as the season went along and turned Seattle into a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Plus I picked him before the season and Pete will accuse me of having a Russell Wilson fathead in my office.
Josh Katzowitz: Robert Griffin III. Andrew Luck slumped toward the end of the season, and Russell Wilson wasn't quite as good as RG3 for most of it. RG3 transformed the Redskins.
Ryan Wilson: Robert Griffin III. You could argue that he saved Mike Shanahan's job.

This is from a piece on NFL Awards on CBS Sports dot com and will give you an idea on the thinking on ROTY and who is more likely to get it and it isn't A.Luck...

I don't see Mr. Luck getting it...

  8. Don't trust strange articles, they said the same thing about Don Imus after his *ic comment on the Rutgers women's basketball team as "That's some nappy-headed hos" and he wasn't going to be back the radio and he was going to retire to his ranch, but a year later he was right back on the radio...He'll be back on ESPN later this year after the forgetful Americans forget all about it, Liberals don't throw out their own. And he'd be down with the cause...

  9. ROTFlmao @ Skins fans!!!!! I can only laugh at that last post by poster RGlll, WOW!!!!!

I said this from day one he would get hurt and was dismissed, Skins fans got excited down below and a thrill up their legs when he would take off running, but once a guy his size went passed the 5-300+ pound guys protecting him he is fair game for the 11 guys who like to hit for a living and his number is up and look what that 6-4 340 pound Etuini Haloti Ngata who chased down RG3 and took him out with a legal hit. That is Ngata's job and he did it perfectly...

I told Skins fans over and over and over for months he needs to be a pocket passer and the excitement of him running around was more important to you all and look what it got you, congratulation!!!!!

I hope he comes back and does a traditional pocket style system, and like A.Luck take off running in straight lines to get 1st downs and out of bounds if pocket collapses, running around passed the o-line will just get him hurt!!!!!

  10. On that Christmas wish list thread I started and I though might have caught on I posted a wish list that would have made the Colts elite for years to come and the linemen we have this year are keep-able for back ups, they are not linemen for a whole season, if they are used once in a while then injuries will be able to heal if one happens and bring in a new linemen with the Colts 1st pick like Johnathan Cooper if he falls to the Colts, Now way Warmack will fall to the Colts and the Colts have nothing to trade even to get up there, I believe J.Cooper at 14 will be taken already and the next one would be Eric Fisher. And I suggested Jake Long but heard some rebuttals so if you have a better idea lets hear it, plus he would be expensive, one article I read is that he would be due somewhere around 15.3 million a year and he isn't worth that...

The Pats o-line I figured would be a shambles after Matt Light retired, but I give credit to the Pats o-line coach who reworked it and didn't skip a beat, I strongly suggest they give him a call after I hope the Pats are one and done and bring him here and also get Josh McDanials to do the offense since he would do what BA has refused because he's an old dog and won't learn any new tricks and change up to suit the QB skills. I know McDanials is being talked about for head coach again, but after his frack up in Denver he might not be head coach material. Coaches have to do what they have to do to win not keep their philosophy and get the QB killed with a bad pass blocking o-line, need to get him outside and throw instead of inside a collapsing pocket!!!!!

  11. Colts mistakes cost them the game, could have been the pressure created by themselves thinking they can't, or the media telling them they can't and now that is gone or said in another way that they will be used to it in any future game with the Texans because the coaching staff will keep reminding them that a mistake free game against any opponent will give them a chance to win those games! Losing experiences is good for different reasons then winning, I believe it will help them mentally knowing those mistakes cost them the game and learn from them!!!!! I tried my best to discribed my wacky thinking :}

  12. Like what I said on another post on a like thread is!!!!!

You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

BA is stuck in his philosophy on his offense and less likely to change which would admit he is wrong, he won't change his offense, Colts would have to get rid of him, not a fan of Josh McDaniels for his mess up in Denver, but he would be perfect to bring his system for A.Luck since he might have a few more years with T.Brady and would want the challenge to create a new T.Brady which A.Luck has the talent to do so...

T.Brady haters have to acknowlege that J.McDaniels system does work!!!!!

  13. Well during the game he was discribed as the best tackle/linemen the Colts have and described as 6'7" tall and weighing 315 pounds and there is 6 that are his height and weight in the draft order.

Ranked in the draft rank is

    #1 Luke Joeckel, junior, 6-6, 310

    #6 Chance Warmack , 6-2, 322

    #11 Taylor Lewan, 6-7, 310

    #13 Jake Mathews, 6-5, 305

    #14 Jonathan Cooper, 6-3, 310

    #28 Eric Fisher, 6-7, 305

It's not a question of size, he has the size, How about a new o-line coach, I would be on the phone to the Pats o-line coach at the end of the season, the coach replaced the best of this time LT in Matt Light, Matt Light protected T.Brady's blind side through 12 years and 5 SB, and replaced M.Light with Solder and did a great job, Solder need more practice so instead of letting him sit the last 2 preseason games like the other starters, nope he was the only starter to do so, he needed the experience and it made him a better blocker, Costanzo needs a better teacher like in a new line coach!!!!!

  14. I don't what that dancing BUFFOON at the SB and want to nip it in the bud before it gets going, you know what happens when something popular gets going and it becomes a life of it's own and the un-informed/blind people just go with the popular flow not knowing the past, obama has already endorsed this Buffoon by watching a performance and shaking his hand, anybody who supports him doing a halftime show is not a supporter of the troops, my brother was a Marine and so was my cousin, I tried to enlist when I was 24 for Desert Storm and I couldn't because of having epilepsy and I will till I die supporting ALL the troops...

  15. But you have to think like an obama supporter, if obama likes PYS then he's good enough for a SB half time show... Why else would they show him at a Toronto show doing his on stage gimmics, he's a buffoon and if he is at ANY NFL games they just wasted a whole month supporting the troops and then if PSY is allowed at a game 1/2 time show later then they're dumping on that!!!!!

  16. Been watching NFL Network and they are showing that PSY guy in a dancing Buffoon show in Toronto and I'm not getting from them if they are saying if they like him or not, I'm not sure if they want him to be in the Super Bowl half time show?????

If the NFL has anything to do with that PSY they will bull squeeze on every past and present American soldiers who gave their lives for freedom and that includes the hero's who gave their lives in Korea so he could be a dancing BUFFOON in the southern part of Korea, and if it wasn't for Americans he would be goose stepping in a parade for a communist dictator, he said this in 2 separate concerts:

"Kill those blank Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives. Kill those blank Yankees who ordered them to torture. Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers. Kill them all slowly and painfully."

Even your America president shook that bull squeezes PSY hand after a concert and wants to be a celeb like that sphincter PSY!!!!!

That person wouldn't be allowed in the White House after a back ground check if Bush was president and yet he is allowed to do a show for the president, this shows obama has no respect for American soldiers past and present!!!!! And who ever supports or like PSY is a TRAITOR to this country!!!!!

  17. Thinking of FA OT Jake Long who would be playing opposite of Costanzo and the Colts trade up to get OG Jonathan Cooper in the draft and then get FA OG Andy Levitre, and get a couple undrafted centers and keep Statele as well just in case and also I want FA Safety Jairus Byrd and with the 3rd and 4th pick try and get a new DE/OLB if Freeney doesn't want to go to 4 mil a year, just tell him flat out this is what we offer right before the draft and get a signature and if not then say we are VERY gratefull for you playing for the Colts and wish you much more success and then draft best DE/OLB with 3rd pick and the next pick find a stud WR or a FS and Colts getting back 2 condional picks from trades and then picking the best player available and the Colts will be ready to dominate the AFC for years to come...

    Go Colts...
