  1. Yess!!! i love donald but right now he just isnt cutting it maybe that will change but carter is not afraid to take it to the edge and thats what the colts have always needed.

The Colt's have always needed someone to take it to the edge? No the Colt's have always needed someone to take it up the gut, screen passes are way more effective than taking it to the edge. Off tackle is what the Colt's need, Addai had a couple nice ones tonight

  2. Okay,Vaughn better be gone tomorrow, if not tonight!!!! Because of him and his crap on the field, we lost this pre season game.

Yeah, and we lost the other two due to painter. wait whut?

  3. You mean Chip Vaughn, who lost us the game? Are you being sarcastic?

He lost the game? How? He wasn't in when they scored, he wasn't in on special teams. He didn't lose anything and actually i got a good laugh from " hey man you dropped this"

  4. Good choice no denying that. Id have to go with the edge though 2nd for me. My wall is plastered with his autographed pics and I think I have about 15 rookie cards of his!!!! lol

Really wish he would've got a ring....

    And #3 goes to?

  5. See I am a Colts fan first. Don't get me wrong I love Peyton Manning but he's not even my favorite player. Dallas Clark is my favorite and my all-time favorite is that coach's son, Jim Harbaugh. Man that 1995 season was just full of magic.

Yes it was. Jack was a heck of a coach that built a powerhouse, i don't figure the apples will fall far from the tree.

Clark is awesome. Wayne, Collie, Freeney, Mathis, Sanders :chargers: ,James, Rhodes,

Pain :excited::no: . The Colt's have excellent players as long as Manning is there. Tamme UK :worthy: , became a threat in the NFL last year.

Like you'r screenname as 18 - 88 is a connection that i sorely miss. If i had to name my second favorite Colt of all time, no contest, Marvin Harrison.

  6. I never said I was a bigger Colts fan than you. I was just stating I wasn't just a Peyton Manning fan because you said your last post that you were a Peyton Manning fan.

I am a Manning fan first, just like every Colts fan. Just like the FO.

The only exception would be a relative of another player on the team. I'm thinking that was the quote of the mod instead of yours. He/she claimed someone was more of a Peyton fan than a Colt fan, i think that is not only likely but a probable description of everyone for the past 13yrs..

WKU is about 15mins. from here and i liked the coach's son,he gave us some good years. He will be an asset out west, can't wait for the West vs. East hype as it will be way more entertaining to watch than the present twins debacle.

  7. That's there difference between you and me. You are a Peyton Manning fan, I am a Colts fan as well as a Peyton Manning fan. I followed this team before Manning is here and will follow them after he's gone. What does the Baltimore point have to do with anything? I was 2 when they left the city. I didn't know what football was. When I was old enough to know what it was I was told the Colts were my hometown team and they became my team and have been ever since.

Yes one Super Bowl does make me happy, like I said I can remember watching a bunch of bad football teams. I remember going nuts when we went 9-7 with Harbaugh and just made the playoffs. The Super Bowl was just something you watched on TV and never even thought the Colts could get there. Yet in 1995 we almost did, I honeslty shed tears over the last play because I never thought the Colts would have that chance again. So yes seeing the Colts win a Super Bowl in my life time made me happy. I spent a lot of years watching bad teams and wishing for that. Would I like more? Sure who wouldn't? If we don't get more though I am not going to let greed ruin that one for me. The past 10 years or so if something NFL fans dream of and I've enjoyed it.

I don't get your stuff at the end. I never brought that up. I just pointed out I've enjoyed this time we've had with Manning because frankly after he's gone we aren't going to see it again, that would seem to suggest that I think Peyton Manning is a pretty special player so I don't get why you are bringing that stuff up at the end. Also just for the record being a great QB doesn't promise you anything when it comes to Super Bowls, ask Dan Marino, Fran Tarkenton, or Jim Kelly that. Manning has just as many rings as Len Dawson, Brett Favre, or Johnny U just to name a few. There is no shame in only winning one. Lots of greats would love to just have that one.

Oh crap i'm alot older than you t-h-u-d . I became a Colt's fan by transplanted family, tryin to escape Ky. Occasionaly on labor day or thanksgiving or Christmas my family members would bring pictures/clippings, even a VCR with videotape.

You are not a bigger Colt's fan than i, and probably even a bigger Manning fan. Of course SEC rules and i became a huge fan when he was orange :yuk: .

The last part was a failed attempt at x2 quote, other part was directed at the mod that won't take off that Bob avatar. He better get it done before the next contest!

  8. I hope Peyton takes his time and doesnt rush this. Lets be honest folks at his age he wont be healing fast! I dont want to see him play rusty! His throws will be off by 2ft. Our defense is looking pretty stacked on paper right now. Im in favor of Peyton missing the 1st 2 games so he can be as ready as possible! We have a very young O line now crap let Painter get creamed while Ben Ijulana and Anthony Castonzo learn on the fly.

    Manning's 2' errant passes > painter's 6' errant passes

  9. You know I remember the 1-15 days and maybe you do too I don't know but if we end this run with only one Super Bowl :hello: I am just going to be happy I got to see my team win a Super Bowl in my life-time. Not a lot of people can say that. Should the Colts have done better in the post-season? Probably but I am not going to complain about what I have had because odds are we aren't going to see this again and if we do not for a long time after it's over so I am just enjoying it.

Super Bowl? That makes you happy?

You have been blessed with the greatest QB to ever play the game and you'r team won one Super Bowl? I would be ticked!

I'm easily a Peyton Manning fan first, no question. It's gonna be hard for anyone to argue against that point and take up for the FO :hello: . Watch this team and fan base without Manning. AHEM, i'm sorry, all you Baltimore fans speak up.

The AFC south has been building teams to beat the Colts for years, first it was d and Manning proved my point. Second is running it down our throat, it works if Manning doesn't get the ball at the end.

Quite simply, without Manning i'm positive the Colts don't win a game in AFC south.

  10. Anyone that doesn't think so is crazy. So can we please end all the "veteran" QB discussions? I'm all for signing a decent backup that can be groomed to take over the offense when Manning is gone but this crap about signing old QB's or QB's that other teams have walked away from is insane. Also we won't be giving up any draft picks to get one of these guys.

Worst case scenario is Peyton is out for season, This will work for us though because Painter plays all season we go 0-16 and get the #1 overall pick next year and we draft a good backup QB :D

18 will be on the field. The rest of the team, day to day basis.

  11. I think OP makes some valid points.

I also think Irsay is a looney toon, or that he really likes preying on peoples minds. If Irsay is even considering picking up a qb at this stage, then he needs to keep a low profile on football matters  .

With a defense that couldn't win many pop warner games, what does it matter if the offense sucks? Do you really expect to hold "the fort" with a veteran qb that noone else wants?

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and can't stop the run, rest your worries on Painters shoulders :hide:

^ Actually, if you look closely, they make a lot of sense. The secret is how wide his eyes get in relation to any lip and eyebrow curling. We're talking cm's of spacial difference, but that one cm can speak volumes!

I think that sadness face is actually his " i think that teams needs a T.O." face. Possibly his "MJD looks winded" face.
