  1. I am sorry but I just can't get behind Curtis as a starting QB. I gave him the benifit of the doubt as long as I could.

Last season . . . he didn't stand a chance in the conditions he was thrown into.

So I watched this season before making a decision on where I stood.

I am not impressed and I don't think he will lead this team to the playoffs. One good quarter (ok decent) does not change my mind. He is going to have to show more than that.

I hope i'm wrong, but sadly i don't think we make the playoffs unless #18 suits up monday night. It's all great and dandy that a team showed up against pittsburgh but i'm less than optimistic about what we will see against Tampa. It's always been that way except PEYTON MANNING could outscore anyone if he had the ball and time on the clock. Ask Bill.

Curtis Painter needs a haircut, a good pencil, and a notepad. Maybe he could become an artist.

I swear Addai has to be ticked off at how little respect he has received and the Oline must be the same on that scoring drive. Painter led that huh? After the entire game of the Colts owning the run game, Painter comes in and leads them down the field :loco: .

Collins has sucked plenty because he has not had three years with the system, Painter has and my 7yr. old son can make all three of the passes he shanked. Painter should not be in the NFL period and i gaurantee Hartline is a better option. Painter wasn't even a good college qb.

I promise he will make his homers  next time he plays. He doesn't have it period.

  2. Well fortunately your wrong so you can eat crow now, painter is only getting better and as soon as the dude came in the team drove down the field.. mind you thats with no practice.... Why are ppl blaming painter for that sack fumble? idk i guess he's suppose to pass and block at the same time.

Painter is gonna come into mondays game and have a pretty good game i wouldnt be surprised if he goes in there and throws 3tds with the help of that running game, i think alot of ppl are gonna be surprised to see how well the guy can actually play in a full game.

Listen Curtis,, i mean Smitto, i hope you are right. There is absolutely 0 evidence that Painter is getting better. ZERO!

I'll give him one game and if he does ok i'll continue it on a one game basis. It's his to take, he has just failed miserably in getting it done. The td drive thing still makes me laugh. I'm sure Addai isn't

  3. If painter is horrible then the best thing the colts can do is do some extensive evaluation on the team... cause by the time the team concedes that notion the season would be gone.

So Painter is the savior? I'm telling you this guy is a flop, he's proved it time and time again. I expected a whole lot more from Collins and possibly he needs more time. Painter is not in the same boat, we ran it down pitts throats all game, why let Painter make a fool out of himself again?

He didn't just shank the td he also bounced a couple ten feet in front of open receivers.

I will be the first to eat crow, if i'm right it's time for Painter to fade off into the sunset.

  4. Painter didn't lead any td drive. That was all Addai! The coaches can take some heat over letting Painter throw the ball when our run game was doing great, but in the end the fumble and missed little league pass cost us the game.

Does Painter know that he can't skip the ball to the receivers, no really, does he

  5. Painter, he still has a ton to prove, but he is better than Collins. He has to watch out for those hits so he doesn't fumble, but he does seem to possess an understanding of the offense. With more practice reps this week hopefully he can give us a a chance.

That was a great throw to Garcon for that td, oh wait..........

  6. I cant belive some of you guys...im in no way happy with the loss or the way we played...but some of you are running down the whole organization from irsay down to the gatorade guy(ok so I embellish a lil)...you guys are writing off the whole season after just one game...its obivious this is may be some if you guys first bad season...should have been here in 91 and 97 now they were bad season and those were two really inept coaching staffs...its the first week...chill out instead of crying and moaning focus on cleveland..dont give up on "our" team so quick

No it's not after just one game. Many on here have pointed out for years what was happening to this team. Alot of people didn't think Caldwell was qualified to be a head coach :hello: .

Alot of people didn't like the fact that our special teams have been nonexistent for years. Alot of people didn't like the fact that we have dared teams to run at our d because Manning could catch up.Alot of people didn't like how the FO has rested upon Manning to carry this team. All these things that people predicted would happen is happening.

I don't think anyone that is complaining now about what they have complained about for years, is a fair weather fan. I've said it before and i'll say it again, anyone who says they are a Colt's fan first and a Manning fan second, haven't been paying attention. Bet they are now!!!! :beg:

  7. At least painter knows the system, collins holds on to the ball too long. At least painter will throw it away... I seriously over estimated the colts coaching staff... and thats not something i thought i would have ever said.... Painter?

I don't even want Painter on the roster, clear enough? This loss lays at Caldwell's feet, if the entire team comes out flat next week, it will also.

Painter would have coughed the ball up on the patheitc block by Clark (yes it was a pathetic attempt), botched snaps happen all the time. Special teams have been pathetic for so long one can almost chalk up a run back. The d was terrible. Scheme, intensity, and just common pride, absolutely terrible.

I have a hard time believing that Caldwell could inspire a malnourished polar bear to eat a baby seal. Rodney Harrison made it a point to mention that the Colts were outcoached, and he was entirely spot on.

  8. Tryon is as fast as lacey, though lacey got the lowest 40 time by 1 or 2 seconds which doesnt matter but all in all lacey is a better man coverage corner.

Why does this keep coming up? 1 or 2 seconds in a 40 is freakin huge in reaction. Where is your link?

1 or 2 seconds is pretty major, and if Lacey is that much faster than Tryon, i must have been giving Lacey too much credit. Care to share the link?

  9. His face was turned away from the camera the majority of the time. I think a video is against forum rules, but a picture should be fine. Snapped this from a TV recording.

Caldwell: I'll have the double mcwhopanator with cheese, chili fries, and onion.

    FIFY

I'm quite sure Jimmy was just as suprised as st coach was. Cue Caldwell's suprised face.
