The colts are the better team.  That doesn't mean they automatically win game

You don't think they'd take most of the colts personnel?

Not with that injury list . I think a lot of Colt fans think they are better than they are.  This was tailor made for this.

  2. He should be 3-0. Made what should have been the game winning drive week 1. Did in week 2.  And led the deciding drive week 3.  I would give him an A - so far.  Needs to work on not letting the clock run out and holding onto the ball too long sometimes.  Smith and the right side is being exploited .

Happy for the win but a little nervous about our secondary.  A very good QB like Ryan and I'm sure Brady and Mahomes, will have a field day against our secondary if given the time.  Our pass rush is really not consistant and still being worked on.  Moore is very good.  Desir is good and Wilson is barely avg and Rock is a rookie.  We are forced to play zone most of the time and you can see how a good QB can pick up chunks in a hurry without serious pressure.  I can see why we are being linked to Ramsey.  He would be an immediate upgrade and a real difference maker if added to our secondary.  Whichever one of the contenders gets him will be very difficult to beat come playoff time.  As if they wouldn't be already.  I wonder if todays game will rekindle Ballards interest.  We are contenders that's for sure.

Will? What good  QB hasn't sliced through the cover 2 like swiss cheese the last 2 years?

That's the problem.  The system relies on pass rush heavily and that is something we don't have on a consistent basis.  They are working on it and hoping some players develop but you never know what we are going to get week to week.  Great QB's like Ryan, Brady, Mahomes will pick us apart.  They will be able to pick up big chunks of yards in a hurry.  That is why I think we were linked to Ramsey.  Having probably the best shutdown CB on your team can help offset the pass rush deficiencies.  He would immediately upgrade our secondary considerably.  Now that we have shown we should be considered serious contenders maybe Ballard might try again now that it appears his asking price might come down.  Real long shot but what the heck.  Iffy pass rush and soft zone is not a good combo IMO.

That's why it's not that common anymore.  Most teams either play a hybrid or a lot of press if they have like superior lines and corners (not too many ).

I thought we were straight at DB but Ballard may have to make some moves during draft and offseason. We are good for letting up at least 24 against high powered offenses.

That's because they play cover 2 , which is designed to limit big plays , corners , safeties playing zone. They had an inconsistent rush today.  The system relies on pass rush heavily.  Good QB  , when dared to string together long drives and first downs eat it alive.  Ryan left a lot of points on the field also.

I liked Vanderjagt until the Pittsburgh game too!

One of the best regular season kickers ever. Remember him kicking a bunch in the snow at Denver for a win. Unfortunately , his mouth and that shank cost him his job.  He also shanked one against Miami in the playoffs , early 2000s.

Adam and Anderson were both in the NFL at the same time.  This isn’t comparing Berry to Jerry Rice.

I am stating fact too, people who cover this game call Adam the greatest of all time and they saw Anderson too.  Not just Colts fans.  If you want to disagree then fine.

You care what sportswriters say ? Lol. That  is the absolute last opinion I would care what.  They dont know any better than anybody else.  Lol. Half of them don't know their , well , you know.

And Adam came along and was better.  This isn’t really questioned by anyone except those that are trying to be a contrarian.  That’s nothing against Anderson as he was great too.

I don't care what the masses say.  I'm stating fact, accept or dont . Recency bias has everybody in the modern era as better than the previous. Morten , by all pro , pro bowl , whatever , was more decorated.  Just never kicked in the postseason like adam.

I did.  The fact Adam did only adds to his greatness.  Its not Adams fault Anderson didn’t get to big game.  Also Adam still broke Anderson’s records if you take the big games out of it.

Morten also made all -pro  more times. He was unquestionably the best back in his day.   7 to 3, way more pro bowl nods.

Yes, anyone who isn’t trying to be a contrarian will tell you Adam is the best kicker of all time.  Not only does he have the records he has the clutch kicks too in the biggest or situations too.

Did you even read the last part of my post ? Adam hasn't been the best kicker in the league for awhile. Not saying he isn't,  but it isn't as clear cut as a lot of people would have you believe.  He just passed Morten in FG like a year ago finally.

He’s not overrated.  He’s without question the greatest kicker of all time.  Still we might very well be watching the end of his career right now, Father Time is undefeated.  That’s not overrated, it’s the end of ones career.  It’s like saying Peyton Manning was overrated because of the last season of his career.

Without question ? Morten Anderson was up there but didn't get to kick in big games because of his team.

Unpopular and pretty stupid to do.

You can't do it. This was THE week.

So you want a kicker that had two bad games in a row to quit?  Yeah, that would be really classy. <roll eyes>

I have a better idea ... he fights through two bad games and proceeds to be old reliable for the next 14 games plus 4 playoff games, then retiring as a SuperBowl champion.

    5 bad game
