That's a one-year deal for DHB with Indy. Up to $3 million. $1.5 million guaranteed.
-
Best available (no particular order) Guard/Receiver/Pass Rush/Cornerback
Edit: added cornerback
-
Looks like he'll be making a decision
Edit: This isn't to say the Colts haven't moved on, just interesting additional infoPer @davebirkett of the Detroit Free Press, Carries Heyward-Bey left the Lions without a deal. #Colts
Also per @davebirkett, DHB will make a decision after flying home. Lions and #Colts appear to be lone suitors.

Came here expecting another Fleener hate thread, was pleasantly surprised and this made me happier

I got to ask GM Ryan Grigson a question on the season ticket holder conference call. What did I ask about? The Whopper.
Grigson said that they 'cast a lot of lines in the water' and waited to see what would bite. They were hopeful on a few guys.
Grigson went on to say that he thought DHB would be a great addition to the roster and could do great things in the #Colts offense.
Translation: DHB is NOT the 'whopper' and the original 'bite' they had fell off the hook. Seemed content with adding DHB.
He did mention that he didn't think slot WR's were worth HUGE dollars and that they can be found at the bottom of the draft.
He's excited about Griff Whalen and mentioned that Welker and Amendola were late picks or undrafted. Won't overpay. #Colts
For those asking... Yes, it seems as though DHB will be suiting up for tge #Colts this season. Grigson seemed to elude to it.

Some contract details
Ed Reed's deal in Houston is for three years. Per source, Reed will make $6 million in Year 1.
Max value of Ed Reed's deal is about $15 million over three years ... And, again, around $6 million in Year 1.

Looks like it's over gang, good job team, we tried hard, and hit the biggest thread on the forum, but looks like nothing will come out of it
Jim Irsay tells Indy Star #Colts still want to add WR. "Whopper" deal hit a snag. If I had to guess, draft is most likely route.
Irsay also confirmed to Star that "whopper" target was a free agent deal, not a trade. Did not identify WR. #Colts

Not that it means much right now, but its just for fun, the Colts make top 10!

We get Mr. Irrelevant again! Yes!

Matt Hasselbeck is close to agreement with Colts, who have been quickly aggressive, just as @MikeGarafolo reported short time ago.

@gmbremer So is there steal a deal on signing a WR or is that done now?
@coltsnumberone Last I heard, there is still a deal in the works. Colts waiting on an answer from mystery WR.
-
@gmbremer @coltsnumberone Deal as in contract offer or trade? Sorry. Desperate for info.
@ChicagoColt @coltsnumberone Haven't seen confirmation whether it's a signing or a trade. Just know it's in the WR's hands now. Or was.
According to Bremer the deal is still alive
Edit: Deleted extra twitter stuff to try to clean up how the post looks

What is the point of Harnish if they are going to keep him pushed down.
I'd think they hope no one signs him off the practice squad, then when Luck has more years of experience and doesn't need anymore Veteran knowledge, let him be backup

Yay our new receiver! (Joking)
-
I'm kinda surprised none of the big guys or "inside" guys like Schefter or Rapoport have heard much about any of this, they usually seem to be in everything
-
I'm unsure how seriously everyone takes Bleacher report, but they say the Colts are 18.8 under cap
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1567273-updated-salary-cap-figures-for-every-nfl-team/page/15 -
No, it's only been a year, most TE's don't produce in their first year, no need to be concerned at this point in time
-
Nahh, Irsay wants a young guy to be the future #1. Britt is like 31.
In 7 years he'll be 31
-
Who else would be worth all this hassle?
It seems in Irsay's personality that it's literally anyone he thinks would make the team better
-
just got back home...... 48 pages later....
someone send me the cliff notes
Summary: Pages 1-47 It's Cruz! Page 48 Irsay just said it's not Cruz at the owners meeting
-
-
Should we rely on a Jets beat writer?
Irsay said it himself at the Owners conference, according to Mike Chappel
-
#colts owner Jim Irsay to media at owners' meetings: "it's not (Victor) Cruz, no". So that's one name to cross off the list.
Welp
Also, yay! Now we can have new speculations!

It's the top X number of players based on performance of that year, Peyton didn't play, I'm surprised he was ranked at all.
