  1. I would have asked him, "Cam, given your main focus this week is the Detroit Lions, and being protected from Donkey Kong Suh, and your former Auburn teammate Nick Fairley, can you say that your main focus this week is the Detroit Lions, and being protected from Donkey Kong Suh, and your former Auburn teammate Nick Fairley?"

  2. He did good for a guy who has been a perennial back up throughout his career. He had 13 td's along with 1 interception in 8 games, but that was last year... and with a totally different team. However, if you want to go off last years teams I seem to recall Carolina having a pretty bad offense that lost players. So they will struggle in that area, and that defense better be stellar to make up for it those problems. Detroit has improved all around.

13 TD/1 INT is pretty good for anybody I'd say...

What I'm saying is, Manning is worse than McCown, in my opinion. So it's easy for a decent defense to look great against him. They may have improved but it's gonna take more than a game or two for me to say their D is on par with Carolina's.

  3. Number 2 defense after one game with a qb who didn't play... and they beat Tampa Bay by 7. Carolina has no real standout at receiver. Meanwhile Detroit has more than one target on offense, a dynamic pass catching running back, and defensively they looked better than Carolina.

Everyone looks great on D when you play against Eli.

  4. @AlbertBreer: Texans S DJ Swearinger told me Jadeveon Clowney said in the immediate aftermath he stepped on one of "the holes" in the NRG Stadium field.

Texans field has always been beyond terrible

Agreed...our punter blew out his knee and sued because of it...also Welker's ACL tear in 2009. It's been well documented.

  5. I was watching when it was 24-0 and my dad texted me that he was changing the channel because it was a beatdown. I texted him back he should keep watching, because like clockwork the Colts always seem to come back. I knew you'd score at least 20 unanswered points, it's just how you guys roll.

If you decided to run the actual team out for both halves instead of letting the JV team play the first, you'd probably win every game.

  6. I agree.  Joe Flacco was the MVP of the super bowl.  We all know the Ravens' D carried that team.

I'll agree with you on that except in 2012, the Ravens' D was pretty mediocre and they barely got into the playoffs, where Flacco got amazingly hot and threw 11 TDs to 0 INTs or whatever it was.

Wilson is showing shades of Brady, back when he was a 'game manager' but whenever he needed to make a play, he came through.

  7. This brings up an interesting question. Why DOESN'T Sherman play the #1 WR at all times? I always assumed he did. How can he be more effective on only one side of the field, when he plays a linear position on a rectangular field? Why can't he just mirror what he does on the other side? Is this normal for top rated CBs?
